Hi all, just finished watching this. Some of the things I thought made us a bit special and unique, is in fact incorrect. He puts a bit of humour into it as well. Clearly a very intelligent man

Here he is again - looking quickly at the tit for tat theory and how it applies to aggression. If the pollies watched this and had an ounce of conscience - it could avoid wars! Only short

My answer to the question of what makes us human would surely be one simple word:

hubris

My answer to the question of what makes us human would surely be one simple word: hubris

hmmm - doesnt that mean

Definition of HUBRIS: exaggerated pride or self-confidence — hu·bris·tic \hyü-ˈ bris-tik\ adjective. Examples of HUBRIS. His failure was brought on by his hubris.

I dont think all humans suffer from this, do you? or do you have an alternative meaning?

My answer to the question is :

The ability to create and express ourselves in many ways, even unique ways as universal beings.
That's what makes us human, aside from some stereotypical reasonings out there ....

Wow. Thank you so very much witchy1. - that was a fantastic presentation and probably one of the best commencement style speeches I have heard. Its a pity he wasn't actually speaking at the commencement ( probably too intelligent for all the right wing puffed up parents and guests). At about 32 minutes in he references the male baboons being killed by humans and how that changed their social dynamic. Makes one think about Annunaki intervention and motivation.

Can't wait to watch the next one, but I have to go feed my winged dinosaurs now :) Again, thank you!!!!

hey there = )

In a way, I guess I do think all humans suffer from this. At least the 20th Century version, Homo Colossus.

This version of humanity, to some extent, I think suffers from it. I can't speculate on what other versions there may be - but I do think humanity in general is shackled not by an oppressive regime but man's limited thinking. And I feel those limits are self-imposed by man's so-called sanity / sense of rationality.

I feel hubris can be expanded / condensed as a concept and applied to any example of man's folly throughout the ages. We truly are imperfect, in this form.

I guess that's what the Chakra System points towards. If we were all Pineally Capable , shall we say, do you think we would still be referring to ourselves as human?

That's of course my view. But for me, hubris seems to pop up throughout the history of man.

Peace = )

I’m starting to think there are different types/breeds of humans on this planet.

Human (imo) means being humane. It’s clear that some of us have compassion, resilience, ambitious, and an undying thirst for knowledge. We not only learn from our mistakes and adapt to any situation…we make it beneficial. However, the humanity that has been displayed across the world isn’t quite what we teach and/or preach. It’s hard to describe what is human when the bulk of people show fear, insecurity, coldness, selfishness, envy, and indolence. Either we are being secretly transformed into something else….or there’s a covert invasion of the body snatchers happening right before our eyes. In these trying times...I still can’t believe what we (as a whole) take serious and what we see as amusement. Humans strive for excellence and do not tolerate being held back. At times, I’m not so sure of how many humans are left in this world/realm. Our deeds in this time, in this existence are hardly human. TBH, when I look at where we are…monstrous is a name that comes to mind. The very few can change this thou, but it will take courage to unleash the power within...

beautifully said!!

and some other sporadic human thoughts: we cannot deny that humans have an insaciable amount of passion, drive, and a sense of adventure to strive endlessly to discover the unknown. it seems every single one of us is seeking, some more than others, but always seeking nonetheless. when we fail, people will usually comfort you by saying, 'its okay, you're human' - which to me means that we are perfectly imperfect and our growth comes through experience, and failure is our motivation to just try harder. we are strivers for happiness and are creatures of love. even if severely wounded, you'll usually unravel the person to a point in there life where they were hurt, manipulated, or removed from nurture - and in order for them to heal, they need love. we are love. our weaknesses are our strengths and we're fighters for whats right. we are magnificent creatures indeed.

Of course this might not all sound accurate, especially when considering the 'powers that be.' So above, I speak of the root of mankind, and I cant speak for all human-like beings on Earth because i am a firm believer in Zecharia Sitchin, and the Annunaki, and other various Ancient methods of cross breeding ET w/ human, which most certainly added a very interesting dynamic here on earth. >:)

Yes life on earth is a unique one ;)

Love!
