After months of steady progress, NASA’s Curiosity rover has reached the top of Vera Rubin Ridge.
Curiosity took the 16 photos with its wide-angle lens on October 25th, 2017 from an elevation of 1,073 feet (327 metres). NASA stitched the images together to create the composite view, and adjusted the white-balance so that the colour of the rocks appear as they would under daylight conditions on Earth.

The blue sky on Mars must be an accidental, technical failure. NASA will retract and correct the images shortly! I'm sure.

Seems like NASA is backtracking, but a little too late!

There are a number of researchers who claimed that certain older photographs taken by the Mars rovers were tampered with to make the sky look red or orange. They demonstrated that if the colour is corrected using graphics software, the sky is in fact blue, very much like our earth.

They then jumped to the conclusion that the Mars sky therefore really is blue and that NASA are hiding this from the public. But this was assuming that the rovers are taking photographs on Mars. If the rovers were actually taking photographs from the surface of the Earth, would the reason for NASA colouring the sky red or orange not seem more logical?

The original reason why NASA coloured their original images red could have been be to conceal the fact that they were taken on Earth.

But now the new Mars Rover photographs really do show a blue sky! So the question now is: is the Mars sky blue or is it red? Answers on a postcard please...

Two brief observations. Looking at the mountains in the distance they are not sharp as though there is s mist yet we are told that the Martian atmosphere is thin. Looks vaguely like a river running at the bottom of the valley.

The pics of Mars, corrected, show a slight blue tint to the sky, not an earth like blue sky, if I remember correctly.

I've got some interesting information to add regarding the Rover on the Moon that China is running. There is some China website that posts updated Hi-Resolution photos.

Tried doing a search here but can't find any info. Is there any threads regarding Moon and China rover like this thread ? --- Edit, I found a few and will post in the - Richard C Hoagland's Chinese Lunar Images

Fascinating. That looks so very Earth-like.

How were those mountains eroded? Clearly, there was rain, and flowing surface water.

Also looking at what looks like an eroded river bed or gully running through the scene it almost reminds me of crude oil run offs after spills or naturally occurring surface wells. Is decaying plant / animal matter the only way oil is formed ( pretty sure it is but .. )

Such deserts on Earth?? Surely, the Anunnaki hit Earth with nuclear devices to create such a scene. Biblical or associated history says that Abraham was told to leave Ur because the Anunnaki were going to destroy it. Also Enlill was said to have nuked what is presently desert before leaving Earth.

The Blue Sky should represent the Color Spectrum Rainbow.

If there was no Oxygen on Mars would it put wear and tear strain on moving parts on the rover ? What's going to keep the parts lubricated for example ?

The theory that crude oil is formed from the decayed remains of plants and animals is just that - a theory, dogmatically taught in school textbooks for decades.

I've yet to see any conclusive study that backs that theory up. In fact I think it is positively encouraged by the powers that be as a kind of fear-inducing mechanism to make us all think everything is running out and it will all come to a standstill one day

Other newly emerging evidences suggest that crude oil is not a fossil fuel at all, but rather a natural product of the earth that regenerates itself constantly, and not only on the earth, but right throughout the solar system:

If NASA did that themselves, perhaps that's the elephant in the bath, here.

When did they ever do that before ? ( for us the public, that is ).


I think it's more likely a case that they didn't apply much red shift to the original, for a change. Whatever it is, it could be another limited hangout "disclosure" move.

Notice the increasing blue tint in the distance, it is caused by the Oxygen in the atmosphere. The same effect can be seen on earth.


NASA´s we tint everything Mars red policy seems not to apply to many new pictures. As some here in the Forum suggested they might not want to be cought pants down.
