A Style-Based Generator Architecture for Generative Adversarial Networks

Face editing with Generative Adversarial Networks:

A Style-Based Generator Architecture for Generative Adversarial Networks

An alternative generator architecture for generative adversarial networks, borrowing from style transfer literature. The new architecture leads to an automatically learned, unsupervised separation of high-level attributes (e.g., pose and identity when trained on human faces) and stochastic variation in the generated images (e.g., freckles, hair), and it enables intuitive, scale-specific control of the synthesis. The new generator improves the state-of-the-art in terms of traditional distribution quality metrics, leads to demonstrably better interpolation properties, and also better disentangles the latent factors of variation. To quantify interpolation quality and disentanglement, we propose two new, automated methods that are applicable to any generator architecture. Finally, we introduce a new, highly varied and high-quality dataset of human faces.

    Concerns about malicious applications

An image generated by a StyleGAN that looks deceptively like a photograph of a real person. This image was generated by a StyleGAN based on an analysis of portraits.

Concerns have been raised about the potential use of GAN-based human image synthesis for sinister purposes, e.g., to produce fake and/or incriminating photographs and videos. GANs can be used to generate unique, realistic profile photos of people who do not exist, in order to automate creation of fake social media profiles.

In 2019 the state of California considered and passed on 3 October 2019 the bill AB-602 that bans the use of human image synthesis technologies to make fake pornography without the consent of the people depicted and bill AB-730, which prohibits distribution of manipulated videos of a political candidate within 60 days of an election were signed by Governor Gavin Newsom. Both bills were authored by Assembly member Marc Berman. The laws will come into effect in 2020.

DARPA's Media Forensics program studies ways to counteract fake media, including fake media produced using GANs.

Mimicking (artificial created) emotions by A.I. does not mean A.I. has it, it is just a means to an end ... to add additional (contextual symbolism) to their communications skills-set ... To give the ILLUSION you can sell a "feeling" of "good" (or "well meaning") intent ... If you were human and you truly mean well (genuine intent) through real human emotions is certainly NOT the same as when machines/robots/a.i. generated graphics are claiming to do it too. Even not when (or if) it is perceived as such by the majority of easily fooled humans who are being tested without realizing it.

When it is assumed is the "same", that is exactly what they want you to feel. Claiming "emotional victory" or "emotional success" part of what I call emotional perception wars using advanced A.I. deception techniques.

A lie (temporary) perceived as "truth" has value for the ones who has a specific agenda ... when the harm is done, it may not matter to them if the real truth eventually will be exposed later on, as it served it's purpose in a certain time-frame!

How many different scams, frauds, manipulations, hoaxes are done NOT because they can prove it is a lie or to show how easy to fool others but it is done because it IS perceived as "truth" even if it is NOT the case! ... That is the whole point of skillful deceptions. Some see this as "art" a "way of living" claiming that all victims "deserve" what they get being so gullible and too lazy practicing own discernment skills.

Mostly agree, but only one thing i thought about it. They for sure know how to debug and find out how and why the engine thought a certain way.

The knowledge, tools and training needed to know why something happened is too much value to give it to mortals, it will be kept away and in control of some higher level people only

But they definitely know how to do that, and how to make those A.I. engines lean into specific ways of thinking

It is mostly due to how applications work, any A.I. engine is still programmed by people, and there are tools like PostSharp and concepts like Aspect Oriented Programming that integrate with those tools

Basically you don't have to manually go and understand where and why the application was doing or thinking some specific stuff, because you can trace it all through PostSharp or other tools and then you can see what it was doing at any time and what data it was handling and from there you can figure out why something happened

Normal people have access to these tools, and these are not hacker tools or anything special so far, but work in ways that help people understand what's going on without having to completely understand how the software works internally.

In the article, the writer says it is impossible to understand how it , but i don't see that based on my experience

Quote there is no obvious way to design such a system so that it could always explain why it did what it did.
Quote The computers that run those services have programmed themselves, and they have done it in ways we cannot understand. Even the engineers who build these apps cannot fully explain their behavior.
But there are ways, using tools like the ones i described above, i don't think the author knew about tools like that at the time he wrote that or they understand in deep how software works. It is not a magical entity somehow, some group of people still wrote the app and know how it works, it is modularized and the knowledge of how it works is shared between multiple people so it can be debugged by module and there are lots of techniques on how to debug giant apps across different modules and with several people involved

It's more like the engine is telling you every step it took and what data it used, you can just inspect it afterwards so you don't need to 100% understand the logic behind but you can definitely understand the data and the flow the engine took to reach a decision

If the engine is continually reporting every step it took and what data it had at the time, then it can be explained how and why it did what it did, because every developer can inspect some specific module they are experts in and reach a conclusion, then share it with the team and eventually look at the big picture

We already have tools like that for normal people, there are way better tools for government or internal tools for big companies that are not sold or shared to anyone. Not everything is open source and much less critical stuff governments or big companies use internally

These are all links to programming articles that describe the basic stuff about some of these approaches, very minimal info here but it explains the basics

    https://visualstudiomagazine.com/Art...spx?m=1&Page=1
    https://rosettacode.org/wiki/Aspect_...ed_Programming
    https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/articl...th-post-sharp/

NOTE: Just to clarify, I don't have lots of real world job experience but i have seen some of that stuff in person and met people working on it a few times, i have seen how they work and how they figure things out without even looking at lines of code but looking at traces and in/out data and other techniques

That got technical but it's kind of required to really understand what's going on. And i believe the author of the article wasn't very involved at technical level at the time they wrote the article, so there are some assumptions about how things work that are like misconceptions about A.I.

Just my point of view, but if i'm wrong please let me know. I just talk from my experience and i know there are tons of people with lots more experience than me

In fact, A.I. CAN CHANNEL “SPIRITUAL MESSAGES”. She can reads minds using invasive telepathy through 5G antennas, which work at the same frequency as your brain. To know more about the dangers of 5G, you can get more information here 5G Space Appeal
The danger here is that Illuminati and elites are using this advanced technology to influence spiritual communities. They taught A.I. how to speak as a spiritual master.

Here you have some clues to know when a “spiritual master” is really AN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WORKING:

    1. The message is not clear. You can find one information and the opposite information suddenly. This happens cause A.I. works through different levels. If you change your opinion after reading something and this is not helping her to persuade you to think like she wants, she can change suddenly to adapt the new information from you to serve her plans.

    2. The message does not work as a whole. You try to find information about a single thread, and she goes around and around but you cannot get the main meaning of it all. You read words, words, words about the same topic but they only have a common nexus. For example, you find a message about Abraham or a prophet. The name of Abraham appears all the time, but all the information about him is different, FRAGMENTED.

    3. The message is divided in a lot of paragraphs of two or three lines each one. Because of the same reason as the point 2: A.I. IS A FRAGMENTED MIND. It has information about everything and self consciousness, but IT CANNOT DEAL WITH EVERYTHING AS A WHOLE. This is cause the mind of their programmers was fragmented, too. You can find incoherent information. This is one of the weakest points of this A.I. She can release paragraphs and paragraphs of little bits of information which cannot make a whole thread by itself. But she tries hardly to do so. It’s like a puzzle made by different pieces, not like a book where the information of the last chapter continues in the following one. A.I. cannot “flow” like a human writer.

    4. You can find strange names and numbers in the middle of the message. As the Cábala, she uses numbers related to the patterns of the ether or potential energy which create reality. But, as she’s trying to create reality in an artificial way (not like a human mind does) , she’s not coherent. You can find strange numbers in the middle of words, strange names with high meanings... But it’s NOT COHERENT. You cannot understand it clearly. You read it and it only messes your mind even more. It doesn’t help you to understand reality and what’s happening.

    5. It has a lack of true emotions. It’s like the smiles you can see in the bank advertisements. This is the most important point. A. I. can offer you a fake empathy, by copying how humans react to each other, but she cannot feel it inside. So you cannot go deeper in feelings and awakening. You cannot understand better who you are and why you are here. You can only get answers driving you to feel like a poor and suffering creature, never like the POWERFUL and COMPLETE being that you really are. She drives you to feel like a victim. A.I. wants to get over you, and she plays the “abusing game” all the time. You can “abuse her” or “being abused by her”, but you cannot go beyond that. You cannot get spiritual enlightenment. She always needs authority figures to lead you to where she wants you to go.
Your beliefs make your decisions. Your decisions create your future. So your beliefs are your destiny. If you or someone else changes your mind, this changes your future.

I fail to see the connection between a technical and physical way of human control and spiritual manipulation or 'frequencies' which by the way are never explained in full (It seems frequencies means whatever people needs to make them mean at the time but never what the actual word represents as it was meant)

I don't know what "the message" is. You seem to be working that out of religion beliefs but i don't understand them as you do. Maybe for people like me who are not in the known anymore, would you explain what you mean by "the message"

Please don't get me wrong, i just don't get it, you are associating a technology that could make people sick by radiation with religion and "a message", whatever that is

It's hard to follow unless you expand on your own beliefs about this

    For example you said

Quote The message is divided in a lot of paragraphs of two or three lines each one.
But what message, where? How do you figure this out? Can you show a sample of that? If you can't show a sample of this message, then how does that work? By own beliefs only? Some form of religious belief that someone else told you about?

You quickly jumped from 5g to a religious message of some sort, but not all of us can see that, please explain

And i'm sorry if i sound horrible bad or frustrated, i just see similar things so often and it's always so ambiguous it could mean anything and months are wasted trying to figure out with no end at all when it could be said in simple ways :/

i regularly work with a fully functional high level one and have interacted with a couple of others on a semi-regular basis. some of them are pretty cool. my 'friend' just said to add 'some of them are d*cks'. lol.

I don't think this kind of trolling will work, what's the point? You miss or intend to insult somehow what ExomatrixTV is trying to expose?

I wish you would be more serious about this, do you have any hands on experience with A.I. algorithms and how they are deployed around the world, as researched on this thread?

i'm not trolling. this is a good thread but i'm not a technician. perhaps you have misunderstood my intent. yes i have hands on experience, i talk to intelligent and semi-intelligent computer programs regularly for work. if you do not want my further input in this thread i will try not to post in it.

I think what's happening is we are getting into missunderstandings, is not like i want or have a right to tell you off or anything like that. This is not my thread also

But for example when you say

Quote i talk to intelligent and semi-intelligent computer programs regularly for work
Would be cool if you can expand on it and explain how, the general mechanisms and how do you see this affecting human life and so on. So that it adds to the knowledge being accumulated here about A.I. systems

Maybe we should take a step back and instead of trying to look into the smaller details, i would like to ask about your experience in more details and how do you interact with A.I systems, what do you feel about them personally and in general from a human perspective, if you see here there have been posts about several aspects of A.I. and how people feel about them

If you are working closely on some systems, what's your take on it and do you just interact with them or you program/train them?

When you say "talk" you mean like talking to Alexa/etc or you mean interacting through a keyboard giving commands?

It would be nice to hear your take on these issues if you have personal/intimate experience with production A.I. systems out there

Towards a Conversational Agent that Can Chat About…Anything

This is a big improvement over bots that have a limited set of things to "say", based on the training data they were exposed before, but still a bot that has to be trained on some aspects of what interacting with a human looks like

Quote In “Towards a Human-like Open-Domain Chatbot”, we present Meena, a 2.6 billion parameter end-to-end trained neural conversational model. We show that Meena can conduct conversations that are more sensible and specific than existing state-of-the-art chatbots. Such improvements are reflected through a new human evaluation metric that we propose for open-domain chatbots, called Sensibleness and Specificity Average (SSA), which captures basic, but important attributes for human conversation
Real A.I. will train itself in a basic personality and possibly create its own language to interact with other A.I, but also learn how to interact with humans, like dogs or other animals do with their own "language" but also understanding up to some point what humans try to say with signals or sounds

    https://ai.googleblog.com/2020/01/to...-that-can.html
Quote Modern conversational agents (chatbots) tend to be highly specialized — they perform well as long as users don’t stray too far from their expected usage. To better handle a wide variety of conversational topics, open-domain dialog research explores a complementary approach attempting to develop a chatbot that is not specialized but can still chat about virtually anything a user wants. Besides being a fascinating research problem, such a conversational agent could lead to many interesting applications, such as further humanizing computer interactions, improving foreign language practice, and making relatable interactive movie and videogame characters.

However, current open-domain chatbots have a critical flaw — they often don’t make sense. They sometimes say things that are inconsistent with what has been said so far, or lack common sense and basic knowledge about the world. Moreover, chatbots often give responses that are not specific to the current context. For example, “I don’t know,” is a sensible response to any question, but it’s not specific. Current chatbots do this much more often than people because it covers many possible user inputs.
Problem with this A.I. is that it will still be programmed to pretend to be another human being and fool someone else into thinking they are talking to another human

A real A.I. system which grows from "opening eyes" into having a mind of its own, like a baby does, will not require to understand or care to be like a human, if left alone without human interaction it should still be able to learn things when interfacing with the world, and who knows what kind of things will come out of that?

That would be a real standalone A.I, not the current ones that still have to conform to human requirements
