Re: Spoonbending (how to!)
Spoon bending is fun.
Some years ago a class related to psychic phenomena was offered (maybe only once) at Piedmont Community College. I would guess about 30 people were in the class, including an old lady with arthritis, a house painter, two M.D.'s.
The leader guided us through getting quiet, closing our eyes, talking to the spoon, rubbing the spoon. When we felt the spoon get warm we told the spoon to bend, without using force, using only the slightest of pressure.
After a few moments the room filled with laughter. I had to look. It was the old lady with arthritic fingers. She held up her bent spoon and said "I can't do this. I have arthritis!". Moments later, almost everyone else bent their spoon with two exceptions.
You can guess the identity of the only two participants who could not bend their spoons. The two M.D.'s because they knew they could not. I am thinking about the power of programming.
The most impressive bending was done by the painter. The entire fork looked like a corkscrew wrapped around a large nail.
Prior to this class I talked about the future experiment with co-workers. One lady did not want me to succeed. She brought me a stainless steel industrial strength  spoon to use. I accepted it and bent it.
At the end of the series of classes, we were asked to comment on the course. One lady said the spoon bending experiment was useless, a waste of time. My thoughts were exactly opposite. The spoon bending experiment provided evidence of the power of our thoughts.
Recent attemps to bend a spoon were not successful. I need to do the exercise again.

Now this is unusual, so I’m adding it here.

What leaves me deeply uneasy about the “Charleston Harbor” comment is that for the past few weeks my own psychic senses have been picking up some kind of trouble signal [there]…..<snip> I’m also concerned about Charlotte, North Carolina.
I went out to lunch with a friend. Halfway through the meal, my thoughts strayed back again toward Charlotte, N.C. And a tine on my very solid fork suddenly went sproing….!
Here’s the fork. It’s a very solid piece of heavy stainless. The bend was perfectly horizontal, no twisting. And yes, I’m certain the fork was perfect when I started eating.

I haven’t had metal spontaneously bend in a number of years, and I have no idea what it means other than that there is a very powerful charge somehow connected to the concept of “Charlotte/Southeast USA”.
Just FYI.
The secret of metal bending (psychokinesis) is – as you’ve pointed out, Bill – the ‘ease’ with which it is done, which is the psychological opposite of what most people imagine is required. There is no forcing involved, no pushing, no domination. It is a matter of rapport, of entering into the resonant field/nature/atomic structure (I don’t know how to describe this, exactly, but you’ll know it when you hit it…) of the item in question. “Just playing around”, as you did, is a good way to learn more.
It is important to understand as well that this energy rapport ability can be a powerful tool in healing and pain relief for others as well as for yourself.
And that energy extended in hatred or anger can be genuinely harmful, not only toward the other but within yourself for the corrosive effect it necessarily will have on you as its agent. You cannot extend hurt without yourself becoming hurt in equal or greater measure. Always remember that. Or, if not, the energy itself will necessarily teach you.
Kindness is all. Your thoughts and feelings do make a difference to what happens around you. Metal bending is dramatic and will provide you with some nice proof of your own power. But, of course, with power comes responsibility. End of lecture. Have some fun!
Cheers,
Selene

I've tried, and always thought I should be able to, but have never had success. Won't stop me from trying further though!

Yes. Sending negative energy to another is similar to taking poison while you wait for the other person to die.
"The only answer is love." says a still small voice.

I just tried it, and damn! It didn't work!
I will report when it does!
Thanks, Bill!
Re: Spoonbending (how to!)
Bill turned into a spoon-bending vandal, just because he could!!!
Seriously, Selene is so right, one can relax and do a 'mind meld' gently whilst honouring energy forces whilst you heal, whether it is direct touch, or absent healing (I visualise and my pet name for this is 'pozzi vibes').
I feel an electronic/magnetic charge when visualising, things I touch get hot, including my cat who loves this - and likes to be near me when he's feeling a bit off as he's old and arthritic. I practice Reiki, reflexology and other calming ministrations. Can never guarantee, but with a good heart it seems to work. Strangely, applying it to myself doesn't work as it seems selfish!
Anyone else feel the same? We all have this aptitude, so use it.... 👍
Re: Spoonbending (how to!)
I will certainly be giving this a try soon. As I sat thinking about it, I could feel myself getting on the right wavelength.
@ Ron: I am sure it helps to be in a group of people who believe it can happen. Strange things can happen when a group of people get together who believe they can happen.
Re: Spoonbending (how to!)
Perhaps I’ve got a ‘no-bendy-the-spoon' implant? It bowed only slightly. (That’s if I did it correctly.)
My honest feelings? The dialogue going on in my head right now is that I'm discounting everything I’ve accomplished in my life. I hear the words like ‘unworthy’ and ’fraud’ rattling around up there.

Now, if someone else wrote this post, I’d say:
- "It’s only the 'fear of failure' meme kickin’ in.”
- “You’re being too hard on yourself.”
- “Stop comparing yourself to others.”
- “You’ve got your own areas of [fill in the blank].”
- “Go have some Ben and Jerry’s. And try it later. Or not.”

(my emphasis)
A rock-hard carton of ice cream is the best way I know to bend a spoon!
OK... :focus: (I am referring to myself)

Probably heard inside some heads near one:
"Avalon's unbending spoons are swelling the ranks of sovereign spoons dedicated to bending only through mutual agreement!"
PS:  saw Cider's post only after posting...
Re: Spoonbending (how to!)
Sizzling fingers - Atom the cat is at least quiet - after every little problem with him, we have gone to bobies, to a cat-buffet in our large bedroom, and the ghastly (twice nightly) poo tray....😜
Re: Spoonbending (how to!)
Before I start, a question:
how do you straighten it after you bend it? (or am I going to have to buy a whole new set of spoons? :o
Re: Spoonbending (how to!)
You'd think after years of talkin' to the wall, I could'a gotten it to answer.... at least once.
Perhaps one of us haven't been bending enough.... ;)

....You then apply the slightest pressure, and it kind of melts, like soft wax.....
Do you mean imagined pressure with your mind or your actual finger?
It occurred to me to try it with a bobby pin first since as someone pointed out, it might be hard to return a household spoon to original position...
Thanks!

To Bill and all those spoon benders...As soon as you have collected your payout...then your claims might have a bit more credibility...:)

Re: Spoonbending (how to!)
My experience was that when the spoon got significantly warm where it was being rubbed, only a slight pressure was needed to make it bend. Using only two fingers of each hand was all that was needed.
Later, I tried to bend it back. Used force, and it broke.
I plan to go to the local thrift shop to purchase 2nd hand spoons and forks for practice. I definitely will not use what I already have. And I want to do it again.

Well, I doubt that Bill sat in the restaurant subjecting his spoons to surreptitious metal fatigue before they bent.
