Charles Manson's followers carried out murders on his orders

Charles Manson, the notorious cult leader who directed his followers to commit a string
of brutal murders, and who became a symbol of the dark side of 1960s counterculture,
has died aged 83.

Manson was admitted to Bakersfield hospital, California earlier this month and died of
natural causes on Sunday.

In 1969, his followers, known as the Manson family, killed seven people.

Among the victims of the killing spree was heavily pregnant Hollywood actress Sharon
Tate, wife of Roman Polanski.

Four other people at her home were also brutally stabbed to death. The next day, a
wealthy couple in Los Angeles were also killed by the clan. The killings became known
collectively as the Tate-LaBianca murders.

star in two movies at our local cinema. That'll be the Day and Stardust charting

and 70's with the many groups and rock stars who were pushing the boundaries
of society . We all knew what was going on with the sex and drug parties , groupies
etc , the comedy was bawdy and things were different as the austerity of the post

clashed in a kaleidoscope of rebellious out pouring in all parts of society in Europe
and the US. Even though the cold war was at it height , South East Asia was a blaze
and the Middle East was in deadlock , Northern Ireland and the troubles had
kicked off and the Soviet Union was beginning to shows signs of crumbling.....

All in all it was just as bad as today with the war on terror , North Korea ,
Middle East , Ukraine Russia all tension spots and domestically the US
/UK have political, sexual , financial scandals going on just like the 1960's...

I see Charles more a product of a lifetime in prison, in and out of adoption homes, abuse and street living with a short time out of the "system." Not saying he shouldnt pay for what happened but I dont see any unbiased view in the media. The media accused and sentenced Charles and probably influenced the verdict and it's like Charles is the scapegoat for evil.

Parole denied for convicted Manson follower Charles 'Tex' Watson

A California review board denied parole Thursday to Charles “Tex” Watson, the self-
described right-hand man of Charles Manson and a key figure in the Manson
family’s 1969 killing spree in the Los Angeles area.

Watson, 70, was initially sentenced to die in San Quentin's gas chamber for his part
in the murder of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and six others. In 1973, his
sentence was commuted to life in prison after the state Supreme Court ruled that
the death penalty was unconstitutional.

The panel's decision, reached late Thursday, marks the 17th time that Watson has
been denied parole, according to Luis Patiño, a spokesman for the state
Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. He'll be eligible for parole in five
years.Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. Jackie Lacey condemned Watson after the
parole board's decision was reached.

I was just about to post something similar. We made Charles. His mother was a prostitute, he was raised in the correctional system and then people wonder why he was the way he was. I am not saying he had no choice, but that was one hell of a way to start a life out. I can't say I would have turned out much better. It is the first 7 to 9 years of life that shapes who we are.

After watching the main five American news outlets daily for the last year its amazing how polarized they
are MSNBC , CNN ,ABC and CBS unashamedly anti Trump and Fox News on the pro side. The article just
shows how ridiculous most of the press are when it comes to the President its not only the news outlets
but comedy , late night shows , daytime like The View and early one like morning Joe virtually everyday
has anti Trump slant on anything they are discussing and comparing him to Manson is just silly and
desperate. It was a throw away segment from Fox but typical of what is going on.
