    Default John McCain [August 29, 1936 – August 25, 2018]

I'm hearing from my sources on Wall Street that he may not make it through the night.

These sources pay big money to know this before we do.
When in doubt, do the next right thing.

He was back in the hospital this morning to receive "treatment for the side effects of therapy".

John McCain described as increasingly frail, Senate sources say

Sources in the Senate tell CNN they have been worried about Sen. John McCain recently, following a week when the Arizona Republican was kept from the Senate to address side effects from his brain cancer treatment.

The sources described McCain as looking increasingly frail and said he has not spoken up in recent GOP meetings the way he had before, in addition to his absence this week for treatment at Walter Reed Medical Center.

One source said that McCain always used to speak up in these meetings, and that he hasn't at all recently. The source was not commenting on McCain's mental acuity, but on his energy level, and pointing out that his lack of participation was not normal. One well known side effect of cancer treatments is fatigue.

Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, McCain's closest friend in the Senate, said he spoke with Cindy McCain on Wednesday about her husband's health.

"He is receiving treatment for the side effects of therapy," Graham said. "I feel pretty good about the way the treatment is affecting his underlying cancer. But the treatment has a downside. So he is trying to rest up. I am very confident that he will come back and continue to participate for a long time to come."

Indeed, I remember his "bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran" song he sang to the tune of the beach boys Barbara Ann.
I mean bombing Iran is pretty much starting WWIII so yes I agree with you here.

This short article by John McCain was published Dec. 7, 2017 on Medium.com. It's all about how "order has yielded to chaos" in the USA and around the world.

As order spins out of control, it leaves chaos in its wake. Around the world and here at home, 2017 has seen the erosion of that order and the institutions that protect it — and we cannot act soon enough to reverse this trajectory.

Globally, the institutions of the post–World War II liberal world order continued their tragic decline. After 70 years of the greatest stability, security, and prosperity the world has ever known, we are letting that order slip through our fingers. If we do, we will find that the chaos left behind will neither protect our interests nor promote our values — and it will surely not secure the peace.

The liberal world order rejected the principles that led to two world wars — ethno-nationalism, spheres of influence, and imperialism — and replaced it with a system based on universal values, human rights, rule of law, and national sovereignty. This order did not occur by accident; it was the result of tireless efforts to build its foundation and advance the values that secured it. We must now fight vigorously to defend that order against the chaos that threatens its very existence.

But as defenders of the liberal order, we have not done our job. We grew complacent and lost touch with those who were experiencing hardship. We let our values be challenged and failed to come to their defense. At times we tried to do too much, and at others we did not do enough. We made mistakes.

    You read my mind.

I have not put too much effort into tracking what McCain has said and done over the last few months, but his approval of Trump's tax bill was an unpleasant surprise for many of his fans. There are several articles that point to this, including this USA Today piece: John McCain and Jeff Flake tax votes lose them fans and a legacy.

Jim Stone on Ben Garrison's cartoon:

Ben Garrison web site suspended (briefly) over the following cartoon

At last check it was up again but this cartoon could only be found elsewhere. Ha Ha, good one.

Explaining the above cartoon for those who don't know the details on McCain:

He was a fighter jet pilot during Viet Nam. His biggest claim to fame was when he wet started his jet and killed over 130 people with the chain reaction it caused. Wet starting a jet (back in the good old days) involved turning the fuel pumps on early. There were no safety systems to prevent it. After the fuel built up in the engines, they were then started and they would throw flames out the back.

Pilots did it for fun. McCain took it too far, blew way too much flame out, lit a fire on the aircraft carrier deck which then set off missiles on the planes behind him, these missiles touched off a weapons cache and that's all she wrote, 130 people died.

McCain was subsequently shot down and captured and when questioned he ratted everyone out like a songbird which is why he is called songbird McCain.

He's definitely privileged because he was not significantly punished for any of it.

He additionally let 1,300 people -- he knew had been captured -- rot in Viet Nam prison camps, and proceeded to be a self serving traitor to the American people as well as the ultimate war hawk, who was involved in the raiding of many innocent nations.

He was not a nice guy.

Interesting story about those almost indestructible toyota hilux trucks which you can't buy in North America and ISIS is driving.. they were bought by the Americans.

In April 2014, a report published by Public Radio International announced that US State Department aid sent to Syrian rebels included 43 Toyota trucks.

At the time, the Hiluxes were meant to support the Free Syrian Army, serving as “force enablers,” with the ability to house crew-served machine guns or other types of military equipment, Oubai Shahbander, a Washington-based advisor to the Syrian National Coalition, told Public Radio International. It’s unclear where the vehicles are now......... see above picture and you can see where they are now... McCain helped with this deal

    Top Gear Toyota Hilux
It's been called the world's most indestructible car. Any fan of Britain's Top Gear show would have seen the episode in which the highly opinionated Jeremy Clarkson tried to destroy a Toyota Hilux by setting it on fire, sinking it in the ocean, smashing it into a tree and dropping it from the top of a skyscraper....... see the videos on youtube on what they did to this truck

Also Nobody is mentioning McCain and the Keating 5 .. he should have gone to jail on that one

    Default John McCain die at 81 years . A veteran and much more . (August 29, 1936 – August 25, 2018)

    - John McCain has passed beyond this life now.
Hope he is happy with what he was and what
he might be, in his next life(s) ...
    -Here are some newslinks :

    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/25/o...cain-dead.html
Quote John S. McCain, the proud naval aviator who climbed from depths of despair as a prisoner of war in Vietnam to pinnacles of power as a Republican congressman and senator from Arizona and a two-time contender for the presidency, died on Saturday at his home in Arizona. He was 81.
    [url]https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/27/john-mccain-in-final-message-before
Quote The senator — who returned to Washington last year after his cancer diagnosis to warn about the effect tribalism and hostility could have on the chamber's ability to govern — emphasized decency and civility in his letter. The occasional critic of Trump also appeared to lament the president's effect on civil discourse in the country.
    https://edition.cnn.com/2018/08/25/politics/john-mccain-obituary/index.html.
Quote McCain, who has died at the age of 81, was a naval bomber pilot, prisoner of war, conservative maverick, giant of the Senate, twice-defeated presidential candidate and an abrasive American hero with a twinkle in his eye.
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-45324977
Quote McCain represented the internationalist, free-trade, pro-immigration wing of the Republican Party - or, at least, what's left of it. Mr Trump's politics focused on border security, immigration limits, protective tariffs and willingness to rankle allies to advance his foreign policy goals
    .
Be well, you and all .

The MSM will not shut up about what a “great” man he was, do we really need a thread praising this guy who is an absolute disgrace to veterans everywhere?

Garrison is now getting flak over his John McCain cartoons - here's the text, and a great summary from David Trd1 (crossposted from Transition into Trump thread)

Here's Garrison's take on it (cartoons at link) & he's already getting flak for it:

    https://grrrgraphics.com/ten-reasons...-mourn-mccain/

Ten Reasons Not to Mourn John McCain

    1. On July 29, 1967, the spoiled brat McCain pulled a prank and wet-started his jet while aboard the USS Forrestal. His mother lovingly called him a ‘scamp’ and it was well-known he was a practical joker and rule breaker. He finished near rock bottom in a class of over 800 at Annapolis because he tried to break every rule in the book there while also making terrible grades. Such a prank befits his character. The huge flame created touched off a bomb on the plane behind him which led to more bombs going off from other parked planes, which then led to the deaths of 134 sailors. McCain did nothing to help during the fire. He was whisked off the carrier and protected because his father and grandfather were Navy admirals. The Deep State Swamp media has since tried to cover this up. They protect their own.

UPDATE–I caught a lot of flak for the first one. Even some people who hate McCain like I do, they told me the facts show he did not cause the Forrestal fire. I’m not so sure, but I admit I could be wrong. REGARDLESS–he acted like a guilty man. He quickly left the ship with a reporter aboard a helicopter. He did this without permission and told the reporter he needed some “R and R.” So he spent several days in Saigon sipping on scotch and sodas. He missed the memorial for his dead shipmates. If he wasn’t guilty, he certainly ACTED like he was guilty!

    2. He was not a hero. Getting shot down and captured may make him a victim, but not a hero. He probably didn’t pay attention during a training class, and so he didn’t pull in his arms when he ejected over North Vietnam–and that’s why they were broken. His captors knew he was the progeny of four-star admirals and if anything gave him special treatment. McCain begged for medical treatment and sang like a bird at the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ to get it. He gave up vital intelligence that led to the deaths of more aviators.

    3. Upon his return to America he immediately stabbed his wife in the back. She was badly injured in a car accident and he couldn’t be bothered to help her. Instead, he quickly dumped her and married a wealthy heiress who could fund his political career. People get divorced all the time, but the manner in which he proceeded only underscores his cold-hearted selfishness.

    4. He’s painted as a happy and brave ‘Maverick’ and strong ‘Independent’ by the Deep State media. Wrong. He was a jackass of major proportions. The ‘Warrior’ of the Senate was owned by the Deep State and George Soros in particular. McCain became a shill for open borders who also supported globalism and carbon taxes to fight ‘climate change.’ At the same time, he was the worst enemy of military veterans, whom he left mistreated and in the lurch. Now there’s a bill in Congress meant to provide aid for vets and they want to name it after their ‘hero,’ McCain. Disgusting.

    5. He supported Bush in the Iraq war, even though the entry into that quagmire was based on lies. McCain claimed we would stay there 100 years if necessary. Such stubbornness and war mongering combined with his flash-temper only highlight the fact that he should have been nowhere near the nuke button. McCain was a reckless ‘hot head.’

    6. He was a spoiled and entitled brat who was repeatedly backed and bailed out at every turn by his pappy and grandpappy. He should never have been admitted into Annapolis in the first place. He should have been kicked out of Annapolis for his outrageous and rebellious behavior. He crashed a total of five military aircraft. He loved partying more than flying. He should have been kicked out of the Navy for crashing several jets during his daredevil clowning. He should have been nowhere near the Senate. The NeoCons rigged the primaries for McCain who contemptuously laughed at Ron Paul during the debates. He should have been nowhere near the Republican nomination, but the Deep State wanted McCain, the reckless ‘hot head’ to lose to Obama. He chose Sarah Palin as his running mate and years later blamed her for his loss. The hot head backstabber never took responsibility for his actions.

    7. He displayed great contempt for his constituents while showing his arrogance and hatred for America by never bothering to resign from the Senate when he knew he had terminal brain cancer. He wanted to go to the grave with his power, thus depriving Arizona from representation.

    8. He made sure trade restrictions were softened with Vietnam and hailed as a forgiving man of peace. Wrong! He did it so he could get his Budweiser distributorship there. He was first in line to make money from such legislation. The lust for money and power ruled rule-breaker McCain.

    9. He supported ISIS terrorists and wanted us to start another war in Syria, which might have lead to World War III. McCain was not a ‘maverick.’ He was an establishment war-mongering stooge and enabler for the Deep State.

    10. He leaked Hillary’s paid-for pack of lies, the Steele Dossier, to James Comey, in an attempt to bring down President Trump. This was illegal, but hey—he’s John McCain! Instead of showing remorse he said, “Anyone who doesn’t like it can go to hell!” A faux conservative, he voted against his own party and President Trump when he could—including his vote to keep ObamaCare. The lying backstabber McCain became much loved and he’s now being profusely praised by the Deep State Swamp and its propaganda media. That only proves what a scumbag he truly was.

Good riddance to the bad rubbish who was John McCain.
    —Ben Garrison
PS. Petty to the end, McCain said he did not want Donald Trump to attend his funeral and asked for Swamp Presidents, Obama and Bush to deliver eulogies. That’s all you need to know.
PSS. Suicide? How do you stop medical treatment one day and the next day you are dead…hmmmm

Im not a big jordan sather fan but found myself peaking through in the comments section of one of his latest videos re john McCain and found this little nugget in a pile of dead grey rocks. A wonderful summary on the man....

Quote Yea, McCain was a POS.
His father was the Admiral in charge of the Pacific fleet prosecuting the war in Vietnam.
Because of this he got preferential treatment in the Navy. He was allowed to become a Navy pilot. But he was a terrible pilot.
He crashed two navy Jets in his early career. Then while aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Forrestal, he got angry because he had to wait in line to take off on a bombing run.
He shut off his engines, opened the cockpit, and in his haste to exit the aircraft to chew someone out about his having to " wait", he hit the button that released his live bombs onto the deck of the Forrestal.
He took off running, as the bombs exploded, which set off a chain reaction of bombs from adjacent aircraft, and the ensuing explosions and fires killed 133 sailors aboard the Forrestal.
While his fellow sailors were fighting the fire, he went to the pilot's lounge below decks and watched the men fight the fire on closed circuit TV.
Hours later, he took off with a New York Times reporter buddy of his, and went on to say that after seeing the effects of those bombs on the Forrestal, he was beginning to question the morality of dropping those bombs on the Viet Cong.
He was the direct cause of 133 deaths on his own ship, and was never reprimanded. He was nowhere to be found as the Forrestal had to limp to the Philippines for months of repair work.
He was married then. His wife was stricken with debilitating injuries in an automobile accident, and while she was hospitalized for more than 5 months, was off gallivanting with anything in a skirt.
Upon returning from Vietnam Nam, he found his wife was disfigured by her injuries, which included a shattered pelvis, arm, and legs. In order to save her legs, doctors performed 23 surgeries on her, and had to remove significant portions of the bones in her legs, which left her shorter, and unable to walk, and in a wheelchair, she had to use a catheter.
McCain was disinterested in his first wife's predicament. She had to go through grueling physical therapy to learn to walk again.
After he left the Navy, he was intent on a career in politics. He and His wife had gotten to know Ronald and Nancy Reagan, and he was eager to jump into politics.
But he decided he needed a more visually pleasing young woman by his side. He callously divorced Carol, the mother of his three children, and immediately jumped into the sack with new wife Cindy, who was 18 years younger.
Upon learning of this, the Reagans were shocked and angered by how he had treated Carol.
While campaigning for congress, he used pictures of himself posing with Mr. And Mrs. Reagan, but there was no hearty endorsement offered by the Reagans.
His new young wife was also an heiress to an Arizona Brewing fortune.
And let us not forget he was one of the Keating 5, who had helped swindle life savings from countless Americans in the Savings and Loan scandal of the 1980's. He was in it up to his eyeballs.
Yet he was well-connected in Washington, and parlayed his connections into a seat in the United States Senate.
So before the tearful tributes start, be sure you remember the facts about this self-proclaimed Maverick. The facts do not agree with that portrait of a heroic patriot and great American.
With due respect to his family, he was never the great man so many portray him as.
I do not wish the man any harm or ill-will. But neither should we allow this false narrative fairy-tale about this scoundrel of a man as he faces his eternal fate.
And now you know the whole story. Donald already knew the story. So when he was called a draft Dodger just remember there are 133 dead navy sailors that probably wish he had been a draft Dodger rather than an Admirals son.
The fakestream media are now desperately trying to re-write history & convince the public that ALL of that about McCain is a "recycled falsehood" - great summary btw!

"We all know that no-name is no hero, and it would be disgraceful to pretend he is. How can we honor our true hero's if we also honor the false ones?

Those who know the truth, know the truth and cannot pretend."

Here is the actual script of John McCain’s 1969 “Tokyo Rose” propaganda broadcast on North Vietnamese radio.

To the Vietnamese people and the government of the DRVN:

From John Sidney McCain, 624787, Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Navy, born 29 August, 1936, Panama, home state Oregon. Shot down 26 October, 1967, A-4E aircraft.

I, as a U.S. airman, am guilty of crimes against the Vietnamese country and people. I bombed their cities, towns and villages and caused many injuries, even deaths, for the people of Vietnam.

I was captured in the capital city of Hanoi, while attacking it. After I was captured, I was taken to the hospital in Hanoi, where I received very good medical treatment. I was given an operation on my leg, which allowed me to walk again, and a cast on my right arm, which was badly broken in three places.

The doctors were very good and they knew a great deal about the practice of medicine. I remained in the hospital for some time and regained much of my health and strength. Since I arrived in the camp of detention, I received humane and lenient treatment.

I received this kind treatment and food even though I came here as an aggressor and the people who I injured have much difficulty in their living standards. I wish to express my deep gratitude for my kind treatment and I will never forget this kindness extended to me.

I merged this new McCain thread in with the existing thread covering his death.
