LOS ANGELES — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.2 rocked Southern California, rousing residents out of bed at about 1:05 a.m. PT on Friday.
The quake was centered about 13 miles north-northwest near Borrego Springs in the desert east of Los Angeles, the U.S. Geological Service reported. It was initially rated at 5.1, but was upgraded to 5.2 within an hour afterward.
On the west side of Los Angeles, about 100 miles from the epicenter, the quake produced a long shaking motion lasting about 30 seconds. There was no hard jolt.
In USA TODAY's news bureau on the ninth floor of an office tower near Los Angeles International Airport, window blinds shook and the building structure rolled in steady waves.
The quake was also felt in San Diego.

Seismologist Lucy Jones tweeted that quake struck on the San Jacinto fault, one of the most active in the region. She says the same fault produced a magnitude-6 earthquake in 1937 and a 5.3 quake in 1980.
At 1:04 in the video it shows the unusual straight line and right angle pattern to the quakes.

Here are 10 ways that space weapons, satellites, can be used to conduct warfare. Or methods of transferring huge amounts of catastrophic energy into tiny spaces on top of and underneath the mantle of the globe.
The following is listed at:
http://www.space.com/19-top-10-space-weapons.html
Missile
The ability to destroy man-made satellites in orbit around Earth has already been demonstrated by China, who used an anti-satellite (ASAT) device against one of their own weather satellites. The US likewise shot down a crippled spy satellite in 2008 with a sea-based missile. India has said they wish to develop similar capabilities. The problem: Huge swarms of space debris generated by blowing up objects remain in orbit, and threaten manned spacecraft.

Darpa
Does a device that uses electromagnets to shoot a stream of molten metal at incredible speed toward enemy targets sound far-fetched? The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is already working on one, with the appropriately aggressive-sounding name of "MAHEM" (Magneto Hydrodynamic Explosive Munition). Pictured is Earthlight, an Arthur C. Clarke novel that presaged exactly this device.

THEL
Directed-energy weapons utilize lasers, high-powered microwaves, and particle beams. Projects in development by the US have names like Airborne Laser, the Active Denial System, and the Tactical High Energy Laser (THEL). However, before these weapons can "stun" or "kill" like a Star Trek phaser, engineers need to do much work to weaponize the various forms of energy under consideration.

Cosmic Satellites
Home-grown microsatellite and nanosatellite technologies are being proliferated by a number of nations, hinting at some military uses. In one U.S, Department of Defense report, military officials took at face value a Hong Kong newspaper account in January 2001 that claimed China had developed and tested an ASAT system using a "parasitic microsatellite." Apparently this device could have been a small satellite designed to attach itself to other satellites to destroy or damage them. This sexy but unsubstantiated assertion quietly vanished from further DoD reports.

Soviet Union’s Almaz Space Station
Weapons in space need not be so exotic. Take the former Soviet Union's Almaz Space Station of the 1960s and '70s. The military space station reportedly carried a cannon to destroy satellites or incoming spacecraft. It was even reportedly tested (while no one was aboard the spacecraft) to demonstrate its feasibility. Other space-based conventional weapons could include more exotic packages of destruction, such as radio-frequency or high-power-microwave munitions.

MOL
In the USAF's Manned Orbital Laboratory (MOL) program of 1965, two astronauts would launch atop a Titan 3 rocket in a spacecraft similar to NASA's Gemini capsules, then conduct reconnaissance missions from orbit using ultra high-resolution telescopes. The project was scuttled in 1969, and unmanned spy satellites proved a better option later.

X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV)
Credit: NASA/Boeing
Scheduled for a test flight on April 20, 2010, the reusable robotic X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV) is a small space shuttle-like craft developed by the US Air Force. If such a reusable space plane becomes feasible, it will offer unheard-of capabilities for launch on-demand, surprise, and flexibility. If those benefits aren't enough, the space plane may be outfitted with a weapon to drop tungsten rods on Earth targets from outer space, the so-called "Rods from God."

High-altitude Weapons
High-altitude weapons using electromagnetic energy may destroy and disrupt electronic and electrical devices, causing a burst of electromagnetic radiation (electromagnetic pulse, or EMP) to produce current and voltage surges. These bursts are commonly associated with nuclear explosions, but scientists have produced non-nuclear EMP's. The construction of small "e-bombs" poses a significant terrorist threat against airplanes.

Manipulating an orbiting asteroid
Could an orbiting asteroid be manipulated to smash down on an enemy target on Earth? It's possible, but doesn't seem like an efficient way of doing battle, according to a RAND think-tank report. More effort would be required to achieve such a result than was employed to develop the first A-bomb during the Manhattan Project in WWII, says RAND.

Google: satellite weaponry, anti-satellite weaponry
Be a little imaginative with your searches: Where are . . .? Who owns . . . ? Which ones . . . ? etc
This is overwhelming evidence of the cause of that grid pattern portrayed in DABOO7s video.
I would suggest the grid pattern are "strikes" by satellite bursts, scoping the area for weak geological points in the mountain mantle. The grid suggests one point above all others produced a valuable target for further exploitation at a later date. I also believe this pattern will be re-produced at other locations through this mountain range so eventually all the weak points could be targeted as one satellite mega strike.
The magnitude of which might potentially separate California from the mantle of the USA. Even put California of some sort of peninsula in some way.
Satellite technology proponents claimed in the 1970s (1960s?) they could read the newspaper being read by a man in the street or see the brand of the cigarette pack discarded by someone under investigation.
Weather events world wide are behaving abnormally, forests are being targeted, volcanoes rekindled, crops spoiled and of course Dr Woods excellent discourse on the use of satellite weapons during the 9/11 event.
DABOO7 also makes a point to query the depth of the quakes which is abnormal. These are evidences for the use of satellite weapons, creating the conditions for earthquakes and liquefaction.
This explanation is far more credible than that of software graphics iconography. - though it did raise a wry smile, thanks :-)
We clearly disagree.
Your preposition is to advise people to take your word for it and ignore all else.
My preposition is to advise check out both and see which one you believe:-)
You infer my explanation is that of a lazy sceptic and those that subscribe to the interest I raise as being lazy, when in fact they have to work rather hard to uncover some of the truths which my links allude.
Yet, your explanation requires nothing more than to refer to a "managed software platform" to infuse a false paradigm, perpetrating succour to those that may feel fearful.
The USA is under attack is the emphasis of my post. That is significantly more truthful than the alternative you propose and should be the topic of this discussion here on this thread.
I did that exercise for the El Hierro case where there were far more EQs and the resolution was even finer... check it and see for yourself is all I suggested.
Well, no — Rocky started the thread to ask if anyone else felt it. :)
Do by all means open another thread on the subject of earthquake wars, or whatever you'd like to call it. I'd be pretty sure that human-induced (or -assisted) earthquakes happen. (And if they don't, there's surely someone in the Pentagon who wants a budget for it. :) )
:focus:
Stay at the ready, that area is overdue for a big quake , just north of you a massive sea quake is predicted, a 9.0 lasting five minutes creating a ring shaped tsunami ...
This guy Dutchsinse predicted the east of San Diego quake(s) in his most recent video. I haven't been watching him that long, but his model for prediction seems to be getting results.
I felt it, but I was dozing on and off at about that time, so I thought it was a dream. :o
A 3.5 quake just hit by Mexicali where the 7.2 Easter quake hit 5 or 10 years ago.
As for the earthquake weapon, Russia had a politician go off about making the world shake just last year.
A 3.6 just hit north east of here, been years since this many hit so close together...
While looking to see if dutchsinse has any more videos out I ran across one he did with Kerry
Our quakes started right after what they shared in this video...
https://youtube.com/watch?v=_Bqmlj6__UA
Edited to add they are talking pre 2012 in this video though it was published 2 weeks ago...
As Kerry says there are no coincidences...
Talking of Nuke plants all being built on fault lines, which would instantly change the atmosphere of our planet. ET plot for when they are prepared to take it to eliminate humans...
https://youtube.com/watch?v=XHUqw-F3ZrM
Swarm of quakes in northern California has Dutchsinse worried...
He said to expect quakes off Oregon's coast...
5.0 Northern California...

Here are the official reports - " It " didn't happen today, was reported as of 8-9-2016 as detailed below (for accuracy).
There is nothing out of the ordinary for California - it appears according to the reports out of USGS and CalTech its all normal stuff. http://scedc.caltech.edu/recent/Maps/123-39.html -
From the website: "Maps are updated within about 5 minutes of an earthquake or once an hour."
There was no today quake of 5.1 - (thread title misnomer) Nothing out of the ordinary, one 5.1 in the last 168 hiours. Nor the day before. The biggest were 3's and most are lower (see the recent quake list). Nada, zip..
