In keeping with the above information, I have to report the death of a Grand Nephew who died unexpectedly as a result of a drug overdose. Autopsy results have not yet reached me. Reportedly, his wife is also addicted to something and is in an unfit condition to care for her three boy children who have virtually been orphaned. Fortunately, they have been taken in by their father's uncle. The oldest boy is 13, the next two are 9 and possibly a much younger three or four years of age. They live in California and I have not met them.

Undoubtedly, the fingerprints of those in high places, who can never get enough money are all over the drug problem. The mention of Sloan Kettering, NY, and West Virginia, bring to mind the name Rockefeller. West Virginian pharmacies mentioned in one of the above posts suggests, because of the huge quantities of drugs mentioned, appear to me to possibly be import conduits for drugs to be distributed elsewhere.

Cannabis is a drug which leads to other hard drugs and destroys brain cells on its say to doing so. The long term plot to destroy the USA and the rest of the world with it and lead to the NWO was spoken of in secret to an audience of doctors in the 1970's by a Dr. Day. I have no doubt that drugging the people to death to reduce population was definitely a part of it; and on the way to doing so, the murderers would continue to amass huge sums of money. I only recently heard that the name Rockefeller was behind the Think Tank orchestrating this strategy. I could have predicted it.

Purdue Pharma 'offers up to $12bn' to settle opioid cases

    28 August 2019

    Attachment 41456

Purdue Pharma, the opioid drug-maker owned by the billionaire Sackler family, is reported to be offering between $10bn and $12bn to settle thousands of lawsuits against it.

The firm is facing over 2,000 lawsuits linked to its painkiller OxyContin.
Purdue told the BBC it was "actively working" towards a "global resolution" but would not comment on the amount.

NBC, which first reported the news, said the settlement would involve the Sacklers giving up ownership of Purdue.

The firm said in a statement: "While Purdue Pharma is prepared to defend itself vigorously in the opioid litigation, the company has made clear that it sees little good coming from years of wasteful litigation and appeals.

"Purdue believes a constructive global resolution is the best path forward, and the company is actively working with the state attorneys general and other plaintiffs to achieve this outcome."

According to Reuters, there is currently no agreement and the settlement discussions could collapse.

    What is the opioid crisis?

Opioids are a group of drugs that range from codeine, to illegal drugs like heroin.

Prescription opioids are primarily used for pain relief. They can be highly addictive.

On average, 130 Americans die from an opioid overdose every day, according to the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Opioids were involved in almost 400,000 overdose deaths in the US from 1999 to 2017, according to its research.

Purdue is one of 22 opioid makers, distributors and pharmacies named in over 2,000 cases which are due to go to trial in October.

The cases, which have been brought by states, cities and counties, allege the company used deceptive practices to sell opioids and is responsible for fuelling an opioid addiction crisis in the US.

Purdue has said that the US regulator, the Food and Drug Administration, approved labels for OxyContin that had warnings about the risks.

Earlier this year, Oklahoma settled with Purdue Pharma for $270m and Teva Pharmaceutical for $85m.

How much is a life worth? I lost a son and then recently a very good friend, who died of a heroin overdose. He was addicted to painkillers, but couldn't get any. So he bought heroin.

Agreed, and clearly you have an all too personal story to tell within this human tragedy.

What I think is important though is not the fact that billions of dollars are involved in fines or payoffs which in the case of billionaire families or companies could be considered an insult in human terms; but that the pharmacuetical executives are being made publicly accountable for their actions through a legal process, despite the platitudinous statements after the fact by their defence lawyers.

Purdue Pharma Reaches Tentative Deal To Settle Thousands Of Opioid Lawsuits

    September 11, 20198:21 PM ET

    https://www.npr.org/2019/09/11/75996...pioid-lawsuits

Purdue Pharma, the maker of the opioid drug OxyContin, has reached a tentative deal worth billions of dollars that would resolve thousands of lawsuits brought by municipal and state governments who sued the company for allegedly helping to fuel the opioid crisis.

The pending settlement likely means Purdue will avoid going to trial in the sprawling and complicated case involving some 2,300 local governments across 23 states.

Lawyer Paul Farrell, one of the lead attorneys representing more than 2,000 local governments that have filed suit against Purdue, said the Sackler family, which owns the privately-held drug company, will pay roughly $3 billion dollars in cash over several years and relinquish control of the company.
Details of the deal — like how the money will be divvied up — are still being worked out. The settlement, if enacted, would mean Purdue will file for bankruptcy and divest from pharmaceutical holdings worldwide.

"Which means the people who were front and center in causing this epidemic, in my view, won't be able to go out and repeat their playbook in Asia, South America or Africa," Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, who is part of the pending deal, told NPR.
