Comet ISON Earth Interactions
all of us know there is no possible way this comet can affect us here on earth, but then again...
strange things are happening in weather and quakes, one just shook off Florida's coast...
I don't remember ever seeing one in that area,
Tornadoes in New York
thinking of our Galaxy on an energy grid a ripple travels outward from a disruption, maybe the comet didn't cause it other than by starting a warble on Mars we are feeling affects from...
Let's keep an eye on things here if everyone would please share what you find...
Re: Comet ISON Earth Interactions
Good point Rocky. I'm under the understanding that most of the weather changes are due to climate change. I saw an article the other day that stated that there was an outragous number of jellyfish swarming all over. Not sure if that is related to things at hand. There are a lot of strange things happening these days. It would be nice to make some sense of it all.

Re: Comet ISON Earth Interactions
animals go first , then humans, just as miners would take a bird into the cave , if the bird survives it's okay, if it dies then time to leave the cave ...something is messing with the magnetic sense of animals , some are where they should not be for this time of year ... take a compass outside away from metal , and hold it at arms length and see what has happened to magnetic north ... something is affecting our magnetic field bigtime , I thing it's influencing the jet stream and our weather and the whole ecology ... did anyone see that huge star next to the moon last night ??? just to the left , if your facing south it would be about the 2 oclock position ... low in the sky for a star and bigger than every other star ...it always follows sunset , always in the west south west from Tulsa ok , USA ...

The planet visible next to the moon at the moment is Venus. It's going to happen again tonight.
Venus and the Moon are so bright, they pop out of the twilight long before the sunset sky fades to black.
If you do go out to look tonight, be alert for Earthshine--a ghostly glow illuminating the crescent's dark terrain. Earthshine is sunlight reflected from our own planet onto the Moon.
Re: Comet ISON Earth Interactions
After the effect Comet Ison had on Mars, seemingly making it glow, who knows Rocky.
Ison will become more visible by telescope towards the middle of the month and should be easy to spot. It rises alongside Mars in the eastern sky just before dawn. Special dates of interest include Oct. 13-15 when Mars, Comet ISON, and the first magnitude star Regulus will be clustered in a patch of sky less than 3o apart. Red Mars and blue Regulus will form a beautiful naked eye "double star" in the early morning sky.
Enjoy the show :)
Re: Comet ISON Earth Interactions
Buares reports that Ison may be breaking up, an other link was posted I can't find it now it was on the Before it's news WP chinese pictures of Ison with 2 other items in the shot good pictures IMHO

Hey Rocky, how did you hear of earthquake off Florida coast? Not listed, or couldn't find it on the only 2 websites (now that USGS is down) I'm aware of which are: http://quakes.globalincidentmap.com/ and http://www.emsc-csem.org/#2
Did show a few small ones much further down in the Caribbean (not unusual in that area)
By the way, the first website listed above claim they got the info from the USGS feed. So if they can get it, why can't we? If automatic feed
is working and one pays for a website annually - why is it down? Just asking, I'm not knowledgeable in that area.
Re: Comet ISON Earth Interactions
Hi Ba-ba-ra the usgs has this on their site, not sure if you can get that in the states.
"Due to a lapse in Federal funding, the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program has suspended most of its operations. While the USGS will continue to monitor and report on earthquake activity, the accuracy or timeliness of some earthquake information products, as well as the availability or functionality of some web pages, could be affected by our reduced level of operation."

I stopped using usgs when they wouldn't allow us to share the view in a forum this one http://www.emsc-csem.org/#3w is my favorite quake map, RSOE for everything else
just tried it still doesn't let us show their image...
