    Default Chimera: human-animal hybrids

This thread is for human and animal hybrids postings and findings, as well as any other similar chimera (a chimera being a human-animal hybrid).

There is a human-pig hybrid that has been created in the Salk's laboratory and has survived for 4 weeks. This is official. IT has been destroyed, but who knows how long it would have survived otherwise.

I am personnally totally against such chimera. The is no ways it will remain contained within strict science. It will end up like the killer bees that escape their brazilian lab and are now in North America, displacing other bees and killing people.

Also, human have emotions that are different from other animals. And this has to be respected.

Even if this research is deemed necessary to created new organs for transplantation, I do think it is a one way street to a total genetic mess.

We may be a result of such hybridisation from ETs intervention and look at the mess we are in....

Furthermore, I do think that with stem cell and some kind of DNA resonance, organ could be created. So why not look into this instead.

    The article:

    https://news.nationalgeographic.com/...ealth-science/

Quote In a remarkable—if likely controversial—feat, scientists announced today that they have created the first successful human-animal hybrids. The project proves that human cells can be introduced into a non-human organism, survive, and even grow inside a host animal, in this case, pigs.

This biomedical advance has long been a dream and a quandary for scientists hoping to address a critical shortage of donor organs.

Every ten minutes, a person is added to the national waiting list for organ transplants. And every day, 22 people on that list die without the organ they need. What if, rather than relying on a generous donor, you could grow a custom organ inside an animal instead?
