Somewhere in the midst of this, are, I am certain, multiple strands and not one over-riding agenda at play. However getting back a little to the most likely candidate for the source of whatever this nerve agent actually was that was used here, the interesting Corbett Report (Episode 192 - 2011) that I referred to above, here: http://projectavalon.net/forum4/show...=1#post1216697 (with thanks again to Cidersomerset for the thread from where I found it) does steer viewers or listeners towards the end to a film called 'Anthrax War', that I haven't admittedly seen yet, but may cast further light I imagine on what ever is actually going on at that facility.

If Dr. David Kelly was 'offed' because, as he was suggesting very strongly in the weeks before his untimely demise, he wanted a book written, and was in no uncertain terms strongly advised against doing so, there is at least a possibility that, and this is only a maybe mind, Sergei may have been privy to what was going on there as well, given his previous intelligence background, and, proximity to this facility.

Here's the snip from the end of the Corbett Report podcast that refers to the 'Anthrax War' film and speculative, yet compellingly plausible reasoning behind DD's demise: (Words that leap out here are "..international germ warfare".)

Whatever the case may be, the Establishment has its fingerprints all over this Skripal affair, whether this was effected, as I suspect, by rogue shadow-government operatives or willing 'surface' operatives remains moot of course.

Spy poisoning: Nato expels Russian diplomats
    25 minutes ago

Nato is expelling seven Russian diplomats in response to a
nerve agent attack in the UK.The international security
organisation's chief said the move would send a message to
Russia that there are "costs and consequences" for its behaviour.

Twenty-five countries have expelled Russian envoys in the last
two days, in solidarity with the UK.They all believe Russia was
behind the poisoning of two people in Salisbury. Russian ex-spy
Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, were poisoned on 4 March
in Salisbury, southern England, and investigators believe a
military-grade nerve agent was used. Russian has denied involvement.

Speaking in Brussels, Nato chief Jens Stoltenberg said he would also
deny pending accreditation for three Russian staff, and would reduce
the size of Russia's mission from 30 to 20. Earlier, Russia accused the
US of pressuring other countries to join the mass expulsion of its diplomats.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused Washington of "colossal blackmail"
and said there were "few independent countries" left in modern Europe.

A short summery of the basic agenda ......

No Evidence Required: Manufacturing Lies and Deception in the Quest for War

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMM9l6e0bHI
Newsbud ...Published on 26 Mar 2018

Ever since 9/11 and the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, the state has increasingly
passed off falsification and lies as truth. Prior to that event, the state peddled
lies—from the sinking of the Maine to the Gulf of Tonkin, to name but two—and
over the last decade and a half it has used this tactic with increasing frequency. On
March 4, a former Russian spy and double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter
were apparently poisoned and found catatonic on a bench in the British city of
Salisbury. Prime Minister Theresa May accused Vladimir Putin and the Russians.
She did this without sufficient evidence and before an investigation of the incident.
United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley not only blamed Russia for the poisoning,
she also linked it to alleged chemical attacks in Syria, again without evidence. The
Russian blame game has now gone into overdrive and in the process moved the
world closer to a war between nuclear super powers. The new standard is no
evidence. None is offered and none required. The propaganda media reports false
flags and fabricated events as fact and the people either believe or they don’t—it
doesn’t matter to the state, it uses propaganda to justify sanctions and other acts
of war. It no longer bothers to engineer believable false flag events.

Hilarious and sad propaganda from the US state dept which was just as bad under
Obama with clueless bimbos parroting from the Pulpit. America is safe with 60
less spies. If this is the case why did they not expel them a decade ago ? or better
still expel all their diplomats for that matter. What she should say is this is a political
decision made in conjunction with the UK and their allies to punish Putin because
the UK thinks it highly likely that the Russians sanctioned the poisoning in Salisbury.

Spy poisoning: Highest amount of nerve agent was on door

    10 minutes ago..28/3/18

A Russian ex-spy and his daughter, who were poisoned by a
nerve agent, first came into contact with the substance at
their home, police have said. Sergei Skripal and his daughter
Yulia were found collapsed on a bench in Salisbury on 4 March
and remain in a critical condition in hospital.

Counter terrorism police said their efforts were focussed around
the Skripal's address in the city. The risk to neighbours living
near the Skripal's remains low. Specialists identified the highest
concentration of the nerve agent, to date, at the front door of
the Skripal's house, police said in a statement. The Metropolitan
Police said it wanted to reassure the public that searches around
    the Skripal's neighbourhood were precautionary.

About 250 counter terrorism officers continue to work on the case.

Long detailed and thoroughly researched article at SouthFront by Dilyana Gaytandzhieva who is the journalist that uncovered the trail of shipping arms from various Eastern European states to Syria. She has been doing investigative work into the biological weapons programs of the US military.

Quote Salisbury Nerve Agent Attack Reveals $70 Million Pentagon Program At Porton Down
By Dilyana Gaytandzhieva exclusively for SouthFront

    Twitter/@dgaytandzhieva

The Pentagon has spent at least $70 million on military experiments involving tests with deadly viruses and chemical agents at Porton Down – the UK military laboratory near the city of Salisbury. The secretive biological and chemical research facility is located just 13 km from where on 4th March former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were found slumped on a bench following an alleged Novichok nerve agent poisoning.

Information obtained from the US federal contracts registry reveals that the Pentagon’s Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has funded a number of military projects performed at the UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL), or Porton Down, over the last decade. Among them: experimental respiratory infection of non-human primates (marmosets) with Anthrax, Ebola virus, Marburg virus, Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus, Western equine encephalitis virus, and Eastern equine encephalitis virus. The US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has also funded experiments on animals which were exposed to chemical agents such as Sulfur Mustard and Phosgene gas. Phosgene gas was used as a chemical weapon during World War I where it was responsible for about 85 % of the 100,000 deaths caused by chemical weapons.

DTRA has also been granted full access to DSTL scientific and technical capabilities, and test data under a 2011 contract for the collaboration and exchange of scientific and technical capabilities with the UK Ministry of Defence.

Goes on in a very detailed review including excerpts from documents from Freedom of Information requests and other government sources..... very good, detailed reporting and much too long to post here.

    ==========

And, here is Nafeez Ahmed, another good independent journalist. He interviewed a former head of OPCW:

Quote Former OPCW official: no conclusive proof of Russian complicity in Salisbury attack
But Russia’s denial of past ‘Novichok’ programmes is misleading

    Nafeez Ahmed Mar 27
    • Nerve agent found in Salisbury does not conclusively prove Russian complicity
    • Russia’s denial of a Novichok programme is true but misleading — a secret nerve agent programme to create Novichok-type agents was run under a different name
    • Western states have extensively researched and synthesized the Novichok class of agents
    • Novichok was most recently synthesized by Iran, details of which were provided to the OPCW

Russian Novichok stockpiles were destroyed in the 1990s, but it is theoretically possible that some capability still exists, though no evidence for this is available
The US and its European allies have coordinated the largest collective expulsion of Russian diplomats in history. Russia has promised to retaliate in kind. Yet despite the sense of certainty around Russian culpability in the Salisbury incident, questions remain around the state of the available evidence.

As contradictory narratives proliferate amidst conflicting Western and Russian government statements and media reports, a clearer picture of the secret history of the nerve agent used in the Salisbury poisonings is emerging.

In an exclusive interview with INSURGE, a former senior official at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) from 1993 to 2006, Dr Ralf Trapp, said that at this stage there is no conclusive evidence that Russia was the source of the nerve agent used in Salisbury. He pointed to compelling evidence that Russia did run a secret research programme to create Novichok-type nerve agents — and strongly criticised Russia’s denials of that programme. While justifying grounds for suspicion, there is as yet no decisive proof that Russia retained such a Novichok programme or capability today, he said.

Continues on with a detailed review and other sources and experts quoted and interviewed. Another good, detailed investigative report.

    ==========

And here is Joe Quinn, of Sott.net, summarising the latest on this:

Quote We Can Actively Assume That Skripal Was Poisoned by The British Government

By now anyone with an opinion on the Skripal poisoning has already decided if they believe the official narrative or not. Still, the event and the ongoing media coverage around it presents an opportunity to understand more than we might think.

    ...

So when we remove the unfounded and contradictory claims around the Skripal poisoning, the actual facts of the case are rather limited:
    • Skripal lived in Salisbury, England, and had been working for MI5 for 8 years. It is reasonable to assume that he may, therefore, have had access to sensitive material, possibly useful to foreign governments, including Russia. As such, he may have posed an 'intelligence threat' if he returned to Russia.
    • According to a close friend, Skripal had recently decided that he wanted to go back to live in Russia and petitioned the Russian government to that end.
    • Not long thereafter, Skripal was poisoned with a substance that was in stock at a British Ministry of Defense facility, 8 miles from where he was living.
    • The British government blamed Russia for his poisoning. This accusation must be seen in the context of a years-long anglo-American black propaganda campaign designed to marginalize Russia and thereby limit its ability to effectively assert itself as a globally influential player.
    ...

In contrast, the British government's apparent access to the precise nerve agents in question, close to where Skripal lives, their full access to Skripal himself, their past form in fabricating evidence of chemical weapons usage by other states, and their clear intent to wage a vicious and underhanded demonization campaign against Russia, all combine to allow us to actively assume that the poisoning of Skripal and his daughter was the work of the British government itself. Is it beyond a reasonable doubt? Perhaps not, but it is currently the only hypothesis that makes sense given the evidence available. And until more evidence is made available, it is the only reasonable conclusion to make.
    From here: https://www.sott.net/article/381261-...ish-Government

    ==========

Essentially, all these articles support the conclusion most readers of the alternative media have already reached that this is a set up job to blame Russia. Still, they may be useful.

I posted this in the thread on geopolitics (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/show...bout-the-world) where I am trying to collate info on geopolitical and cultural moves and strategy.... (tall order I know)....

Anyway, it seems relevant here as context for the Skripal situation:

    Quote Posted by Searcher (here)
...Thierry Meyssan’s... view on British foreign policy under Theresa May.

The summary is in the first paragraph:
    • ”The United Kingdom intends to re-establish its Empire (Global Britain) by
    • ”promoting international free exchange with the help of China [2] and
    • ejecting Russia from international instances with the help of its military allies – the United States, France, Germany, Jordan and Saudi Arabia”

And again, further down the article, there is the current focus:
    • “the promotion of international free exchange, but exclusively in the thalassocratic context, in other words with the United States against the Chinese communication routes;
    • ”and the attempt to exclude Russia from the Security Council and cut the world in two, which implies the on-going manipulation with chemical weapons in Syria, and the Skripal affair.”

    Quote Theresa May’s Foreign Policy
    by Thierry Meyssan

    Global Britain

On 13 November last, Theresa May seized the opportunity offered by the Prime Minister’s annual speech at Lord Mayor’s Banquet to give an overview of the new British strategy after the Brexit [1]. The United Kingdom intends to re-establish its Empire (Global Britain) by promoting international free exchange with the help of China [2] and ejecting Russia from international instances with the help of its military allies – the United States, France, Germany, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

Retrospectively, all the elements we can see today were mentioned in this speech, even if we didn’t immediately understand it at the time.

    ...

NATO denounced Russia’s desire to weaken the cohesion of the Alliance in order to threaten it more easily.

However, a British expert, Chris Donnelly, has since refined this rhetoric. In order to weaken the West, Russia is allegedly attempting to delegitimise its economic and social system, the foundation for its military power. That would be the hidden motive behind Russian criticism, particularly in the media. ...

I believe that Donnelly is correct in his analysis, and that Russia is correct in its objective. Indeed, the United Kingdom and Russia are two diametrically opposite cultures.

    ...

Two months after her speech at the Lord Mayor’s Banquet, on 22 January 2018, Her Majesty’s Chief of Staff, General Sir Nick Carter, gave a very important speech which was entirely dedicated to the coming war with Russia, based on Donnelly’s theory [5]. Drawing the lessons from the Syrian experience, he described an enemy who possesses new, extremely powerful weaponry. (This was two months before President Putin revealed his new nuclear arsenal [6]). Sir Nick Carter confirmed the necessity of having many more ground troops, of developing the British arsenal, and of preparing for a war in which the images broadcast by the medias would be more important than victory on the ground.

The day after this shock conference at the Royal United Services Institute (the Defence think tank), the National Security Council announced the creation of a military unit to combat « Russian propaganda » [7].

    ...
    • The announced military Alliance was constituted in the form of the very secret « Little Group » [10]. Germany was weathering a government crisis at the time and did not participate at first, but it seems that this late start was rectified at the beginning of March. All the members of this conspiracy coordinated their actions in Syria. Despite their efforts, they failed three times to organise a false-flag chemical attack in Western Ghouta, since the Syrian and Russian armies had seized their laboratories in Aftris and Chifonya [11]. However, they did manage to publish a common anti-Russian statement concerning the Skripal affair [12] and to mobilise both NATO [13] and the European Union against Russia [14].

    ...

In any case, Global Britain today may be defined as follows :
    • the promotion of international free exchange, but exclusively in the thalassocratic context, in other words with the United States against the Chinese communication routes;
    • and the attempt to exclude Russia from the Security Council and cut the world in two, which implies the on-going manipulation with chemical weapons in Syria, and the Skripal affair.
    ...
    From here: http://www.voltairenet.org/article200375.html
Thalassocratic = Sea / Maritime empire. See here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thalassocracy

Apologies if this seems somewhat disjointed, I only kept the pieces that seemed more relevant in this thread.... the original article has more cogency.

I really dont get that for several reasons.
I would assume that nerve agents work fairly rapidly -- so how come they went all the way into town did various things then ended up ill on the park bench.
Assisins are normally efficient--puting the agent on the door handle of their house seems very ineficient--anyone could have been poisoned by it and how many people needed to close a door. Only one needed to touch the handle to lock up--two obviously became ill at aproximately the same time--infection can spreadbut there would surely have been a time delay between first infected and next infected.

Politics just another word for hypocrisy.

French “supercop” Paul Barril interviewed about anti-Russian false flag operations

Litvinenko, Berezovky, Skripal ... CIA, MI6 False flags to blame Russia

The Truth Is From God Published on Mar 15, 2018

Retired French GIGN officer Paul Barill says he not only knows how Alexander Litvinenko was assassinated, but his handler exiled tycoon Boris Berezovsky was killed to keep him quiet.

The operation's name is Beluga, and its purpose is to blame Russia. Since Russia is harming the western plan in Syria and in many other cases, the western secret services try to discredit Russia by blaming it for crimes that are false flag assassinations. False flag assassinations made by the western secret services and blamed on Russia.

Don't be deceived by the mass media and by the western propaganda, behind almost every big case, there is a lie, a huge lie, which is 100% opposed to the reality.

Wake up! use your own discernment, make your own search, investigate all the different views .... and come to your own conclusions.

Recently, the case of the former FSB agent Skripal, murdered in UK and blamed on Russia is the continuation of this operation, and illustrates the secret moves of the western forces to counter Russia

What Paul Barril stated is basically well known (but not all the details). Those Russians who died in England were sacrificed in order to discredit President Putin. Many analysts on the Internet came to that conclusion. As for this latest false flag attack in England, where ostensibly military nerve gas was used (of all things), it is interesting that information is now coming out that Sergei Skripal had petitioned President Putin for a pardon, as he wanted to return to Russia. If true, then somebody had an interest in preventing this.

As for Russians living in England, a number of them had fled there after getting dishonestly rich during the Yeltsin years, when Russia was plundered by foreign corporations, banks and domestic oligarchs. They yearn for those years, when they got quickly rich. And of course they oppose Putin. The West is counting on them as a potential political Trojan Horse. It wont work. Nobody in Russia can forget the Yeltsin years, and ordinary people do not want to see a return to those times, which explains Putin’s popularity.

    .

I will not state, here, on an open forum, as to how I know. Sorry for sounding very "cloak-and-dagger-ish", it's just the way it is.

I've just returned from a trip to the UK to tie-up some other loose-ends regarding another commonly perceived 'story' that relates to German Intelligence, and specifically an incident that took place on a May night in 1941, in which a BF110-E and my Grandfather were involved, that has direct links to what we see happening today. I will state that again: Direct links to what we see happening today, in both a Geo-Political sense and what happened to the Skripals.

I do not 'piggy-back' others research and then state it as fact, if I am stating something as fact, then it is, as to the best of my knowledge, a fact, a fact gleaned from face-to-face conversation(s), documented proof and the aligning and correlation of many other agreed-upon facts. Unfortunately, in this case, I cannot show these, hence my post is not naming names and explaining deeper understandings of what we see happening here.

I can state this, because as you will come to see the deception is extremely cleverly thought-out. When further information becomes public (or more widely known, not necessarily 'public') it will be 'shown' that the injuries and toxic effects that the Skripals displayed (I do not expect them to live, but concede I will/may be proven wrong on this point) will be the same as the many victims of the 2002 Nord-Ost Siege in Dubrovka where Fentanyl grenades were used by an SOBR unit, further 'proving' a Russian link. CARFENTANIL is 10,000 times more potent than Fentanyl, but the dosing is extremely difficult, especially in 'open-air'.

Except, this attack on the unfortunate victims, the Skripals, has absolutely nothing to do with the Russian Government, Nation, nor any of it's actors, state or otherwise.

Read this post, disregard it and forget about it. But further down the line, when further crumbs are amassed...........

This, in time, will come to pass.

    Well, quite.

Had a conversation with an older gentleman in the local pub on Tuesday night and he told me an interesting tale of his experience with Russian nationals in London somewhat back in the day; this could have been back in the 1960s I think. He was a businessman who had also established some quite famous associations within the upper, and lower (!) echelons, from various cultures, within the society of its time.

In short he provided a little insight into a certain Russian 'style'; said that the Russians would always go about their business very discreetly and would never draw attention to themselves - it is a 'way', part of a certain culture they seem to exhibit.

Given that it is unlikely, I would have thought, that there would have been a tectonic shift in cultural behaviour and way of doing things, even after 50 or so years, one is inclined to think it extraordinarily unlikely maybe just simply based on that, that this would have been a Russian MO za tvajo zdarovje!!

As soon as the media started reporting it was likely a Russian attack on foreign soil, within 24 hrs of the news breaking, it was fairly obvious that this was disinformation - or plainly speaking, outright lies.

There will likely have been many previous examples but the first major one that comes to mind was 9/11, the next major was the the Iraq WMD. Similar stories were printed in the press prior to the outbreak of the Boer war, which was desired by a mere handful of powerful people.

This is the way of our world and the fact that so many continue to swallow the bull that gets printed/aired in our media outlets is the most crushing to hope/spirit - I speak as an individual there.

Russia has expelled 60 US diplomats and closed the country's St Petersburg
consulate in a tit-for-tat response to US action over a spy poisoning case in the UK.

The moves were announced by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

It comes amid a row over the nerve agent attack on a former Russian spy
and his daughter in southern England.Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia
were found unconscious on a bench in the city of Salisbury on 4 March.
More than 20 countries have expelled Russian envoys, in solidarity with the
UK, which has blamed Moscow for the attack.Russia has vehemently denied
any role. Mr Skripal remains in a critical but stable condition. His daughter's
condition is said to be improving.
