You would, it seems, obviously know better and I respect that.

I merely like that he saw the threat to the dilution of Hungary and the burden it would have created for the Hungarian people. I never claimed he was a saint, nor do I believe he is. Anti-Soros is also a good thing, no?
He's certainly better than any of the current alternatives, just don't make the mistake of thinking he's some anti-globalist saviour who is going to bring the cabal down. I don't believe that for a second. I must admit though, he has been good for Hungary, the country is booming and seems to be undergoing a full revival and reblossoming. As for Soros, I don't believe he is some evil James Bond Villain, like many people do. As a Hungarian and American double citizen, he has every right to promote liberal and globalist causes in these countries. His activities elsewhere are often illegal though, since he is effectively a foreign agent. I'm not a huge fan, but that's what you get if you are a billionaire, you get to spend your money on whatever you like, even if you make a lot of enemies in the process.

Could be stirrings of 1789, might be an idea for the french people to parade some paper mache guillotines in front of parliament.
At least the French already have a republic, as bastardized as it may be.

I was kind of hoping that the English would finally find the resolve to abandon their own medieval institution. "Figurehead" my ass. The witch at Buckingham is a global problem and her crown is fully hereditary.

And the House of Lords? ...

Here is Viktor Orban's plan for a post-globalist Europe!!!

    Description:
In a post globalist Europe, every european nation:

    1. Has the right to defend it's christian culture and reject the ideology of multiculturalism.

    2. Has the right to a traditional family.

    3. The right to economic nationalism, which is a right for every european nation to defend it's economic markets which are of crucial importance to it.

    4. The right of every European nation to defend and secure it's borders.

    5. The right of every European to insist on deciding the fate of their nation to the exclusion of anybody else. In this case for example the globalist, Brussels based EU and NGO's.

Perhaps you feel better calling them incredibly large numbers of friendly, feces-flinging guests.

And just so we are clear that this feces-flinging is not hyperbole, but reality:

Quote VIDEO: Hundreds Of African Migrants Armed With Flamethrowers And Feces Storm Spanish Border, Injure Law Enforcement

Early Thursday morning, some 800 sub-Saharan migrants armed with flamethrowers, Molotov cocktails, mallets, shears, and plastic containers filled with feces stormed a Spanish border fence, violently clashing with law enforcement.

At least 15 Civil Guard officers suffered injuries, five of whom were transferred to a local hospital, according to a report from Spain's Civil Guard. "Molotov cocktails have also been recovered, as have bags of hashish," the report added.

More than 600 of the migrants successfully crossed the Spanish-Moroccan border fence into Ceuta, a Spanish autonomous city along the coast of North Africa.

The grandkids of modern Europeans, if they even have any, aren't going to look back on this with fond memories about how great their grandparents were. They're going to be facing severe problems in their own countries for generations thanks to this. People should be ashamed of themselves.

No it's not. It's a very disturbing trend.

It also doesn't improve matters having Bannon here in Belgium now on a mission to help European populist factions achieve "better" results. full article 1 full article 2

Several European countries are showing the same disturbing trend:
normalising intolerance against people with so much as a foreign appearance.

This isn't an anomaly. This is normal in "multi-cultural" societies.

The people who told you "diversity is our strength" sold you a pile of crap. Multiple competing cultures cannot peacefully co-exist within the same confined space.

And culture is more than appearance. It is far deeper than skin color. It is worldview, religion, morality, attitudes towards others. You ignore all of these differences, either pretending they don't exist or that they will somehow go away even as you cater to them. It's going to be your own culture that goes away, or theirs, but the two cannot peacefully co-exist. This is why borders exist in the first place, and have since time immemorial.

I fully believe that one reason the EU agreed to this nonsense is so that when this violence erupted (as it inevitably would -- eventually even the most passive and soy-boy of Europeans get tired of being beaten and raped by Muslim radicals in their own country, etc.) they could then project this artificial idea of a pan-European culture to created a United States of Europe.

I hear this rhetoric everyday, apart from the last paragraph's United States of Europe.

Eventually, diverse people will also get fed up with being attacked, assaulted, treated like second-class citizens and not having the assurance their wives and daughters are safe (July 2018, article).

Are you suggesting that the thousands of children being gang raped by Muslim men across Europe is nothing but rhetoric?

Your article doesn’t say anything about the ethnicity of the assailants. I’ve seen articles in the U.K. where they’ve tried to pull at the ‘diversity’ and ‘tolerance’ heart-strings, only for it to emerge that it was actually immigrants committing crimes against their own kin that they were trying to make us have sympathy for.

If you demonstrated the same moral outrage for European women being gang raped, that you do for a woman having a hijab pulled off, then your rhetoric might be taken more seriously. The reason people like Bannon and Orban are growing in popularity—and the liberal left is spiralling into a decay of insignificance—is precisely because of this hypocrisy of one-sided moral outrage. Whenever an immigrant commits a crime, the rhetoric of the left is for everyone to be accepting and forgiving—“For the good of diversity”—we’re expected to just shut up and tolerate it.

Whenever a European commits a crime, it’s suddenly ‘Hitler, Fascists, Far-Right thugs’.

Is the following culture really compatible with European values:

Pregnant Goat dies after being gang raped by 8 men

The problem with the ‘loony left’ is that anything further right than Karl Marx gets labelled ‘Far-Right’, which is why that phrase no longer has any influence. People just aren’t buying the rhetoric of hypocrisy anymore. And it’s not a worrying far-right trend as naive people might suggest. Dr Steve Turley’s videos, shared by BMJ above, describes the issues with great eloquence. It’s a trend that’s primarily emerging from the conservative centre. There’s always going to be some far-right, intolerant, buffoons who take things a step too far — BUT Bannons ‘The Movement’ is primarily targeted at grounded, rational, sane people — people who have had enough of the absurdly destructive policies of the ‘loony left’ and want things to settle down to something that resembles stability again.

If the loony left didn’t want a culture war, they shouldn’t have tried to start one by opening European borders to millions of diverse people who have no interest in tolerating European values.

Your inability to address the concerns and points raised by others is precisely why the liberal left is going the way of the dodo in Europe right now. Being so morally superior as to have ones head in the clouds doesn’t grant one a superior perspective, it just inhibits your ability to truly recognise what’s happening at the ground level.

This was just in the news a few days ago too:

Quote Hungary to stop financing gender studies courses: PM aide

(Reuters) - Hungary's government will stop financing gender studies university courses, Prime Minister Viktor Orban's chief of staff said on Tuesday, marking one of the first concrete steps in a cultural shift signaled last month.

Re-elected in April to a third consecutive term, right-wing nationalist Orban said in July that major cultural and intellectual changes were in the works, adding that his landslide victory was "nothing short of a mandate to build a new era".

Chief of staff Gergely Gulyas cited low enrolment numbers, which he said would be reason enough alone to shut down the courses, but also spelled out the government's ideological opposition at a news conference.

"The Hungarian government is of the clear view that people are born either men or women. They lead their lives the way they think best, but beyond this, the Hungarian state does not wish to spend public funds on education in this area," he said.

Orban's supporters want a shift towards conservative values to end what they call a dominance of leftists and liberals in the arts, science and education.
    https://mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUSKBN1KZ1M0

    And this, from August 13th:

    Quote 'No submission to Islam'

Victor Orban outlines explicitly conservative goals for Hungary

BUDAPEST — No European head of government talks remotely like Hungary’s Prime Minister Victor Orban. For example, he recently spoke of building in Hungary a “constitutional order based on national and Christian foundations,” thereby avoiding a future in which “the whole of Europe has submitted to Islam.”

That, in brief, is the disruption caused by Mr. Orban, 55, and his Fidesz party. He outlines explicitly conservative (or in his terminology, “illiberal”) goals that defends “the ways of life springing from Christian culture” and rejects Muslim influence. By doing so, Mr. Orban has undermined a continent-wide consensus and encouraged voters in Poland, Austria, Italy and Germany to resist further uncontrolled migration.

Of course, Western media respond to this presumption with relentless criticism. Some is deserved, such as the government’s take over of nearly all media, its pressure on hostile NGOs, its encroachments on judicial independence, its corruption and its pro-Putin policies. One interlocutor during my recent visit to Hungary alarmingly compared Fidesz’ deep reach into society with that of the Communist party during the Soviet era (1944-89).

But other criticisms against the government are exaggerated or unfair. Yes, local Jews complain of increased hostility, but anti-Semitic incidents have declined and Hungary is the safest place in Europe in public for observant Jews. Mr. Orban sensibly argues that allowing in large numbers of anti-Semitic Muslim migrants is the real threat to Jews. His intense attacks on George Soros, an anti-Zionist and questionable Jew, are no more anti-Semitic than those of, say, David Horowitz or Black Cube. Hungary has Europe’s best relations with Israel.
    https://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2...sion-to-islam/

Seems like a pretty even-handed article from the Washington Times.

And Soros' NGOs will be leaving Hungary very soon, if they haven't left already:

Quote Soros foundation to quit Hungary by end-August

Budapest (AFP) - The foundation run by US billionaire George Soros said Thursday that the last of its operations in Hungary would cease by August 31, with its activities being transferred to Berlin.

The Open Society Foundations (OSF) announced in May that it was leaving Hungary, citing what it called the "repressive" policies of nationalist firebrand Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

"There are still some colleagues working here in the office, but we will have closed for good by 31 August," the OSF spokesman in Budapest Daniel Makonnen told AFP.

No you should not be surprised, it is what makes this place exceptional. And in case you thought the turn of phrase was accidental - it was not. It is exactly the words and the tone I wished to convey. I see it worked...(coulda spelled it right, I guess, to better effect)

Default Re: Congratulations to Viktor Orban on a massive Hungarian re-election victory

The EU seeks to envoke article 7 in an effort to sanction Hungary for non compliance of EU dictates.

In response Victor Orban makes it clear that Hungary will always act in the best interest of Hungary regardless of EU demands.

In the second video good old Nigel Farage suggest Viktor should join the "Brexit club".

    Interesting to note:
The root of the two words in his name, or and ban, in English, translates directly as: in the nose. But when translated correctly considering cultural phraseology, it translates as: on the nose...
    If not now, then when?
