Is that a picture of yoganander my friend?
Thank Gio for the offer of Friendship. I was a member on the old forum since Sept. 08. Looked in almost everyday followed links, listened to interviews, soaked it all in but did post much.
I find it a little intimidating to post when I see the long, eloquent posts made by some members. Hopefully I will be moved to chime in more often on A2.
Cheers!
Greeting's enightenme~
:thank_you2: thank you for your freindship
It makes me feel wonderful when an Avalon member finds their voice and begins to contribute and share with us all here on the forum. I have noticed that whenever one speak from the heart instead of the mind, the results are more prolific in spirit and the content usually resonates at a more profound intellectual level.
Here is a wonderful essay that expands on this;
There is a different feeling, a different vibration when someone speaks through their heart instead of their mind. Our minds can know boundless and endless amounts of information. But our minds are also judgmental and critical and impulse based. But when we speak through our heart it is like the Universe speaks through us. We transcend our small self and take from a much wider and older knowledge base.
There is an actual different feeling of when one is speaking through their mind as compared to their heart. For me I can tell because when it is from my mind I feel tension in my body. But when I am coming from somewhere different, somewhere deeper, I do not feel my body tense at all.
The same can be said of when I listen to people speak. When they force their point of view onto me or convince me of something I can feel the tension off of their body. But when someone comes to me from their heart it is as if there is no tension in the room between us. Speaking from the heart transcends the ego and the barriers that reside between us. But often times when someone speaks from their heart it brings up the barriers and resistance in others for many and various reasons.
Man needs to start to speak and live through his and her heart more than the limited, fragmented mind. Yes the mind has created much of the outside world, but it is a foreigner to the world that resides inside below the brainstem. There is much to be explored internally and developing this body awareness or body knowledge can help to unlock different ways of living and thinking.
The outer world can be looked at as the steel frame and the outside shell of a building. But what goes on inside can not be seen from the outside with the naked eye. There is so much life that pulses within a tall sky scraper and only a small percentage is reflected into the outside world. The same can be said of us as individuals. Others can only see a small perception of who we are. We are limited by the confines of the material and visible world. We are limited by the confines that the ego places upon the mind. Yet each of us is a complex and highly complicated and delicate piece of machinery, piece of art work. We focus so much on the outer shell of our being that we have not a clue how to utilize all of our untapped potential the way the Universe intended for us.
Often times the thoughts and actions that come out of the mind are shallow, greedy, selfish and impulsive. While the thoughts and actions that come out of the heart are more giving, sharing and give off a sense of community. Speaking through the heart is in the sense thinking of others as much as ourselves. It is about considering and getting glimpses of the bigger picture.
Years ago a teacher told me that I needed to start to live in my body more. I had no idea, no clue what he was talking about. It has been only through my own training, my own experience that these words have gone from being seeds to blossoming deeper within. I understand this now more than I used to. There is much to learn as the learning never ends.
Developing self awareness is difficult indeed. It often times goes against the grain of what we are taught growing up. But the truth of our reality is something that goes beyond the grasp of the knowledge of the mind and encompasses so much more. Living in the body by developing the breath is what it is about-these are the keys to the engine of the higher mind. But these are only words and words are not successful in describing what each one of us can experience eventually. Words are only a best guess at that time. We are all here to unravel the mystery that is us, that is life. This life that is all around us and inside of us begs to be looked at and lived from a different angle, a different perspective.
“To the world you may be just one person, but to one person you may be the world.”

Thank You! for the kind offer. :yes4:

Thank you Giovonni this is a wonderful opportunity to meet and greet. I spend so much of my day to day in deflection of the negative. This is exhaustive, to have others to pull from and replenish through positive interaction is truly invaluable.

Wishing all here a beautiful journey, full of love, great imagination, and everlasting friendship!
Greeting's Avalonians,
During this life, I have been bless with the gift of being able to make friends easily. That said, I have come to realize with that blessing comes much work and responsibilities in nurturing and maintaining these bonds. I like to share a short story (tale) associated to the great Greek master of wisdom~Socrates
A True Friend
In ancient Greece, Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem. One day one fellow met the great philosopher and said, "Do you know what I just heard about your friend?" ~ "Hold on a minute," Socrates replied. "Before telling me anything I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test." ~ "Triple filter?" ~ "That's right," Socrates continued. "Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you're going to say. That's why I call it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?" ~ "No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it and..." ~ "All right," said Socrates. "So you don't know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?" ~ "No, on the contrary..." ~ "So," Socrates continued, "you want to tell me something bad about him, but you're not certain it's true. You may still pass the test though, because there's one filter left: the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?" "No, not really." ~ "Well," concluded Socrates, "if what you want to tell me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?"
My true rule and lesson~ when it comes to friends!
We can always participate in loose talks to curb our boredom. But when it comes to you friends its not worth it. Always avoid talking behind the back about your near and dear friends.
tHANK YOU GIOVONNI!!! FOR BEING A GREAT FRIEND!!!
Have a wonderful day or at least a groovy one :) Some very good advice on friendship here! So simple and yet so powerful!
See you around...your friend JT!

RAINBOWS
If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you.
And share with you it's beauty
On the days you're feeling blue.
If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own.
A place to find serenity
A place to be alone.
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea.
But all these things I'm finding
are impossible for me,
I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair
But let me be...what I know best,
a friend that's always there.

Always remember my friends;
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future,
concentrate the mind on the present moment~
for what we think, we become.
