My (Paul) Comment on the last drop above "53-47". That's almost certainly a close US Senate vote, and since the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court is the big issue of the week, that's almost certainly a prediction, based on a current head count, of how the US Senate will vote on Kavanaugh, currently expected late this week. However I don't know whether that means that Q is expecting a 53-47 vote to confirm, or to deny, Kavanaugh. (However, post scriptum, Q has already "Welcomed" Kavanaugh in a previous drop, so presumably this "53-47" is Q's prediction of the Senate vote that will confirm Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court.)

(I also think the Repubs could have put forth a better candidate than Kavanaugh, as his record and he as a person has not impressed me that much, regardless of the smears on his character.)

The Libertarian in me is shuddering a bit at this video (and Kavanaugh’s comments on spying on American citizens and 4th Amendment violations, frankly).

I never wanted the US to be the police of the world – and neither did the founders.

On Kavanaugh, I can compromise. I can’t realistically expect every single SCOTUS nominee to conform directly to each and every ideal I hold, and he seems like a good enough man. I would hope that Libertarian ideas they would be represented somewhere, of course, considering those Libertarian ideals are really just part of this country’s founding doctrines and documents…

But the Reagan speeches in the video just… they smack of globalism a bit too much for me to even pretend to be comfortable with them.

Now, I understand #TheCabal is global, which means our enemies are global, which means then that our response has to be global.

But billions of our tax dollars are still shunted to foreign nation-states who spit in our faces and return the favor with subversion. This is a scary line to tread, and we the people have very little recourse in all of it.

We usually just get ground up in the process, with our blood lubricating the gears of the state.

Now, some people are gonna get down on me for not going “Rah-rah! USA numbah wahn!” with the video, but these people haven’t followed me since the beginning (so they wouldn’t recognize my consistency in this), and are generally mired in basic-b*tch Conservatism; ie, the kind of materialistic politics that have spent the past 60+ years racking up loss after loss after loss, while effectively compromising on every important battle, and leaving a mess for the likes of my generation to mop up.

So what did all this get us? A Supreme Court Associate Justice who had a hand in writing the most draconian law in our nation’s history and not a word was spoken on it at his hearing for a life-time appointment.

I’m talking about the Patriot Act, which was passed into law soon after the 9-11 tragedy. I would have liked to hear his thoughts now on the implementation of this law and its conflict with many of the rights we used to enjoy from the Bill of Rights.

But alas no words on that, because he threw ice in someone’s face in a bar while in college. Fantastic. Glad it was dumbed down for us, so we didn’t have to expend anymore brainpower on it other than who we believed.

Thanks to a recommendation by Dan Bongino in his latest podcast, October 3, 2018: Ep. 820 The Panic on the Left is Palpable, I went looking to see what John Solomon has said recently about the Uranium One deal that remains lurking below the view of most people.

John Solomon writes for The Hill, and has been writing about Uranium One for at least the last year. He has his "finger on the pulse" inside Washington, DC and better contacts than most of us. For example on 19 Sep 2018, Solomon posted this 45 minute exclusive interview with President Trump: EXCLUSIVE: Trump says exposing ‘corrupt’ FBI probe could be ‘crowning achievement’ of presidency

Just two days ago from now, John Solomon posted this article, updating us on the Uranium One scandal: FBI’s 37 secret pages of memos about Russia, Clintons and Uranium One.

Bongino's speculation, which sounds plausible to me, is that one of the reasons that the DOJ/FBI/CIA are dragging their feet on releasing FISA related documents relating to their major abuse of power to spy on the campaign of, and then resist the presidency of, a political opponent is to avoid having incriminating evidence of more serious crimes, such as Uranium One, come to light.

Here's the beefiest part of John Solomon's latest article on Uranium One:

I was the reporter who first disclosed last fall that a globetrotting American businessman, William Douglas Campbell, managed to burrow his way inside Russian President Vladimir Putin’s nuclear giant, Rosatom, in 2009 posing as a consultant while working as an FBI informant.

Campbell gathered extensive evidence for his FBI counterintelligence handlers by early 2010 that Rosatom’s main executive in the United States, Vadim Mikerin, orchestrated a racketeering plot involving kickbacks, bribes and extortion that corrupted the main uranium trucking company in the United States. That is a serious national security compromise by any measure.

The evidence was compiled as Secretary Clinton courted Russia for better relations, as her husband former President Clinton collected a $500,000 speech payday in Moscow, and as the Obama administration approved the sale of a U.S. mining company, Uranium One, to Rosatom.

The sale — made famous years later by author Peter Schweizer and an epic New York Times exposé in 2015 — turned over a large swath of America’s untapped uranium deposits to Russia.

Mikerin was charged and convicted, along with some American officials, but not until many years later. Ironically, the case was brought by none other than current Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein — a magnet for controversy, it turns out.

But the years-long delay in prosecution mean that no one in the public, or in Congress, was aware that the FBI knew through Campbell about the Russian bribery plot as early as 2009 — well before the Obama-led Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) approved Uranium One in fall 2010.

Since the emergence of Campbell’s undercover work, there has been one unanswered question of national importance.

Did the FBI notify then-President Obama, Hillary Clinton and other leaders on the CFIUS board about Rosatom’s dark deeds before the Uranium One sale was approved, or did the bureau drop the ball and fail to alert policymakers?

Neither outcome is particularly comforting. Either the United States, eyes wide open, approved giving uranium assets to a corrupt Russia, or the FBI failed to give the evidence of criminality to the policymakers before such a momentous decision.

The views described in that post are sufficiently different from my views that I don't have a useful, directly responsive, answer.

Speaking more generally, I consider the Patriot Act to be one of a series of overt and covert measures, taken over decades, to subvert our Constitution based rule of law and to replace it with corrupt institutions controlled in various ways by the Bush, Clinton, and other crime syndicates and their sponsors and deep state handlers, within the US federal government, within major defense and intelligence corporations, within some other largely co-opted national governments, within some NGO's and financiers such as Soros, and associates.

I'd say that it is not so much that the Patriot Act gave the President the authority not to investigate, but that it, along with other measures, some dark and evil, gave the crime syndicates for which Obama was a front man sufficient control over good people in the government and country that they could get away with not investigating such high crimes and treasons, and even with being the primary perpetrators of such.

Congressional investigators have confirmed that a top FBI official met with Democratic Party lawyers to talk about allegations of Donald Trump-Russia collusion weeks before the 2016 election, and before the bureau secured a search warrant targeting Trump’s campaign.

Former FBI general counsel James Baker met during the 2016 season with at least one attorney from Perkins Coie, the Democratic National Committee’s private law firm.

That’s the firm used by the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign to secretly pay research firm Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence operative, to compile a dossier of uncorroborated raw intelligence alleging Trump and Moscow were colluding to hijack the presidential election.

The dossier, though mostly unverified, was then used by the FBI as the main evidence seeking a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant targeting the Trump campaign in the final days of the campaign.

The revelation was confirmed both in contemporaneous evidence and testimony secured by a joint investigation by Republicans on the House Judiciary and Government Oversight committees, my source tells me.

It means the FBI had good reason to suspect the dossier was connected to the DNC’s main law firm and was the product of a Democratic opposition-research effort to defeat Trump — yet failed to disclose that information to the FISA court in October 2016, when the bureau applied for a FISA warrant to surveil Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

“This is a bombshell that unequivocally shows the real collusion was between the FBI and Donald Trump’s opposition — the DNC, Hillary and a Trump-hating British intel officer — to hijack the election, rather than some conspiracy between Putin and Trump,” a knowledgeable source told me.

Baker was interviewed by lawmakers behind closed doors on Wednesday. Sources declined to divulge his testimony, other than to say it confirmed other evidence about the contact between the Perkins Coie law firm and the FBI.

The sources also said Baker’s interview broke new ground both about the FBI’s use of news media in 2016 and 2017 to further the Trump case and about Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s conversations in spring 2017 regarding possible use of a body wire to record Trump.

“The interview was one of the most productive we had and it opened up many new investigative leads,” one source said.

Another said Baker could not answer some questions about FBI media contacts, citing an ongoing investigation by the Justice Department inspector general into alleged illegal leaks, during and after the election, about the Trump collusion probe and other matters.

These revelations illustrate anew how much the FBI and Justice Department have withheld from the public about their collaboration and collusion with clearly partisan elements of the Clinton campaign and the DNC, Fusion and Steele, that were trying to defeat Trump.

The growing body of evidence that the FBI used mostly politically-motivated, unverified intelligence from an opponent to justify spying on the GOP nominee’s campaign — just weeks before Election Day — has prompted a growing number of Republicans to ask President Trump to declassify the rest of the FBI’s main documents in the Russia collusion case.

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), House Freedom Caucus leaders Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), veteran investigator Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and many others have urged the president to act on declassification even as FBI and Justice Department have tried to persuade the president to keep documents secret.

Ryan has said he believes the declassification will uncover potential FBI abuses of the FISA process. Jordan said he believes there is strong evidence the bureau misled the FISA court. Nunes has said the FBI intentionally hid exculpatory evidence from the judges.

And Meadows told The Hill’s new morning television show, Rising, on Wednesday that there is evidence the FBI had sources secretly record members of the Trump campaign.

“There’s a strong suggestion that confidential human sources actually taped members within the Trump campaign,” Meadows told Hill.TV hosts Krystal Ball and Ned Ryun.
