Default While looking at the southern English countryside

Was looking around the stone circles when I came across this strange markings in a field?
Zoom in and you see they are excahaveations, trenches dug through to the chalk?

    Google Earth:
    Lat: 51.169947°
    Long: -1.841027°

Then I knoticed this strange "farming" setup here.
There seems to be a map fail here also, they trying to hide this area?
If this is farming what do you think it could be? Pig farming? very large anyways.

    Lat : 51.170099°
    Long: -1.850879°

If you look at the "historical Maps" for this area you can see how this "Farming" has moved across the area.

    Hi Foxie

    No, no added answers.

It just looked a bit strange when I saw the map image not fully showing one way or the other, added to that the strange looking farming set up. Well add them together and it just set my mind a wondering

Can you describe the 'strange farming set-up'?

Why do you term it strange, what is strange about it?

I don't have google earth, and have no compulsion to, so anything you can describe would be most welcome.

As far as the markings in the field -- not too sure. just looks like areas where the crop won't grow, but it doesn't look natural ...

Aye, most definitely a pig farm. The county of Norfolk is by far the biggest producer of pork in the UK, owing to the fairly flat geography.

Interestingly, before I found those I was going to say that it did not look like a pig farm, as the pig farms in my area are completely different looking with massive buildings - I guess to keep the pigs in and alive through the winter time. It gets damn cold here ...
