    I would have said the same here in Catalonia. I have always been amazed by their pacific stance. Millions have protested every year. Not one problem, not one smashed window in Mcdonalds or Starbucks....

    The 2017 election results would be a good indicator. It is a slim majority but normally turnout is around 40%. A true referendum would draw a much larger crowd. Many more people on the fence...
