"It is probably a false flag "

Dr Chris Busby on the Skripal Russia Poisoning affair

    Published on 6 Apr 2018

Dr Busby says a few words about the Russian Nerve Agent issue. He speaks as an expert in
this area. Chris worked for several years at the famous Wellcome Research laboratories in
Beckenham, London as a Senior Scientist in the Department of Physical Chemistry. His job,
at the basic level, was to help determine the structure and origin of pharmaceutical compounds.
So, he is an expert in this area. He also carried out similar work at Queen Mary College London
for his first PhD and synthesised complex organic chemicals. From that, he relates that the
synthesis of a specific small organic chemical like the supposed Novichoks is not very difficult.

Most sythetic organic chemists could knock up small quantities of the 234 compound, given the
structure. Mainly, there is no way that the compound that was detected in the Skripal attack could
be traced to a Russian laboratory (or any laboratory) by any lab unless the lab already had a sample
known to come from the Russian laboratory (or the source laboratory). The determination and
identification methods mainly depend on mass spectrometric fragmentation patterns, and include
the spectrum of stray molecular fragments from impurities associated with the synthesis route.
This is how Wellcome located Patent jumping, and took this evidence ( from Busby and colleagues)
into the courts. All chemists know this, and that is why the Porton head said what he said, as any
chemist would have been able to raise this issue and show that he was lying, if he said anything else.
It is basic physical chemistry. So, the new headline in the Times, about a secret Russian laboratory
is also bogus. What is also clear is that the mass spectrum of the A234 compound was put on the
NIST database in 1998 by a worker from the USA chemical warfare laboratory. Chris therefore concludes
that this whole affair is a tissue of lies and misdirection, rather like the WMD Iraq scenario and is aimed
at creating a war with Russia that no one can win and where all life will lose. Why is this being done?
Because the only way for the rich and powerful to escape the coming US Economic catastrophe caused
by the destruction of the petrodollar is to pull the house down and hope to escape in the general confusion
    and disaster from the wreckage.

Dr Farrell had a blog with some interesting speculation on this yesterday... he wonders whether Mrs May and Boris Johnson have been lied to and whether the trail leads to Brussels and Berlin.

Quote MRS. MAY’S FABULOUS FABLE FUMBLE (OR, HOW NOT TO GAS A SPY)
    Joseph P. FarrellApril 9, 2018

    ...

Well, consider the latest developments(and I have to thank so many of you who found and sent various versions of these updates):

First, Britain's major chemical and biological weapons facility, Porton Down, has not been able to conclusively prove that the alleged "nerve agent" used on Skripal is from Russia:

BREAKING: UK Porton Down Lab UNABLE to Identify Russia as “Source” of Novichok Poison
    https://www.lewrockwell.com/2018/04/...vichok-poison/

Salisbury poisoning: UK experts cannot prove novichok nerve agent used on Skripals came from Russia, MoD says
    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-a8286761.html

But never mind, because the "case" against Russia, we were assured, was absolutely air tight and compelling, even though the central feature of the story linking the whole affair to Russia can't be proven. One senses, perhaps, a bit of double entendre in the Ministry of Defence's quip about letting the Government "piece together the conclusions."

Wait, it gets better: Secondly, Yulia Skripal is now apparently not only still alive, but awake from her deadly nerve gas attack, which turns out not to have been so deadly (and maybe not even nerve gas, but we'll get back to that):

Yulia Skripal Is Awake and at the Center of a Russia-U. K. Confrontation
    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/05/w...ore-ipad-share

Now, just in case you missed it, the screenplay writers at the New York Times were kind enough to point it out:
Russian television broadcast a telephone recording on Thursday said to be of Yulia Skripal, who was poisoned with a military-grade nerve agent (https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/01/w...pgtype=article) a month ago and is at the center of an escalating confrontation between Russia and Britain.

In the recording, which the Rossiya 24 news announcer emphasized could not be verified, Ms. Skripal tells her cousin Viktoria that both she and her father, Sergei V. Skripal, are healthy, and that neither of them has suffered long-term health damage from the poisoning. The recording contradicted public statements by the British authorities, who have described Mr. Skripal’s condition as “critical but stable” and said that only Ms. Skripal was conscious [https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/29/w...hospital.html].

Within hours of the program’s broadcast, the British police released a statement on Ms. Skripal’s behalf, in which she said that she “woke up over a week ago now” and that her “strength is growing daily.”
Now, whether or not the telephone calls actually occurred, the important point here is to note that the U.K. appears to agree with the Russians that Yulia Skripal is alive, and more or less "well" and "conscious." And this raises a few questions:

The Three Most Important Aspects Of The Skripal Case... And Where They Might Be Pointing
    https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-...ht-be-pointing
On the first two points we are now told that Yulia Skripal’s condition has significantly improved to the point where she is said to be recovering well and talking. However, although this provides something of an answer to these questions, it also raises a number of others. Is she finally being allowed consular access? Is she being allowed to speak to her fiancé, her grandmother, or her cousin by telephone? Most importantly, how does her recovery comport with the claim that she was poisoned with a “military-grade nerve agent” with a toxicity around 5-8 times that of VX nerve agent? (Underlined emphasis added)
This is precisely where my problems with this whole story began, for why would Russia choose such a method to kill a spy that it once had in its possession and traded to Britain? If Russia wanted Skripal dead, he would be, by now, well and truly dead, no ifs, ands, or buts. But now we have survivors of a toxic nerve gas attack, which suggests that the "attack" might not have been a nerve gas attack - or any other kind of attack - at all. Indeed, Viktoria Skripal - in the most Green Acres aspect of the story to come out - went so far as to suggest that the whole episode may have just been a case of food poisoning and "bad fish."

Russia spy SHOCK: Sergei Skripal and daughter ‘might NOT have been poisoned’, claims niece
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world...ktoria-skripal

So what's the high octane speculation here?

From the outset, this story has been like a mackerel on a moonlit beach: it both shines and stinks. Nothing about the story made sense when it broke, and it makes even less sense now, and as it appears to be falling apart, one senses that Mrs. May and U.K. Secretary of State Boris Johnson are becoming a little camera-and-microphone shy. Mr. Johnson is not a stupid man, and his unequivocal statements to various western media that the nerve agent was definitely from Russia have me wondering something that no one appears to be asking; Russia, for example, has recently floated the idea that this was all a bungled operation of British intelligence, with the subtext (Yes, you can read these subtitles Lisa): Mrs May and Mr. Johnson are lying. But given Mr. Johnson's repeated, and unequivocal statements to various Western media, I have to wonder if, rather, he and Mrs. May were lied to. To what purpose? I can only speculate, but very little of this, I suspect, has to do with Russia. As a crisis of opportunity, it certainly could be and was used to expel Russian diplomats whom the various western Governments probably wanted to expel anyway. The story presented itself as a crisis of opportunity to do so. Nothing more. The real fallout of the episode now appears to be reaching out to engulf the May government, to weaken it substantially and perhaps even to topple it. In other words, the whole thing was, as they say, a "set up."

To what end? Again, I can only speculate, but if this whole bizarre scenario is to make any sense at all, then there is one big issue that, perhaps, certain sectors of Europe would not want Mrs. May or Mr. Johnson "poking around" and asking "too many difficult questions" at "this difficult time" when "Mrs. Merkel has so many issues on her plate," like the looming European banking problems, the Italian election results, and so on. The big issue looming in the background of all this is, of course, BREXIT. The last thing, the very last thing that Frau Merkel or her faithful lap-poodle Jean-Claude Juncker wants right now is a strong government in London. Solution? Create a distraction for the May government, which, with any luck, may even weaken it. In other words, in the Skripal case, all roads may lead, not to Moscow, or to London, but to Brussels and to Berlin.

I wouldn't put it past them, and neither should you...

See you on the flip side...

From the outset, I've had a very strong feeling that May and co, and the backbencher army, have got a gun to their heads.

I can only make wild guesses about who's holding the gun.

I can't answer that question but it's somehow proded my memory that I read here somewhere a while go that the "western alliance" has been quietly restocking arms in places ready for another round of arjibarji in the Russia/Syria/Iran/Israel theatre. And let's not forget all the military hardware and troops lined up on Russia's western flank.

It's pretty obvious to me that the Skripal case and the gas bombing in Syria are coordinated to flip the odds on a heavy handed action in the area of Syria.

In a way, someone has suddenly pulled a gun on Putin, and is waiting for him to blink. I hope Putin is resilient, or this is going to go very bad. It boggles my mind that someone has actually lined up troops for an invasion of Russia while sneakilly putting together this string of completely fake propaganda events to psych up the sheeple for a blood bath. Jeeze, are we really going there ? !

A possibility, is that they are manouvering to kick Russia off the UN permanent security council. If they can do that, thay can make a whole lot of moves that they can't yet make.

How the UK (and other) public was pre-sold on that Skripal script:

How TV Spy Fiction Helped Sell the Salisbury Poisoning

    Sputnik Opinion
    18:50 11.04.2018

    © AFP 2018/ Ben STANSALL

The ongoing series of government-supported TV shows Homeland and Strike Back are featuring storylines that have pre-empted or reinforced aspects of the Skripal poisoning story.

From assassinations on foreign soil to deadly Novichok poison, unhinged Russian hitmen to re-doubled agents, almost every element of the poisoning of Sergei and Yulia Skripal has been spotlighted as a character or plotline in the latest series of Homeland and Strike Back. Sputnik spoke exclusively with a critic of the British government’s story about the Skripals about the role of these popular TV shows in the unfolding drama in Salisbury.

    Strike Back
The sixth season of Strike Back is a joint British-American production that broadcast in late 2017 and early 2018 in the UK and recently finished its run on Cinemax in the US. Central to the plot in the first half of the season is Karim Markov, a Russian scientist who has devoted his life to developing Novichok nerve agents. The dialogue frequently name-drops Novichok, in episodes that were shown in the weeks before the Skripals were discovered.

Sputnik spoke with sceptic of the UK government’s account and admin of Moon of Alabama Bernhard, who does not believe Novichok was used to attack the Skripals. He explained, “I believe that the Skripals suffered from simple food poisoning. They ate a Risotto Peske with mussels at the Zizzi restaurant and unintentionally poisoned themselves with Saxitoxin, a natural ‘nerve agent’ that is also known as shellfish poison.” Bernhard went on to explain that he suspects that British government officials lifted the Novichok explanation from Strike Back, saying, “A day later the government woke up to that fact that the Skripal case could be used to divert from May’s problems with the Brexit negotiations and help in upcoming elections. They needed something splashy to blame it on Russia. Someone in the governments spin-master group came up with ‘Novichok’.”

It's strange that a British-American intelligence TV drama Strike Back had several episodes featuring Novichok nerve agent and Evil Russkies last year. Someone orchestrating political theater in the UK watches a lot of TV, or is advised by its producers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strike_Back:_Retribution …

Strike Back depicts the Markov character making Novichok in a secret lab for the wife of an international jihadi terorrist, who plans to sell him on to the FSB. When the Russian agents arrive at the lab the Section 20 team stop the plot and save the day, killing all the Russians and triumphantly destroying the lab. Bernhard commented, “Spin-masters look at current culture and use what works and fits.”

    At Homeland With the Skripals
Meanwhile, the latest series of Homeland has included characters and plot points that have chimed, week-by-week, with aspects of the unfolding media coverage of the Skripals. In the opening episode a government traitor is assassinated, poisoned with a nerve agent. While it is initially unclear who the culprits are, in episodes that broadcast on March 4 (the day the Skripals were found) and March 11 make it clear that a Russian intelligence ‘active measures’ unit are behind the poisoning. A week later and the Russian assassins were at it again, murdering their own intelligence agent who had defected to the West.

In the most recent episodes an FBI agent, Dante Allen, who had been turned by Russian intelligence is unmasked by our hero Carrie Mathison, who then poisons him with a nerve agent to trick him into thinking he is going to die, and to make him confess. The episode broadcast April 8 showed Dante recovering in hospital, with the Russian assassin demanding that his superiors let him assault the hospital to get to the agent. On the same day the British media were reporting that the Skripals, who were still in hospital, were so terrified of rabid Russian assassins that they were going to be given new lives and new identities in America. Yulia Skripal has since been discharged from hospital. These curious parallels between the plots in Homeland and Strike Back and the media coverage of the Skripal poisoning drama have led some to ask whether they are functioning as government propaganda. Strike Back is based on novels by former SAS officer Chris Ryan, and Ryan along with other ex-SAS and SBS soldiers are consultants on the series, helping to train the cast in special operations. Homeland has enjoyed a close relationship with the CIA since its first season in 2010 where the producers meet with spooks before writing each season’s scripts.

Sputnik asked Bernhard about this relationship and he commented:
“The CIA and the Pentagon sponsor many, many movies and TV series and get control over the scripts. US culture is created by the (deep) state to create the society it needs, not the other way around. Through the export of such series it can control many other cultures. This has been ongoing ever since the Second World War.”

Yulia Skripal: No-one speaks for me

    12/4/18

Yulia Skripal, the poisoned daughter of Russian ex-spy Sergei, has rejected Russian
    embassy help "at the moment".

The 33-year-old, who was discharged from hospital on Monday, said her father
    is "still seriously ill".

In a statement issued through police, she said she was not yet strong enough to
give a full media interview but "no-one speaks for me, or for my father".

The Russian embassy said it doubted the statement "really belongs to Yulia" and said it raised new questions.

Ms Skripal and her 66-year-old father, who were found slumped on a park bench in
Salisbury on 4 March, were exposed to the toxic nerve agent Novichok.

Mr Skripal remains at Salisbury District Hospital.

In her statement, Ms Skripal said she found herself in "a totally different life than
the ordinary one I left just over a month ago".

Craig Murray: Yulia Skripal is clearly under duress

Only the Russians have allowed us to hear the actual voice of Yulia Skripal, in that recorded conversation with her cousin. So the one thing we know for certain is that, at the very first opportunity she had, she called back to her cousin in Russia to let her know what is going on. If you can recall, until the Russians released that phone call, the British authorities were still telling lies that Sergei was in a coma and Yulia herself in a serious condition.

We do not know how Yulia got to make the call. Having myself been admitted unconscious to hospital on several occasions, each time when I came to I found my mobile phone in my bedside cabinet. Yulia's mobile phone plainly had been removed from her and not returned. Nor had she been given an official one - she specifically told her cousin that she could not call her back on that phone as she had it temporarily. The British government could have given her one to keep on which she could be called back, had they wished to help her.

The most probable explanation is that Yulia persuaded somebody else in the hospital to lend her a phone, without British officials realising. That would explain why the first instinct of the British state and its lackey media was to doubt the authenticity of the call. It would explain why she was able to contradict the official narrative on their health, and why she couldn't get a return call. It would, more importantly, explain why her family has not been able to hear her voice since. Nor has anybody else.

It strikes me as inherently improbable that, when Yulia called her cousin as her first act the very moment she was able, she would now issue a formal statement through Scotland Yard forbidding her cousin to be in touch or visit. I simply do not believe this British Police statement:
"I was discharged from Salisbury District Hospital on the 9th April 2018. I was treated there with obvious clinical expertise and with such kindness, that I have found I missed the staff immediately.

"I have left my father in their care, and he is still seriously ill. I too am still suffering with the effects of the nerve agent used against us.

"I find myself in a totally different life than the ordinary one I left just over a month ago, and I am seeking to come to terms with my prospects, whilst also recovering from this attack on me.

"I have specially trained officers available to me, who are helping to take care of me and to explain the investigative processes that are being undertaken. I have access to friends and family, and I have been made aware of my specific contacts at the Russian Embassy who have kindly offered me their assistance in any way they can. At the moment I do not wish to avail myself of their services, but, if I change my mind I know how to contact them.

"Most importantly, I am safe and feeling better as time goes by, but I am not yet strong enough to give a full interview to the media, as I one day hope to do. Until that time, I want to stress that no one speaks for me, or for my father, but ourselves. I thank my cousin Viktoria for her concern for us, but ask that she does not visit me or try to contact me for the time being. Her opinions and assertions are not mine and they are not my father's.

"For the moment I do not wish to speak to the press or the media, and ask for their understanding and patience whilst I try to come to terms with my current situation."
There is also the very serious question of the language it is written in. Yulia Skripal lived part of her childhood in the UK and speaks good English. But the above statement is in a particular type of formal, official English of a high level which only comes from a certain kind of native speaker.
"At the moment I do not wish to avail myself of their services" - wrote no native Russian speaker, ever.
Nor are the rhythms or idioms such as would in any way indicate a translation from Russian. Take "I thank my cousin Viktoria for her concern for us, but ask that she does not visit me or try to contact me for the time being. Her opinions and assertions are not mine and they are not my father's." Not only is this incredibly cold given her first impulse was to phone her cousin, the language is just wrong. It is not the English Yulia would write and it is awkward to translate into Russian, thus not a natural translation from it.

To put it plainly, as someone who has much experience of it, the English of the statement is precisely the English of an official in the UK security services and precisely not the English of somebody like Yulia Skripal or of a natural translation from Russian.

Yulia is, of course, in protective custody "for her own safety". At the very best, she is being psychologically force-fed the story about the evil Russian government attempting to poison her with the doorknob, and she is being kept totally isolated from any influence that may reinforce any doubts she feels as to that story. There are much worse alternatives involving threat or the safety of her father. But even at the most benevolent reading of the British authorities' actions, Yulia Skripal is being kept incommunicado, and under duress.

Right. Something to be considered here is that (certainly in the UK), suspect or witness statements formally given to the police for legal purposes are very often written by the police themselves, as a summary of a verbal interview or interviews, where the interviewer is taking notes. The person concerned then reads it (or has it read to them), and then signs it off if they feel it's fair and accurate.

That doesn't mean that in this case there wasn't some kind of coercion or sleight of hand involved! But Craig Murray does seem to be British... he refers to his 'mobile phone' (the British term), and not his 'cellphone', so if he's a Brit he really should know about UK police statement processes.

Salisbury poisoning: Russia 'targeted' Yulia Skripal email

    13/4/18

Russian intelligence agencies targeted poison victim Yulia Skripal's email
account as early as 2013, the UK's national security adviser has said.

In a letter to Nato, Sir Mark Sedwill also said Russia trained "special units"
to use nerve agents, including applying them to door handles.

Police said a nerve agent was found on Yulia's father Sergei Skripal's front door in Salisbury.

Sir Mark is to brief Nato on Sunday about the 4 March attack.

BZ Substance Possessed by UK, US, Allegedly Used in Salisbury - Lavrov

    Sputnik World

The United Kingdom has accused Moscow of poisoning ex-Russian spy Sergei Skripal in the UK town of Salisbury with what UK experts have claimed was an A234 nerve agent, which had allegedly been produced in the Soviet Union.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said citing data from the Swiss laboratory that the BZ toxin was used in the poisoning of the Skripals, adding that the chemical has been in the possession of the US and the UK, but has never been produced in Russia. Specialists from the laboratory finished examining the samples on March 27.
"Based on the results of the examination, traces of the toxic chemical BZ and its precursors, related to chemical weapons of the second category in accordance with the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, were found in the samples. BZ is a nerve agent temporarily disabling a person. The effect is achieved within 30-60 minutes and lasts up to four days," Lavrov said, citing the results of the Swiss lab's examination.
Lavrov went on to ask why the Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), which is investigating the poisoning, hasn't taken the information about the BZ chemical into consideration. He also pointed out that the BZ chemical, as well as the Novichok toxin, was not mentioned in the OPCW's final report.
"If, of course, the OPCW refutes the fact of using the laboratory of Spiez, it will be interesting to listen to its explanations," the foreign minister added.
OPCW experts determined that a toxic chemical of high purity was used in the Skripal poisoning, but did not mention who could have been behind the incident.

Lavrov went on to state that Moscow seeks to focus on facts regarding the so-called Skripal case. He noted that the UK authorities don't answer Moscow's questions on the issue, saying the Russian authorities should answer the questions first.

Skripal and his daughter were found unconscious on March 4 on a bench at a shopping center in the UK city of Salisbury. London has accused Moscow of orchestrating the attack. Soon after the incident, London expelled 23 Russian diplomatic workers in retaliation. Over 25 countries have since expelled Russian diplomats "in solidarity" with London. Moscow has denied the accusations as baseless, offering assistance in the investigation.

Skripal Case Bombshell: Swiss Lab Reports 'BZ Toxin' Used In Salisbury - Chemical Not Produced In Russia, Only NATO States

    RT
    Sat, 14 Apr 2018 14:37 UTC

    'Oh dear'

The substance used on Sergei Skripal was an agent called BZ, according to Swiss state Spiez lab, the Russian foreign minister said. The toxin was never produced in Russia, but was in service in the US, UK, and other NATO states.

Sergei Skripal, a former Russian double agent, and his daughter Yulia were poisoned with an incapacitating toxin known as 3-Quinuclidinyl benzilate or BZ, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, citing the results of the examination conducted by a Swiss chemical lab that worked with the samples that London handed over to the Organisation for the Prohibition of the Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

The Swiss center sent the results to the OPCW. However, the UN chemical watchdog limited itself only to confirming the formula of the substance used to poison the Skripals in its final report without mentioning anything about the other facts presented in the Swiss document, the Russian foreign minister added. He went on to say that Moscow would ask the OPCW about its decision to not include any other information provided by the Swiss in its report.

The Swiss center mentioned by Lavrov is the Spiez Laboratory controlled by the Swiss Federal Office for Civil Protection and ultimately by the country's defense minister. The lab is also an internationally recognized center of excellence in the field of the nuclear, biological, and chemical protection and is one of the five centers permanently authorized by the OPCW.

The Russian foreign minister said that London refused to answer dozens of "very specific" questions asked by Moscow about the Salisbury case, as well as to provide any substantial evidence that could shed light on the incident. Instead, the UK accused Russia of failing to answer its own questions, he said, adding that, in fact, London did not ask any questions but wanted Moscow to admit that it was responsible for the delivery of the chemical agent to the UK.

The scandal erupted in early March, when former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were found in critical condition in the town of Salisbury. Top UK officials almost immediately pinned the blame on Russia.

Moscow believes that the entire Skripal case lacks transparency and that the UK is in fact not interested in an independent inquiry. "We get the impression that the British government is deliberately pursuing the policy of destroying all possible evidence, classifying all remaining materials and making a transparent investigation impossible," the Russian ambassador to the UK, Alexander Yakovenko, said during a press conference on Friday.

    ------------------------------------------

    More from Fort Russ News:
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated:

"Based on the results of the investigation, traces of the toxic chemical BZ and its precursors, related to chemical weapons of the second category under the Chemical Weapons Convention, were found in the samples. BZ is a nerve gas that temporarily puts a person out of action. The effect is achieved within 30-50 minutes and lasts for up to four days."

Police officers are preparing the material while the OPCW (Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) inspectors are working on the incident surrounding former Russian agent Sergei Skripal in Salisbury.

"Of course, if the OPCW rejects the findings of the Spiez Laboratory, it will be interesting to hear the explanations," said the Foreign Minister.

Previously, OPCW experts found that the Skripal poisoning used a high purity, toxic chemical, but did not say who was behind the incident.
    SOTT Comment:
Oops, slight flaw in the Russia-did-it conspiracy theory there.

From the description of its effects, it sounds like a match for the Skripals' condition: 'temporarily put out of action'.

The Western media is deathly silent about this inconvenient fact.
