I was saddened to read the below article I found on the Mercola Web site. The meddling of the FDA into the rights of individuals to choose healthy food choices is intolerable. We can purchase soda pop, candy, processed food with little or no nutritious value, we can have cigarettes, alcohol but healthful raw milk seems to be criminal........................

Story at-a-glance From the Mercola Web site......

The trial of Wisconsin dairy farmer Vernon Hershberger recently began at the Sauk County Courthouse. Hershberger’s farm was targeted by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection for supplying a private buying club with raw milk and other fresh produce.
Hershberger is charged with four criminal misdemeanors that could result in a jail sentence of up to 30 months
Criminal trials centering around raw milk are scheduled to take place in both Minnesota and Wisconsin this year
CDC data shows there are about 412 confirmed cases of people getting ill from pasteurized milk each year, while only about 116 illnesses a year are linked to raw milk. Research by Dr. Ted Beals shows that you are about 35,000 times more likely to get sick from other foods than you are from raw milk
If the FDA and state agencies are allowed to impose their view of “safe food” on consumers, raw milk won’t be the only thing lost—all food will be pasteurized, irradiated, and genetically engineered. The effort to reclaim our right to buy and consume raw milk is leading the way for everyone who wants to be able to obtain the food of their choice from the source of their choice

Quote from 1984 About Telescreens
"The telescreen recieved and transmitted simultaneously. Any sound Winston made, above the level of a very low whisper, would be picked up by it; moreover, so long as he remained within the field of vision which the metal plaque commanded, he could be seen as well as heard. There was of course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment. How often, or on what system, the Thought Police plugged in on any individual wire was guesswork. It was even conceivable that they watched everybody all the time. But at any rate they could plug in your wire whenever the wanted to. You had to live- did live, from habit that became instinct- in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized.

As an abductee with 95 percent conscious recall of his experiences, Jim Sparks, talked about how over the years he went from resistor to cooperator with the alien beings who abducted him. His interactions were with two different types of 'grey' aliens, he said-- short "worker bees" who were half-robotic, and taller (4 to 5 ft. tall) biological beings with large heads and eyes, and skinny necks, torsos, and arms. They communicate via telepathy, and the taller beings are able to think 10-100 times faster than humans, as well as hold hundreds of thoughts in their mind at the same time, he detailed. Their advanced scientific abilities (such as being able to move through walls) can seem like to magic to us, and they only can be seen when they want us to see them, he continued.

The beings have unfettered access to our minds-- i.e. we have no private thoughts from them, and that is extremely intimidating, and hard to be around, he commented. However, over time, he eventually learned to adapt to being around them, and his fears and discomfort lessened. He's convinced that the aliens have conquered death, though they can be killed. Intriguingly, Sparks revealed they have the ability to time travel. He had a small scale experience of it himself, when he was brought back after an abduction and the clock showed a time that was earlier than when he was taken. In the first years of his abductions, Sparks reported that he was threatened by odd government agents, telling him to keep quiet about his experiences.

The aliens have their own agenda which deals with concerns over the creatures they seeded on our planet (including humans), Sparks noted, adding that various agreements humanity made with them have all been broken (by us) over time. The aliens have suggested "amnesty" be offered to those who have deliberately kept their presence secret from the public, so the truth can come out, he said. Their hybrid program, he explained, was successful in creating human beings that are more intelligent, environmentally sensitive, and telepathic, and they could potentially populate the planet, if something happened to us. copied from coast to cast site.

He brought up one idea from the aliens. To grant amnesty for the powers that be freedom from prosecution so that the truth about aliens may be released. Very much a moral issue kicker. Grant amnesty to the guilty to kick-start the human evolution.

The allegory which forms the basis for this story has been knocking around in my head for over ten years, and collecting dust in my mental attic. Then the comments of enfoldedblue and Fred Steeves in enfoldedblue's great thread "Caught in Our Feedback Loops" inspired me to dust off the old tale and finally write it down. It's final form turned out to be very much influenced by enfoldedblue's OP in her thread, and by Fred's comments, as well as by enfoldedblue's great story "The Sacred Garden - a story".

This story is an allegory, a fable, that expresses only my personal opinion on a number of the spiritual matters that were discussed in the previous thread. What its actual value is, I'm not sure. But I hope it will at least be interesting some here.

Since it is fairly long, over fourteen manuscript pages, the full story is uploaded as a pdf file attachment to this post. I'll just quote the first section here to give folks an taste of it:

The Mountain at the Center of the World
-A Fable

Dedicated to Everyone
but especially to
Lorraine S. Frazier-Earle
and to Cristina Lavers
and Fred Steeves

***

My name is not important. You can call me John Doe, if you want.
I’m just here to try to share a strange story with you to the best of my memory.

There was an old scroll, written in several languages, found in a cave -- I don’t know where --and
lost track of, in the basement of the university library. I stumbled upon it while cleaning out old boxes as
part of my student janitor job one night. Well, I took it to my professor in the archaeology
department and he translated from it the following myth. I asked the professor if I might have a copy
of his translation once he had finalized it? He said, "Sure." But, when I asked him how it was
coming along about a week later, he apologized and said that somehow he had lost both the scroll
and the translation! Hum? Anyway, here is the myth as I can best remember him relating it to me:

Long ago there was a very large valley that was completely encircled by high mountains.
Square in the center of this enclosed valley stood the highest mountain of them all, rising
majestically, by itself, from the valley floor, next to the lake that kept it company. It had other
natural companions as well: forest to its north, plains to its east and south, rocky outcroppings to its
west.

There were many animals that lived in the valley, and also there were some people. Yes,
people. How did they get there? They did not know. They only had some legends that their
ancestors somehow came to the valley over the barrier mountains that encircled them. It was so long
ago that they believed it was just a myth. The people, most of them, now believed that they had
always been in the valley and that actually there was nothing beyond the barrier mountains.

About once a generation or so, someone would try to find a way out of the barrier mountains.
They were never heard from again. Always. I mean,if these adventurers could find their way out,
they could find their way back in to tell the others about it. Couldn’t they? Of course. So, this was
taken, by almost everyone, as proof that there simply wasn’t anything ‘out there’.

The people lived in several villages around the valley. The hunters and carpenters lived
mostly in the north, by the forest. Those who mined ores and quarried rock lived near the rocky
outcrops. The farmers lived mostly in the south and a few were in the east. Most of the other
craftspeople and the merchants lived in the east portion of the valley. The people traded with each
other and lived for the most part in peace. But there were some bad problems. Yes, there were.
Those problems centered around that large mountain that was at the center of these people’s world.

A BBC radio report mentioned that it's believed the killing was 'filmed'.

That could mean there's going to be a video going around the internet very soon that will be so sensational it'll draw in a lot of attention.

EDIT:

Early reports said the dead man was a soldier who was beheaded with a hatchet and then the 2 men who did it posed to be filmed and then they were shot by police and taken to hospital.

The Obama administration has set out to brand those who share information publicly as spies, even asserting sharing of information with the public is worse than sharing it with our worst enemies.

When Thomas Drake, then an official at the National Security Agency, realized that the agency’s decision to shut down an internal data analysis program and instead outsource the project to a private contractor provided the government with less effective analysis at much higher cost, he tried to do something about it. Drake’s decision to join three other whistleblowers in asking the agency’s inspector general to investigate ultimately made him the target of a leak investigation that tore his life apart.

In 2005, the inspector general of the Department of Defense, of which NSA is a part, confirmed the whistleblowers’ accusations of waste, fraud and security risk.

Earlier this year, former NSA Director Michael Hayden even conceded that TrailBlazer, the program for which the NSA paid over $1 billion to the Science Applications International Corporation, had failed. The agency, after killing its own program (called ThinThread) “outsourced how we gathered other people’s communications,” he said in response to a question from investigative journalist Tim Shorrock. “And that was a bridge too far for industry. We tried a moonshot, and it failed.”

Nevertheless, Drake’s efforts to expose that waste and abuse would ultimately lead to his being charged under the 1917 Espionage Act — a law intended for the prosecution of spies, not whistleblowers.

Drake, a subject of a new documentary, War on Whistleblowers: Free Press and the National Security State, could have been put away for the rest of his life. “Speaking truth to power is now a criminal act,” Drake told filmmaker Robert Greenwald.

The investigation that would ensnare Drake began in 2006, under the Bush administration. But he wasn’t charged until 2010, when the Obama administration accused him of providing information to Baltimore Sun reporter Siobhan Gorman. In 2006 and 2007, she wrote a series of articles on NSA inefficiencies sourced to as many as 18 people, including Drake, who contends that he did not provide any classified information to her.

Rather than charging him with leaking classified information, the government charged him with retaining classified information. Over the course of the investigation, however, the government admitted that some of the documents in question had subsequently either been declassified or were never classified to begin with. Between that embarrassing revelation and the attention of good government groups, the case against Drake fell apart.

In 2011, the government dismissed all espionage-related charges against Drake, and he pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor charge: unauthorized use of a government computer. The judge in the case, Richard Bennett, said the case against Drake “doesn’t pass the smell test,” when he sentenced him to probation. Today Drake works at an Apple retail store rather than serving the country in a high-level national security role.

In a speech at the National Press Club last month, Drake talked about being charged with a crime originally targeted at people who sold sensitive information to our enemies.

“When you’re painted with the Espionage Act, it’s the worst thing,” Drake said, “because you’re immediately put into the same category historically as the Aldrich Ameses of the world, or the [Robert] Hanssens of the world — the real spies.”

“That’s how that World War I statute was originally designed,” Drake continued. “Troubled as it is, in terms of the Constitution, it was designed to go after spies, not truth-tellers, not whistleblowers, and not people having contact with the press. It was not designed for that. But that’s what it’s turned into.”

Equating Whistleblowing With Spying

Thomas Drake’s prosecution is just the most egregious of a series of cases the Obama administration has pursued against whistleblowers. While a number of the cases were initiated under the Bush administration, the Department of Justice under President Barack Obama has used the Espionage Act far more expansively than his predecessors. All told, Obama’s DOJ has prosecuted six whistleblowers and a researcher under the Espionage Act (in addition to Drake, the Obama administration has charged Shamai Leibowitz, Jeffrey Sterling, Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, Jeffrey Sterling, Bradley Manning, and James Hitselberger).

“The government, backed by the national security state influence, is using its powers and influence to threaten, scare and try to silence whistleblowers and journalists,” said Greenwald, whose film is a joint project with the War Costs project of the Brave New Foundation, which he founded. “Using its unlimited legal and financial resources the effort to scare [people] into silence even before going through the judicial process is a serious miscarriage of justice and democracy.”

The government effectively maintains that sharing information about American policies with the American public is as bad as secretly dealing top-secret information to one of our enemies.

In both the Sterling case, in which a former CIA officer allegedly provided information on a botched operation targeted at Iran, and the Manning case, in which Bradley Manning leaked information to WikiLeaks, the government has even said as much.

In the Sterling case, the government argued that providing information to the New York Times was “more pernicious than the typical espionage case where a spy sells classified information for money” because by just giving information to the press, “every foreign adversary stood to benefit from the defendant’s unauthorized disclosure of classified information.”

In the Manning case, the government justified charging Manning with “aiding the enemy” — a charge that can carry the death sentence — by contending that passing information to either WikiLeaks or the Times still amounted to indirectly handing information to al Qaeda.

And it increasingly appears the government is extending that logic — whistleblowing equals espionage — in its investigative approach.

The government’s investigation of Drake began not for his role as a source for the Baltimore Sun series, but because it was searching for sources for the devastating 2005 New York Times story, broken by James Risen and Eric Lichtblau, revealing the Bush administration’s widespread use of warrantless wiretaps.

Drake was not a source for that story; he wasn’t even “read into” the program. However, the FBI appears to have identified Drake, the former NSA whistleblowers with whom he had complained to the inspector general, and Diane Roark, a former House Intelligence Committee staffer, as people who had complained internally about ThinThread and TrailBlazer, as related programs. Once they did so, the FBI interpreted actions taken to submit the IG complaint as well as information given to the Intelligence Committee — which has oversight in such matters — as proof they were leaking classified information about ThinThread and TrailBlazer.

The investigation clearly ignored the extensive whistleblowing about ThinThread — whose rejection by NSA, Drake says, laid the groundwork for the warrantless wiretapping that the Bush administration initiated after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

An affidavit justifying a December 2007 warrant for Drake’s emails makes almost no mention that Drake and his colleagues were sharing information, in large part, in an effort to report fraud, waste and abuse — waste the NSA Inspector General (and, ultimately, Congress) affirmed. Instead, it suggests Drake and the people with whom he was accused of conspiring were in search of profit. While the affidavit treats with skeptism their views that ThinThread performed better than TrailBlazer, it doesn’t appear to mention that the inspector general had investigated the issue and confirmed their views. It presents Drake’s printing of specifically unclassified documents as suspicious: “Drake was then seen rolling up [unclassified] documents … and placing the documents in the glove box of his vehicle, where they would not be visible to others,” the affidavit alleges, as part of the case for probable cause.

Fishing Expedition

Once the FBI discovered a group of people who had warned the appropriate congressional oversight committee, as well as the Pentagon, that NSA had made costly, ineffective choices, the bureau kept digging into their lives until it found something.

“My life was turned upside down.” Drake said at his National Press Club speech.“I know for a fact that everything you could find out or anything you could possibly imagine in your life — any transaction, all your e-mails, any and all subscriber information with any concern, including telecommunication concerns — was all exposed to the government. Because they were looking for what was necessary to indict me.”

When the government designates whistleblowers as espionage targets, Drake said in an interview, that designation gives them “free rein to tear your life apart.”

Drake and most of the others charged by the Obama administration under the Espionage Act still either worked directly for or were contracted to the government at the beginning of the investigation, which means the government had broad access to information on them as part of their security clearance. Then the investigation proceeded using Title III (criminal, not intelligence) warrants.

But for investigative targets who don’t hold a security clearance, the label “espionage” may serve to give the government the same kind of investigative license it has with clearance holders.

Once the attorney general deems an investigation to be a counterintelligence (that is, espionage) probe, the government gains access to a whole set of secretive investigative tools, such as National Security Letters, which require recipients, such as telecom companies, retail outlets and even libraries, to turn over records of a target’s transactions — without notifying the target. Other tools include orders, authorized under Section 215 of the USA PATRIOT Act, to turn over business records, up to and including cell phone GPS data. These tools effectively allow the government to camp out on someone’s life — read their e-mails, search their dwellings and computers, review their financial information — until the government discovers evidence of a crime.

Is Supporting WikiLeaks a Crime?

That may be what happened with WikiLeaks. On Dec. 6, 2010, Eric Holder confirmed what had been reported a week earlier in the media: among other theories, DOJ was considering prosecuting WikiLeaks under the Espionage Act. Holder announced this at the beginning of the investigation, not after finding evidence that anyone from WikiLeaks had solicited information from Bradley Manning.

In the same comments, Holder tied such theories to aggressive investigative techniques: “I personally authorized a number of things last week and that’s an indication of the seriousness with which we take this matter and the highest level of involvement at the Department of Justice.”

In a statement before his court martial on February 28, Bradley Manning insisted that no one had solicited him to send information. “The decisions that I made to send documents and information to [WikiLeaks] were my own decisions, and I take full responsibility for my actions.”

Not long after Holder made his statement, the government reportedly reached the same conclusion. Yet the government continues its investigation into known associates of WikiLeaks. It appears that without having acquired any information showing evidence that WikiLeaks solicited the information in question, the government labeled WikiLeaks a spying entity, allowing the government expansive investigative powers.

To be clear, any investigation of Julian Assange — who is not an American citizen and not in the US — could easily use such tools. But to pursue, in the same heavy-handed way, any Americans involved, the “espionage” designation provides a very valuable tool.

Jacob Appelbaum, an American who is a security researcher and volunteer for WikiLeaks, has been heavily surveilled for two and a half years in actions apparently related to the WikiLeaks investigation. He has been stopped and interrogated at borders more than four times, subjected to physical surveillance, and had his communication metadata collected by administrative subpoena. The information collected ranges from the unique identifier assigned to every Internet user, the identifying number assigned to one’s Internet provider, cell phone service provider, general local information, phone numbers of recipients of the target’s calls and texts, e-mail addresses to which communications were sent, and more. And, the FBI once hinted, a National Security Letter was likely served on his Gmail account. Appelbaum has also talked about the danger the investigation has done to those associated with him, which in his case includes democracy activists in authoritarian countries.

Guilt By Association

The other thing that comes with some of these counterintelligence investigative techniques is a very expansive standard for collection: information need only be “relevant to” an investigation to require a third party to turn over the information requested by the government. In this way, the government can also collect information on associates of a whistleblower who may have no evident ties to a leak or crime. This permits the government to collect personal information on associates of a target or whistleblower, on the theory of guilt by association.

In Drake’s case, the government, using ordinary Article III search warrants, investigated everyone who had ties with him, Drake said in our conversation, undermining their First Amendment right of assembly.

“Everybody that was associated with me, either because they used to work for me or had links to me or had ties to me by mere association — assembly, that freedom to do so under the First Amendment — were investigated, were interrogated,” Drake said. “And some of those same people lost their jobs and their livelihood because of their association with me. Mere association meant they were guilty. And they were going to be punished — punished — because of that association.”

Worse may have happened in the WikiLeaks investigation. In response to a Freedom of Information request from the Electronic Privacy Information Center for information on investigation into supporters of WikiLeaks, the government refused to turn over information, in part, because it was statutorily prohibited from doing so. Yet it wouldn’t reveal the statute in question, because “to disclose which statute or further discuss its application publicly would undermine interests protected by [the ongoing investigation into WikiLeaks], as well as by the withholding statute.”

The government went so far as to plead with the judge not to reveal the statutes under which the government was investigating WikiLeaks supporters, writing: “Defendants respectfully request that the Court not identify the Exemption 3 statute(s) at issue.”

That the government clearly doesn’t want to reveal what statutory theories it is using to investigate not just Bradley Manning, but mere supporters of WikiLeaks, strongly suggests it is relying on one of the national security statutes that would be triggered by an espionage investigation, which would come with a gag order.

Your Data in a Driftnet

The government has three other relatively new tools it could wield against whistleblowers.

As the ACLU’s senior policy counsel Mike German pointed out in an interview, the government’s compilation of massive databases of information on U.S. persons data makes it possible to find evidence of “wrongdoing” on a person as soon as they expose themselves as whistleblowers. These databases are assembled through what is known as a “driftnet” process, where the government just collects everybody’s metadata, much as the fishing industry uses mile-long driftnets to catch everything that wanders into the net.

“A big part of the problem of the driftnet collection is that the information just sits in a pool waiting for a reason to exploit it,” German told me. “So whistleblowers are at great risk because, as they used to say in the FBI, no one is ‘administratively pure.’ Once a person becomes a whistleblower, agents have deep databases they can reach into to find anything that justifies firing them.”

Additionally, in 2011, the FBI changed its Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide to make it easier to identify any government officials who might be talking to the press. Previously, the government had required attorney general approval before accessing a journalist’s communications. But with the new DIOG, the FBI held that the policy only applied to journalists’ communications accessed via a search warrant. As the DIOG makes clear, the FBI asserts the right to access a journalist’s toll records (a record of everyone a person has called or e-mailed) using National Security Letters. And since those aren’t warrants, they don’t fall under the previous policy.

While the DIOG redacts most of the details about under what circumstances FBI agents can use NSLs to get journalists’ contact information, it makes it clear it is permissible in at least some situations. “If the NSL is seeking telephone toll records of an individual who is a member of the news media or news organization … there are no additional approval requirements other than those set out in DIOG Section 18.6.6.1.3.”

In other words, even as the government has increasingly been targeting whistleblowers as spies, it has made it easier — potentially far, far easier — for law enforcement to access the contact information of journalists the government deems to be witnesses, via their communication with sources, to a “crime.”

Then, last year, the director of National Intelligence added a question to the polygraph personnel with security clearances would undergo, that asks specifically about contacts with “unauthorized recipients,” including the media. As with Drake, this raises the likelihood a national security official will be fired solely for sharing unclassified information with the press.

The effect of demonizing whistleblowers and throwing invasive investigative techniques at both the whistleblowers and journalists who report on them is to sow fear.

“This arbitrariness in enforcement serves as a serious deterrent to whistleblowing because all employees know that if you become a target they will find something, even though all other agents who engage in the same act or omission aren’t punished at all,”said the ACLU’s German.

The Obama administration has set out to brand those who share information publicly as spies, even asserting sharing of information with the public is worse than sharing it with our worst enemies. But underneath that demonization, there’s an entire apparatus of invasive investigative tools that mean any national security insider can have his or her life ripped apart, under the guise of law, as retaliation for trying to expose wrongdoing.

Now that the AP story has broken along with the three Fox Employees, this story is much more pertinent and relevant.

As I came across the news , I remember the ideas of Dan Brown's book about the bloodlines and how it's implications in today's society... AMSTERDAM — Millions of Dutch people dressed in orange flocked to celebrations around the Netherlands Tuesday in honor of a once-in-a-generation milestone for the country's ruling House of Orange-Nassau: after a 33-year reign, Queen Beatrix abdicated in favor of her eldest son, Willem-Alexander.

At 46, King Willem-Alexander is the youngest monarch in Europe and the first Dutch king in 123 years, since Willem III died in 1890. Like Beatrix before him, Willem-Alexander has assumed the throne at a time of social strains and economic malaise.

Although the Dutch monarchy is largely ceremonial, he immediately staked out a course to preserve its relevance in the 21st century.

"I want to establish ties, make connections and exemplify what unites us, the Dutch people," the freshly minted king said at a nationally televised investiture ceremony in Amsterdam's 600-year-old New Church, held before the combined houses of Dutch parliament.

"As king, I can strengthen the bond of mutual trust between the people and their government, maintain our democracy and serve the public interest."

Hopes for the new monarch are high.

For most of the 2000s, the country was locked in an intense national debate over the perceived failure of Muslim immigrants, mostly from North Africa, to integrate. In response, politicians curtailed many of the famed Dutch tolerance policies.

More recently, this trading nation of 17 million has suffered back-to-back recessions. European Union figures released Tuesday showed Dutch unemployment spiking upward toward 6.4 percent. That's below the EU average, but a 20-year high in the Netherlands.

"I am taking the job at a time when many in the kingdom feel vulnerable and uncertain," Willem-Alexander said. "Vulnerable in their work or health. Uncertain about their income or home environment."

Amsterdam resident Inge Bosman, 38, said she doubted Willem-Alexander's investiture would give the country much of an employment boost.

"Well, at least one person got a new job," she said.

Tellingly, one of Willem-Alexander's first diplomatic missions as king will be to visit the country's largest trading partner, Germany.

While many are skeptical that the new king can make a difference where politicians have failed, the celebrations provided a welcome change from the humdrum of everyday life, and the popularity of the royal house itself is not in doubt. A poll commissioned by national broadcaster NOS and published this week showed that 78 percent support the monarchy.

The royal couple has also been active in the global campaign to fight poverty.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon congratulated Willem-Alexander and praised the royal couple for supporting the promotion of clean water, sanitation and development. The new king has chaired the secretary-general's Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation.

Ban also paid tribute to Beatrix for her "outstanding public service" and "for the important and positive force the Netherlands has been throughout her reign, in promoting international law, the rule of law and peaceful settlement of disputes."

Most say that the House of Orange-Nassau, which was instrumental in the Dutch war for independence in the 16th and 17th centuries, is a cornerstone of the national identity. It represents something that is both quintessentially Dutch, and above politics.

"I think (Willem-Alexander) is just like his mum – honest, wants to do a lot for his people inside the country and also outside the country," said Ron Pols, who was attending celebrations in Amsterdam.

Willem Alexander's popularity has been steadily rising since his 2002 marriage to an Argentine commoner, Maxima Zorreguieta.

In an interview shortly before his accession, Willem-Alexander turned in a relaxed performance, saying he will not be a "protocol fetishist," but a king who puts his people at ease.

Around 25,000 supporters thronged Amsterdam's central Dam Square Tuesday, hoping to catch a glimpse of the new king or the departing 75-year-old queen, now known as Princess Beatrix.

Millions more watched on television as King Willem-Alexander, wearing a fur-trimmed ceremonial mantle, swore an oath of allegiance to the country and the constitution.

Earlier, the new king gripped his mother's hand and looked briefly into her eyes after they both signed the abdication document in the Royal Palace on Dam Square.

Beatrix appeared close to tears as she then appeared on a balcony decked out with tulips, roses and oranges, overlooking her subjects.

"I am happy and grateful to introduce to you your new king, Willem-Alexander," she told the cheering crowd, which chanted: "Bea bedankt" ("Thanks Bea.")

Moments later, the generational shift was enacted symbolically. Beatrix left the balcony as King Willem-Alexander, his wife and three daughters – the children in matching yellow dresses and headbands – waved to the crowd.

The highly popular Maxima became Queen Maxima, and their eldest of three daughters, Catharina-Amalia, became the Princess of Orange, the first in line to the throne.

At a sparsely attended anti-monarchist demonstration on the nearby Waterloo Square, protestors dressed in white instead of orange and carried signs mocking Willem-Alexander.

"Monarchy is a sexually-transmitted disease," one sign said. "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others," said another. It included a picture of a pig wearing a crown, with a line crossing it out.

Amsterdammer Jan Dikkers said he attended to show his disapproval for a hereditary head of state, and Willem-Alexander in particular, who he said Dutch people only accept because "people like his wife."

He added that Beatrix is overrated.

"People say the queen did a `good job', but she didn't really do any job," Dikkers said.

One criticism of the royal house is that it is too expensive, especially in difficult economic times. University of Ghent professor Herman Matthijs estimates that it costs (EURO)40 million ($52 million) a year to maintain_ slightly more than taxpayers' support for Britain's House of Windsor.

The difficulties facing the Dutch should be kept in perspective. Per-capita incomes remain high, the United Nations says Dutch children are the world's happiest, on average, and the country retains its triple A credit rating.

The celebrations in Amsterdam Tuesday were lively but peaceful, a stark contrast to Beatrix's investiture in 1980. Then, squatters protesting a chronic housing shortage battled police nearly to the doors of the palace.

The official festivities concluded with the new king and queen and their daughters taking an evening boat cruise around the historic Amsterdam waterfront, at one stage climbing out of their boat to join DJ Armin van Buuren and the Concert Gebouw Orchestra on stage at a concert

Five copper coins and a nearly 70-year-old map with an "X" might lead to a discovery that could rewrite Australia's history.
Australian scientist Ian McIntosh, currently Professor of Anthropology at Indiana University in the US, is planning an expedition in July that has stirred up the archaeological community.
The scientist wants to revisit the location where five coins were found in the Northern Territory in 1944 that have proven to be 1000 years old, opening up the possibility that seafarers from distant countries might have landed in Australia much earlier than what is currently believed.
Outstanding video! Bilderberg has come under fire by the UK’s fastest growing political party, the UKIP, and questions about who is doing the funding and supporting Bilderberg are being asked. America NEEDS a STRONG Independent Party to help hold all of those politicians accountable who clearly work for international interests here in America rather than for the American people, and that includes the majority of both Democrats and Republicans now serving as Congress people in Washington DC.

Hi, I post this here and only this once. It is meant to raise awareness for some who may be caught up in the "happy dream" while most folks suffer. It is an excerpt from my post made on the another thread but I am compelled to bring it to the attention of others just in case it assists one in avoiding falling into a deeper trap that may effect all their lives attached to their soul.

And then of course we have the physically present "authorities" who, unfortunately (and as happened with me for almost 40 years and almost resulted in my own physical demise) - the proclaimed "spiritual teachers" that, when asked directly..."If this is all such a wonderful "divine plan" from some "GOD OF LOVE" who supposedly is our creator, then answer this question..."

"God, if I am your creation that you love, how could it be this is such a "divine plan" that so many of us suffer and remain clueless as to what might really be going on? And why does this eventual enlightenment (some "sell" to you as "soul evolution") occur for only a handful of folks during the same 60 or 70 or 80 year time spans?"

EDIT (ADDED 2013-05-22) - Seems far more likely the handful of a generation's current "enlightened, spiritual teachers that promote this type of "ascended master" and "beyond the lower astral is all love and light" are simply fools (like I have been) that fell for the specialness aspect of being an "evolved soul from way beyond its time." It is THESE folks who are the most horrific prison guards. Sadly we have several "teachers" right here in Avalon and sadly, many folks (as I had been for almost 40 years) get sucked in by this garbage.

There is no justification for some "divinity" that manipulates mankind such that most of us suffer and suffer ridiculously. Buying into that carp and then falling for the specialness of it and then becoming a "spiritual teacher" (admitted or not... but seen by some of us by your actions) is inexcusable IMO. I hope this post is read by those it is meant for.

Hiding your light under a bushel? Pearls before swine's?
I would rather wash the feet of a good Samaritan than shake hands with the devil.

For well over two years now I have had my eyes fixed on the sky above my head. My long suffering wife can testify to the fact that if I get my teeth into something then I take the proverbial “dog with a bone” cliché to the OCD extreme. While researching the possibility of Chem-trails (HA,, not much “research” needed really) I have been able to more or less predict the flight paths of the craft in question and there likely longitude/latitude paths. One correlation took me by surprise around September last year and I just can’t shake the questions I have about “Why”.

I focused my research on “Is” this happening, and NOT the who what or why. I have hundreds of photos and video that would seem to suggest that there is indeed a sustained deployment of cloud building “Seeds” (for the want of a better description, although if the powers that be reap what they sow....) During the last two years I feel I have presented some evidence that should at least raise the eyebrow of any citizen of Earth as to what the hell is being put into our children's world. 1 min 45 secs here should (I think) sum up the quality of my work, please note the increase in the shadow length in under two minutes. This Dawn in Ireland. Please note also that I have tried for two years to photograph the sunrise for two years and have been unsuccessful so far. Allways there would be a lattice of Muck from planes criss crossing the Eastern horizon. Likewise twenty minutes or so before dusk.

MY Point: Around September 2012 I noticed the motorway surveillance cameras were “looking” across the lanes of traffic not up and down the traffic flow. This was/is not an isolated incident. When I was fairly certain that I was not imagining this I called upon witnesses while driving to verify my own eyes. After getting a couple of pats on the head with the advice... Keep taking the tablets, and Just two serious responses to my question I got out my compass and started taking notes.. Holy Trinity, it came up 333 Degrees North. and 30 degrees elevation. Was this spot was being monitored and fed to some sort of integrated communication system relating on the ground view? I have read about distant civilisations and the tenth planet and what not, even type 2 species and order of magnitude above the “Greys” The second coming of Christ and a whole wrathe of other stories about the heavens earth mankind and our destiny. Although I believe in my heart that hope springs eternal, It has to be said in most scenarios we (humans) do not do well as a mass group. Only sporadic salvation of the minority. Whatever the fate of the masses on thing I feel to be true, is that we are on verge of something truly Biblical, the planet is screaming out to heald from our actions Of course the great unknown is When, predictions come and go, or maybe some have not happened yet. Heard a bulletin type sound bite that said we had lost x number of days due to daylight saving that our perception of time is out sync with cosmic time. so maybe the mayans are yet to be proved wrong? I do love a good open debate as you can probably guess. Keeping the Tangents to a minimum is difficult for me though so please be patient a little longer as here is the point of my post: What is lighting up the horizon at midnight in this photo? Note that we have had very heavy spraying while this picture was taken there was no open sky at all for days now. still there is a light source at 333 Degrees on the compass and its getting brighter! the photo below shows what my 8MP camera picked up in night mode. then I enhanced the temperature to show the light source and finally I cooled the picture to zero temp and zero saturation. Please, Please please do not post things like “its pollution from city streets villages or what not. I have traversed the country via Google street view and satellite imagery. if you don't believe me check for yourself. between the location of this photo and the horizon is just the Slieve Bloom Mountains, heading north north west 333 Degrees from County Laois Ireland. to the coast there is nothing that I think could cause this type of glow.

Keep the hope alive and the rest just falls into place:
