Westworld is back for 2nd season, for you that aren't familiar with this series:

Westworld isn't your typical amusement park. Intended for rich vacationers, the futuristic park -- which is looked after by robotic "hosts" -- allows its visitors to live out their fantasies through artificial consciousness. No matter how illicit the fantasy may be, there are no consequences for the park's guests, allowing for any wish to be indulged.

There is mind control,robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and all that can go wrong/or right. Well worth ones time.

It’s an epic show indeed! What if earth is actually a bigger version of that park and instead of smart robots they trick souls to come here to make it more realistic!

Did they trick the people into coming to the park in Westworld? No.
For the people who could afford it, it was just too interesting and attractive to pass up. (With the exception of that one guy who was talked into coming along with his friend.)

I'd wager a lot of the traffic to Earth falls into a similar category. The first trip here is probably more like someone passing by the neighborhood or hearing about it, and once they take a look, they just have to try it out for themselves. *shrug* Just one opinion though. :-)

I meant that some select few on earth know it’s a park cause they have backstage access. The rest of the masses are recycled souls who don’t know they are being used for the entertainment of the few with backstage access.

The crazy thing is that there is definitely a real answer out there!

Sounds right to me, but once we get here (or turn 30, rather) we raise our fist to God or an Aliens or an Alien AI, or the Annunaki (pick a flavour) and scream "How could you do this to me!!" -- meanwhile we all chose to do this, but you don't come here without amnesia ... lol. I'm not being sarcastic, this is probably quite true in most, if not all cases. Easier to blame anything else for any perceived "problem" -- unfortunately humans have mastered this to the point where it has become culturally encoded and passed from generation to generation ...

Westworld is almost certainly the best that modern TV has to offer, at least when it comes to sci-fi.

Then again, I don't actually watch it on tv...

I just finished the 2nd season, and yes there will be a 3rd...... I can't say how great, insightful,revealing and maybe prophetic [ time will tell ] this series is. Trans-humanism is the core of this show along with the human condition, greed, violence ,power, the lack of consequence for ones behavior, surveillance by the big corporation,....... there are so many layers, dimensions and implications it's stunning, not to mention world class acting. Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, James Marsden and many many more. If you liked the MATRIX you should not miss this .

I tried to get into season 1. Made it through the first 3 or 4 episodes, but then gave up. It just didn't resonate with me. Apparently, I'm in the minority.

I agree with you. If one is aware of the real world we live in it's very insightful, otherwise its a very strong programming of one's mind!

We were hit with a storm yesterday,internet went out, i wanted to kick this around a bit. @ Black Panther ..I call the labyrinth .. the endless loop of thought ...if you can rise above the loop and go still, all answers will come . in the Bible the quote is ... be still and know .......that I am God. Be still in mind and body.... meditation is that practice of stilling ... I worked in engineering at auto manufacturing plant, anytime i couldn't come up with a solution to a problem i would stop trying to find one and distract my self, then the answers would come . I drove 72 miles to work ... with my conscious mind occupied with operating the car, the answers to many thing would bubble up, without effort.

Does the video say how this energy that gets drained from me is captured and redirected?
Seems like they first need to know exactly when I turn on the tv show, right? And then they'll need to know where I'm sitting...

Watching Westworld does seem to drain me, but I don't think that's because it is an "evil show". Personally I found it to be extremely thought provoking.
The more I watch, the more I would find myself empathizing with the AI.

That's the part I think is tricky, if any. When an AI is scripted in a TV show to be a "better version" of people, that's putting a really big "seed" in our heads so to speak.

Between "West World" and "Humans" it makes you wonder if we are that way or heading that way. When they began to "3D Print" the perfect man and I saw that image of the perfect human male in a circle I thought WOW that it a little too close to home! Perhaps some are remnants of a world that was created for the amusement of others. Some people got trapped here, and began to reproduce? Who knows right?

It certainly is thought provoking.. All of those shows are. But I think that is because we could see the potential of harnessing such ideas, and SOMEONE actually putting them into practical use. I always wondered if the et are making clones for just that purpose, so others can come here and "Play in the sandbox" unnoticed.

As they don't seem to be appearing here in mass to take over... So yes the series had made me wonder about the real situation we are in

I think Gridkeeper is probably referring to the dark horse music video since 4 mins sounds about right. I doubt I'd want to hear an 8 hour dissertation on it though, sounds even more brain draining than Westworld
