Two interesting facts about the disease, also called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)*:

1. Typically emerges between ages 40 to 60. (Hawking was diagnosed with it at age 21.)
2. Most people diagnosed with ALS die of respiratory failure within three to five years of diagnosis. (Hawking is 75 years old.)...

Agreed.
I wonder if the original Hawking is actually still alive or is the one we see today a fill-in?
I read some time ago that the original Hawking passed on some time ago but the death was hidden from the masses to cash in on his popularity.

Yes, I can see how and why something like that could be a possibility. He has had much to say lately, especially on humanity's fate and the threat of AI and robots. He is one of a few celebrity scientists, and one that many put their "blind" faith in (blind, because most don't understand theoretical physics and cosmology nor have ever read his books). Also, Breakthrough Initiatives, his collaborative with Zuckerberg and Milner, is interesting, but I wonder if it is a front for something else, something bigger.

Hawking has ventured way outside of the realm of theoretical physics & cosmology over the past decade. I wonder how all of his predictions over the years line up.

I do recall Hawking was a guest at "Little St. James", an island owned by a registered-sex offender billionaire named Epstein who has been accused of sex trafficking on that island. I tend to question how people associated with these scumbags keep making the headlines.

I did not know about his visit to that island, but you're right. Here's an article on it, with a photo of him at a BBQ.

I find the sudden change in Prof. Hawkins teeth to be particularly puzzling. Why the pronounced change in Hawking's lower teeth? Neither does he look 75 years old. Here are two side-by-side images I've created of Hawking to illustrate this:



In my opinion the nose, eyebrows and hairline differ too. How much this could be down to ageing I cannot say.

It would be interesting to obtain images of Hawking's ears, a particularly reliable way of uniquely identifying individuals (which some countries prefer over fingerprints).

If true then this is one hell of a sophisticated con-trick!
