My mum was good at sewing. I remember as a child being fascinated by her foot pedal operated Singer machine. It looked beautiful, made of iron. Then she got rid of it and bought an electric affair...
  2. Re: [Hoaxed 'confession'] Stanley Kubrick Confesses to faking Moon Landings

Make of this what you will as it's purely anecdotal. In 1987 my landlady at the time was Kubrick's gardener and spent a lot of time with him in his South London home. She told me that he frequently...

In Spain, Saharan sand is blown in by the Sirocco wind and it is always orange/red - covers everything houses cars etc. This does not look like Saharan sand.

Hi Norman - I haven't noticed any latency issues when running ableton live or in any game. IIRC there is an extension for wine (something like "winevst") which improves vst latency but I have not...

The piano and arrangement are excellent. I was singing along as it played the beautiful melody. Marvellous!

Re: What music are you listening to now?

I used to love the American band Lambchop - so I thought I'd catch up with what Kurt is up to these days - I was not disappointed with this stunning anti-police brutality video/song masterpiece:

  15. Re: For all the true music connoisseurs. A fantastic interview with the legendary session drummer Bernard Purdie.

I love the story of when Bernard Purdie was hired for a session he'd assemble his drum kit and hang a big sign behind it which read "Bernard Purdie - Hit Maker"

    Re: My music

Hi Matthew, I gave Heros Theme a listen - it reminds me of the legendary 80s band Art of Noise (e.g. Moments In Love) - if you redo it post it here! Good stuff.

Hi and thanks - I've seen that Korg DS10 package for Nintendo - looks interesting. My approach to ambient music is less is more and get a good reverb effect software or hardware.
