I looked this up and read that turpentine kills beneficial bacteria as well as harmful bacteria, making it questionable. Someone with Candida needs to build up beneficial bacteria in their bodies

I saw something posted and am not a member of your forum. She is treating the problem by treating it as a bacteria. Using drugs that kill bacteria will not do anything at all to kill fungus and that is the problem she has it is not a bacteria.

She needs to focus on anti-fungal not bacteria they are two different animals and if I understand her she is treating it incorrectly and wondering why no progress.

By the way the best fungal killer in the world is Vicks VapoRub.

You have a fungus on a toenail? On the corner of your lip? Touch it there with the stuff and cover it. Smother in the stuff on your toes, feet, cover in socks and sleep for a week that way. Your feet will never look better and the fungus won't stand a chance. You waste your time trying the other stuff when this is readily available and works.

My wife treated a fungus on her toes for years Bill! Years! She was undergoing tests for blood and liver function and the drugs they gave her to remove a toe fungus changed the melanin in her skin making her get darker skinned but never killed that fungus! My mother told her about Vicks and she used it and in four days! Four damn days that fungus was gone! Throw that other prescribed stuff out and get you some Vicks and just watch.

My mother has a nasty infection on one of her feet that she has spent a stupid amount of money fighting for the better part of a year. I called her as soon as I read this. She's excited to try it.

I'll be sure to report back with the results. If this works, let me tell you, it's one of those things you just need to know.
Well I 100% forgot about this, but it did, indeed, work, after a couple of weeks of daily application before bed.

I'm sorry that I never delivered!

I'd not visited this thread for a while, and (sorry!) never realized there was a poll. So I've just added my vote to 'Yes I have had it and no longer suffer from Candida'.

My story was simple. Nearly 30 years ago I realized I had Candida, as all the symptoms were there. It all made sense, as I'd had a LOT of antibiotics when I was a kid. (OMG.)

So I consulted a specialist, who was a kinesiologist. That's how he tested me, and tested to confirm all the supplements I needed.

I can't remember what all the supplements were, but the main protocol I do remember is the diet: no sucrose, fructose, glucose, lactose, yeast, mushrooms, caffeine, or wheat.

That simply starves the Candida right out, because it lives on sugar (including fruit sugar!) and yeast. So that meant no
    • Fruit of any kind
    • Dairy products of any kind
    • Bread
    • Alcohol
    • Tea or coffee.
I basically ate meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, soya, nuts and rice: a kind of simple paleo diet (all non-dairy fats were fine). Almost nothing else. I kept that up religiously for 18 months.

I got to feel fantastically healthy (as one might imagine), and after that I was all clear, and have stayed that way. But after that, interestingly, I've never been able to consume even a tiny whiff of alcohol... I'm as sensitive (literally) as a baby. No harm there.

Thanks Bill for sharing your story.

I've heard some people say they've cured it while either certain fruits, others say they cured it while eating wheat... There's a lot of variations.

I actually haven't been having a lot of noticeable symptoms of it lately and have put trying to cure myself on the backburner.

I'm not sure if you saw my other thread that you've posted on or not... But I left my soon to be ex husband and finally got into a shelter about 2 weeks ago! My son and I are safe here but a whole lot of legal problems have to be dealt with and addressed now.

I know this is off topic, but I thought I'd tell you since you encouraged me to leave Thank you!

Just a personal anecdote, but last year, I finally recovered from a rather lengthy disease that ended up sneaking off with most of my hearing, among other useful things. It also ended up causing a pretty tough infection that took multiple antiobitics and surgeries to situate.

After recovery, I noticed I was quite lethargic, tired, and just mentally/physically “off.”

I ended up visiting an acupuncture/holistic physician that a lot of folks in the area rave about, and after a very detailed exam, I was informed I likely had an issue with the Candida fungus. I ended up taking a few different combinations of herbs along with weekly acupuncture treatments, and after about two months, I felt like I had the energy I had as a kid. It’s been a complete reversal of symptoms.

Again, totally anecdotal, but I’ve not felt this well considering in years.

Low carb no sugar diet is the first step.
Also many folks here have tried turpentine. 100% gum spirits of turpentine, don't buy turp at the hardware store it has been denatured which means it has had petroleum added.
This is the type I've used. Diamond G
You can order it on Amazon for like $20

One teaspoon on three sugar cubes, once every three days.
You need the sugar, you are using the sugar to entice the candida and then the turp gets them.
For what it's worth, I saw a youtube several months ago of a guy who cured it by doing the opposite of what people generally recommend -- he ate strictly high carb, NO FAT diet. I can't find the video now though.

My wife makes soaps and lotions and sells them at the farmer's markets in the area I live.

She made a really good muscle rub that was for all intents and purposes edible because it was coconut oil and beeswax based.

The difficult ingredient to get was the camphor crystals, because there are laws restricting their sale for some reason.

You have to buy Camphor from India, and you have to say you are using it for incense. Really weird.

I found that ingesting the muscle rub had a lot of positive side effects, it killed your appetite and gave a lot of excellent health benefits.

Quote A: The active ingredients in Vicks VapoRub are camphor (a cough suppressant and topical analgesic), eucalyptus oil (a cough suppressant) and menthol (a cough suppressant and topical analgesic). The inactive ingredients in Vicks VapoRub include cedarleaf oil, nutmeg oil, petrolatum, thymol and turpentine oil.
Just as a side note Vick's Vapor Rub has been denatured, it has had pertolatum added, do not eat Vick's Vapor Rub. Just making sure we are clear on that.

Also, strangely enough I've found that the camphor in Vick's vapor rub is synthetic and made from Turpentine strangely enough. So it appears we have come full circle here.

Quote The synthetic camphor was tested and proven to deliver the same product benefits as the natural camphor for VapoRub.” The active ingredients in Vicks VapoRub are camphor, eucalyptus oil and menthol. They have been staples in this product for over 100 years.

Quote Today, camphor is chemically manufactured from turpentine oil. It is used in products such as Vicks VapoRub. Camphor products can be rubbed on the skin (topical application) or inhaled. ... People use camphor topically to relieve pain and reduce itching.

I've had Candida problems for several years now and control it by having a very limited diet.

Has anyone here had experience with this life changing condition?
I've had systemic candida since a teen when my dermatologist put me on daily tetracycline for acne -- for 6 YEARS! I recently tried some "Nashville hot chicken" and it felt like the cayenne pepper was attacking the candida. Today I made up a bunch of cayenne pepper capsules, feels like it's doing something. Time will tell.

Apparently cayenne is known for fighting candida:

"It has the ability to kill fungus and prevent formation of fungal pathogens. Studies found that it was active against 16 different fungal strains, including Candida."

Everything Bill said here about a simple paleo diet is essential. I didn't know about camphor. Another anti-fungal is methylene blue. There's a very interesting article about it at the
    US National Library of Medicine
    National Institutes of Health
and you can find much useful information about it searching Earth Clinic.

I picked up an intestinal parasite, which went undiagnosed for around 6 years or so. My understanding is that intestinal parasites behave in the same way as candida - they thrive in the same conditions and parasites often lead to candida. I got rid of mine with castor oil and switching to vegan.
I've beena vegan for the past couple of years and primarily for vegetarian my entire life
try the carnivore diet. Apparently it's the cure to candida. too many vegans are dropping like flies due to the lack of proper nutrition on the vegan diet. It's an impossible diet to maintain permanently.

Candida is a fungus and it comes in various disguises.
Instead of a chemical or pharmaceutical drugs, I use herb formulas.
Like cancer cells, we all have them and the idea is to keep them under control.
We are all different and we react differently to fungus.
Some people have jock itch, athlete's foot, emotional roller coasters, blackness around the eyes, etc., while others don't.
Some cancers behave like fungus, and fungus and parasitic infection seem to augment each other.
Eating raw fish, which is common where I live, is definitely a no-no.

Beer, moldy cheese, chocolate (which has been fermented), or anything that lowers your immune system can proliferate candida in the human body.

Leaky gut is more like the result of big round worms which can make swiss cheese out of your intestines.
Candida is fungus, and some (not all) cancers behave like fungus.

Everyone is different, so the candida infections may go unnoticed, but the best cure (without any side effects) is probably herb combinations and homeopathy. Acidophilus will greatly help, needless to say.

Beer, moldy cheese, sugar, raw mushrooms, chocolate (which as been fermented) and other fermented foods can provoke itchiness, athleet's foot, jock itch, etc., but again, everyone is different.

I have a chronic fatigue issue, but it's more like due to chemtrails. Fungus and parasitic infections seem to augment each other, so use of wormwood is recommended on a regular basis.

One very interesting thing about fungus infection is, white people are more susceptible, while Asians seem to be more resistant to fungus infection. That's why you have to be careful when you buy Chinese herb medicine, because it almost always contains mushrooms (and other nasties you don't want to know). Brown rice was made popular by some macrobiotics from Japan, but it is the source of fungal toxin.

Marya suffered for years with candida and to my knowledge she has cured herself. She is a brilliant woman and has also cured herself from migraines. I would get in touch with her. She is well versed and studied and would have a great deal to add that could be shared.

I don't have time to read the posts above so I don't know if this has been mentioned:

Hydrogen Peroxide - food grade - I think it is 30% so it's very strong.

Start with 1 drop in a full glass of water, taken on an empty stomach, preferably first thing in the morning.

    Day 1 - 1 drop
    Day 2 - 2 drops
Day 3 - drops, etc., until you reach the maximum

The safe maximum is 1 drop per 10 pounds of body weight so if you weigh 100 lbs, then your maximum should be 10 drops. Stay on your maximum, according to your weight, for 2 weeks and then reverse until you go back to 1 drop per day and keep taking it daily for maintenance.

If you start to feel nauseous then do not increase until the nausea stops, once the nausea stops, increase another drop. I hope this is clear.

Turpentine seems to work for many people. I tried it and it had very adverse effects on my digestive system but I could handle Hydrogen peroxide as described above with no problems. I felt very energetic once I'd done the cleanse. It kills fungi and bacteria and other pathogens but it does not kill good bacteria.

Eat fermented foods. Take probiotics. Eat fruit but only the low glycemic kind, like plums and apples. Avoid oranges, grapes and bananas as they contain a lot of sugar. Avoid all refined flours and processed foods. Avoid grains until the condition has cleared. Only old grains like millet, amaranth, buckwheat and brown rice are allowed, but even these should be consumed sparingly.

While vegan diets work for many, they do not work for me. If being vegan works for you, that is great! But you must avoid sugars wheat, potatoes, and anything which converts into sugar. You can do some research about which foods convert into sugar. All vegetables are good except potatoes.

Hydrogen peroxide is very potent stuff so make sure you don't get it anywhere near your eyes as it can burn them. If you get it on your hands, the affected part will turn white, but this goes away quickly. Make sure children do not go near it. Keep it in the freezer. Available at almost any health food store.

Good luck to you in finding the right solution. It's out there. I'm sure there is a lot of great advice on this thread beside the one in my post.

    With love,

    Daughter of Time

When I stopped eating sugar (grains, corn, corn syrup, maple syrup, et) the candida stopped in about 3 months. The fungus eats sugar thus you are starving it out. I didn't change my diet for that reason but noticed it was one oaf the many benefits of eating healthy. Also when I had chronic fatigue syndrome I had severe candida. Most people get it when they have a cold or flu (coated tongue) because our immune system is on overdrive or weakened. Thus you may have another issue that is primary and candid is a reaction.

Default Re: Has anyone here had Candida and cured it?

I posted here a few days ago, and my posts keep disappearing. Help!

Among worms, parasites, virus, bacteria and fungus, fungus is the most tenacious and hard to get rid of.
Candida is fungus and its resembles (some) cancers in its behavior.
Like cancer cells, everyone has candida to a certain degree, and the question is to keep it in check.

There are herb combinations and homeopathy to deal with candida. If it's on the skin, you can use good quality essential oils, but the fungus comes from inside the body, and not just on the surface.
The symptoms include athlete's foot, jock itch, lines in the nails, deformed nails (toes and fingers), emotional swings, etc., and white people seem to be more prone than Asians.

That's why you have to be careful when you buy Chinese medicine from a Chinese pharmacy because the product almost always contains mushrooms.

By the way, if you see a few worms come out, don't think you have dewormed successfully.
Just like roaches, if you kill one, there are still 99 hiding in some places. Worms are the same way. Deworm regularly and never eat raw fish, among other things.
