Default Enlightenment Imperative; Yearly Celebration of Ashura

There are cultures which the Western World has really not learned much about in my opinion. I have only learned of these things in the last 2 years: Ashura is a yearly celebration, October 2, in 2017, in which millions of males from baby to elderly, slice themselves in public to honor one of their religious ancestors. Although I have always supported the knowing of one's history and historical figures, and religious figures, the literal taking part in harming oneself is an aspect which I do not deem healthy. Yet, millions celebrate this festival. Each country has its own set of laws. In most countries this celebration would be considered child abuse, criminally insane etc. How close to our cities and states can we co-exist with this degree of "celebration"?

What is the impetus for this exposure of such an esoteric practice of Shia Islam, which by even the article you posted is strongly discouraged if not outright prohibit in places and governments?

And do you understand why they feel the need to do it?

I just really cant understand your agenda for this post.

Imagine I point to a sect of mormons in mexico that still practice polygamy and actually ended in mexico because they didnt want the federal government telling them what they can and cant do, and say that that all christians are polygamists.

You have a purpose for sure.

Understanding the world around us and it's cultures is the true nature of this forum and most specifically this thread of "Music and Culture". Also, it is not an esoteric practice. It is a practice which is widespread and practiced currently last week by millions of human beings in our world. As far as Mormon polygamy, it is a difficult thing to even come upon one family practicing that. So, statistically, you are uninformed. Do further research of the topic of Ashura for further enlightenment. Knowing sets us free to discern such practices from a further, more objective standpoint, thus helping us to use forethought in our actions. There are those who are born into this practice and by sheer proximity have adopted Sadism. Sadism is an addiction.

Thank you Praxis. I did find an article which gives two reasons for the celebration: The article states that in 680 AD Muhammad was killed in battle, and that the enemy mutilated Muhammad's grandson. The article also states that a second possible reason for the celebration is that the 680 AD slaying marked the separation of Islam into two sects....Shiite, and Sunni. Here is the title to that article, but it is a bit gory FYI:

Ashura Day: Why Shia Muslims mutilate themselves & their children (WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES)

But, yes, if you stumble upon a current SRA (Satanic Ritual Abuse) sect which does typically involve bigomy and pedophilia, and animal sacrifices, there is a thread for that. I have posted to it myself, and encourage you to do so also if you have been a personal victim of it. Staying informed is good. I am also surprised when a new case pops up.

    I can.

There are problems in Islam, and all major religions, to be sure. The grooming gangs in Scotland are a big big problem. But most radical Islam is sponsored, created and quietly promoted by western covert interests. So when you see a dude covered in blood, waving a hook in the air and chanting Death To America.... there's a damn good chance that a rich white man is pulling the strings.

Ashura is a little different than that. It is a celebration which has been celebrated in this way since 680 AD. The Ashura celebration has no Western influence nor sponsoring. Truly, that fact is the most interesting cultural aspect in my opinion. That Islamic celbrations tend to be more primal as this is seen as getting to the deeper devotion and love of those being honored in Ashura. Culturally, it is a different concept which I can't think of any current day parallels.

The myth that the West and that rich white men sponsor cruelty in someone else's religion is old and overused, best to be cast aside as untruth spawned by defensiveness and Ad Hominem.

A true worry is that this level of celebrating begin occurring in the Western World and that teachers encounter children with injuries to their face and heads, then that those children act out on other children due to the abuse. Since we haven't heard of these celebrations and what they entail, we may not be prepared for these occurrences.

October is Child Health Month, and October 2, 2017 is Child Health Day. Extra hugs, bedtime stories, and vegetables, and checking to see if vaccinations are up-to-date. Perhaps a visit to the dentist for a check-up, and extra jumps on the jumprope. Happy parenting!

On all things important to life, harmony, and safety, people need to occasionally revisit and revamp their reasons for having certain boundaries for themselves, also not negating concrete reasons for societal bounds since our actions affect others' safety and quality of life, and freedoms. I always loved listening to Michael Savage as I believe strongly in one of his mottos: "Borders, Language, Culture". One of the writers of the Constitution of the United States said approximately, "We gave you a Republic, if you can keep it."

As my family and so many families gathered together to celebrate Thanksgiving, it is also a time when we should all pray for the release of children in bondage to child abuse. Child abuse, especially of a ritualistic and sadistic nature brings forth a nature of trespass and psychopathy. Dr. Nicolai Sennel has seen this in his working with hundreds of adolescent males who had entered the criminal justice system.http://www.newenglishreview.org/cust...2/sec_id/63122

In a lifelong quest to avail myself through life, reading, and documentaries, of the schooling, culture, and beliefs which bring about healthy and balanced human beings to be functioning members of a citizenry, one also finds the flip-side when watching documentaries of interviews of the most heinous prison inmates. When compiling American inmate interview stories of their childhood road to psychopathy, there are always commonalities: An immersion in pedophilic grooming coupled with violence, and a growing objectification and loathing of females. It is recipe for disaster which society should not embrace as the recipe entertains trespass, and usually progresses as addiction.

Cultural norm differences which are important to know as we take a look at immigration laws: Thighing, yet another form of child abuse practiced routinely by some cultures/religions.

Sweden attempts to educate immigrants by publishing a sex education handbook, but this only addressed one part of the problem: the educational aspect of how sexual practices differ among various cultures. Yet to be addressed adequately remains the prosecution aspect.

In 2018, Ashura will take place beginning at sunset on September 19. The festival of Ashura lasts 10 days and is marked by fasting and mourning. "Mourning" in the Ashura celebraters' culture includes long, public, bloody slashing of ones body, and the foreheads of ones male and female young, until they are old enough to perform the slashing themselves once they are schoolage.

Let your congressman know what you think about these cultural norms and practices entering your city.

Another variety of street vendor. It may be still more covertly done here in the United States, but this culture is expanding, and as they demographically become more concentrated, they are becoming more overt and emboldened. If this afore-mentioned culture is allowed to progress in my nation you will then be condoning these vendors. And then can ask oneself openly: "The bargain one today, or the pricey doll." I vote for zero tolerance of this culture.

September 21, 2018 is this years Ashura celebration date for the countries all around the world. Were any of these travel Visas approved? Did any of them make their way up through the Mexico Border illegally? Is sovereignty important? There are a lot of questions one needs to ask themselves before they relinquish their culture into the throws of another.

Very creepy ways in which another culture incorporates blood sacrifices in ways which help groom their children to be conditioned towards bloodshed. In this article we read how the police departments are becoming far too immune and complicit with increasing practices which threaten the well-being, safety, and psychology of our communities. Not everything should be allowed to hide under the veil of "religion", or else we are doomed as even rape, and child molestation are normal and sanctioned parts of some "religions" and cultures.

Animal sacrifices and blood-letting, rape, and pedophilia is what some cultures in our neighborhoods are teaching their children, while we are singing Barney songs about Please and Thank You. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...8C39&FORM=VIRE Here is a recent February 2017 interview by InfoWars regarding this subject. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...B&&FORM=VDRVRV Important aspects of the cultural psychological make-up which is problematic. Don't miss this sweeties.

Who do their children become in the classroom, in the schoolyard, in the park.....who are we placing our children's lives in contact with whom we never have before? Children are not for others to experiment upon. I don't want to live next door to people who perform cultural pedophilia, animal sacrifice in the backyard, blood-letting of themselves and their children during Ashura. AND I SURELY don't want my CHILDREN to be taking up their ways, nor subjected to these people's children. What kind of culture are you leaving to your children, grandchildren? Or are they to be left with the look of horror upon their faces, and shock which makes them wet themselves with no recourse as the police department adults hide in their squadcar?

    http://www.investigativeproject.org/pics/large/1253.jpg

    http://www.all-creatures.org/hr/hras...ceinchurch.htm
The above article exposes how errant pagan practices are being rallied into being incorporated into Christian churches, mostly within foreign countries where perhaps the original missionaries are not present enough to truly make known what the Bible teaches, who God is, and that the Lord died once for all times so that all who put faith in him will not perish, but have everlasting life with God, in a place He has prepared ahead of time. This is the most important message, the redeeming message, the Good News itself. To do sacrifices of animals is in direct opposition, and thus is no longer Christian at all. Inundation, dilution, lies, lack of availability of Bibles, lack of freeness to speak about God, lack of properly trained Christian pastors and leadership are endangering the peaceful, lawful, and culture of brotherly love which being a Christian makes possible. Borders, language, culture. Those who tare away at Christianity are those who also tare away at the Constitution and Bill of Rights so as to bring the documents and framers of the Constitution which we hold dear, into besmirchment before the eyes, hearts, and minds of our young.
