Default Thinking the Unthinkable: a WHAT IF scenario, should there be major sea level changes coming soon

Hello, Everyone: this is a sequel thread to wnlight's earlier one here:
If you've not seen that, do take a look. wnlight (Warren) is an experienced dowser, but no airy-fairy New Ager without any sense of reality. He used to work as a mathematician on US classified projects, and spent time with the famous physicist Richard Feynman at Fermilab.

He's pretty smart, and, as best he can, utilizes the scientific method in all his dowsing. One of the feathers in his dowsing-the-future cap is the correct prediction, which even he did not fully believe at the time, of Donald Trump's presidency.

For the last several years, his dowsing has consistently predicted very major sea level changes in 18 months' time. He does not know the cause, but has mapped it all out, in his own words, 'pixel by pixel'.

This is a new thread, because while he himself earnestly hopes he's quite wrong and this dreadful scenario does NOT come to pass, it may be very interesting to take that extra conceptual step (and a very deep breath!) and start to think as futurists and strategic analysts would.

    IF this happens... WHAT THEN?

    1)

A good reference may be the British TV drama documentary Threads, broadcast in 1984, depicting, in quite dreadful detail, the aftermath of a global nuclear war. Astonishingly, the only video I can find on the internet is this one. (Warning: it's very well done, and pretty horrifying.)
The title is clever, and thought-provoking. The reference is to the many thin threads that keep society together. When the threads break... everything breaks.

    2)

Another is what one futurist calls the 'can of beans' principle. (I cannot recall his name, but I'll post it when it comes. )

You see a can of beans on the supermarket shelf. No big deal. But how did it get there? And how did it get made? For one can of beans, which you can hold in your hand and consume in a few minutes, you need
    • financial infrastructure
    • transport, including gasoline or diesel
    • electrical power
    • raw materials
    • water
    • healthy and plentiful people in employment (farmers, truckers and factory workers)
    • mining engineering (for the tin)
    • ...and maybe quite a bit more.
So, here's my first attempt at a futurist's look at the aftermath of a catastrophic change in sea level and coastlines (a) with some coastal land lost, and (b) new land reappearing in various places, including in the Caribbean, Australasia, and mid-Pacific.

This is useful to start one thinking:

    Hi wnlight
Hope you don't mind if I post your future world map (2019)...
If you do, then let me know & I will delete...

    The World Map In 2019
    • The blue areas are land lost below the sea for the foreseeable future.
    • The green areas represent new land risen from the sea.
    • Red rectangles in the world map enclose areas of greater detail.
(Click on Map goes to website)
    1) Note the new land in green, especially the huge new island in the Pacific. That's as big as the US and China combined. (Maybe more.)

Who'd want to claim that? The US and China, for sure. Immediately, and both at once. And that alone might provoke a nuclear exchange, even if it was in that unpopulated area.

Rock covered by organic marine sludge would be quickly terraformed, and while that was in process, a bunch of military bases would be established and fiercely defended. Maybe by other countries, too, very possibly Russia. There's no precedent in international law for resolving ANYTHING like that.

    2) The massive changes would wreak havoc to global finance. One might expect a catastrophic failure in global markets, with many exchanges suspended for quite a period at the very least.

    3) Global weather would be affected. The new-look Pacific Ocean would change all that, and quickly. That would affect crops worldwide, leading to widespread famine.

    4) Widespread famine would lead to widespread disease. (Ironically, maybe mitigated by the difficulty of or controls on international travel.)

    5) Global shipping transport would be brought to a halt. Many sea ports would cease to operate (or cease to exist). Chinese imports? Forget it. Oil? Nothing from the Middle East. (A global war could even be sparked by a desperate competitive scramble for oil.)

    6) Communications would pretty much remain unaffected, with the rider that there would be enough power to the main nodes of internet and phone. Satellites would probably be unaffected.

    7) With sea level rises in some coastal areas (or, more accurately maybe, land sinking), it'd be reasonable to assume power grids would fail in many countries.

    8) More importantly, many nuclear power plants would suffer the fate of Fukushima. We might end up with Fukushima x 100, or more, worldwide. There could be widespread nuclear fallout even without a war, and widespread permanent poisoning of the oceans. All seafood might be contaminated, another contributor to global famine.

    9) With chaos in many countries — especially Israel and the Middle East — many weapons would be opportunistically stolen, including nukes. Genuine terrorist groups worldwide (including genuine freedom fighters) would see this as a unique opportunity to take advantage of the unprecedented chaos.

    10) NWO advocates would also see the same opportunity, enforcing strict controls on finance, food and water, healthcare, travel, communications, and weapons. Martial law would be enforced in many countries simultaneously. Citizens would be begging their governments to 'help' them in any way that seemed possible.

    ***

Do respond with your own analyses, building on all this. Regard it as a kind of video-game thought experiment. It's quite an interesting exercise. What I outlined above may just be a start.

And more, as if that wasn't enough!

    11) It's reasonable to assume that, whatever mechanism produced the huge changes, that would be accompanied by significant volcanic activity and major earthquakes (including in coastal areas, leading to large tsunamis). That might do far more to wreck coastal areas than the sea level rises themselves. Looking at the map, the entire Pacific 'Ring of Fire' would presumably be ringing like a fiery bell.

But, of course, major internet undersea cables would probably be broken, especially in the Pacific. That's quite a big deal. (Though if they're all ruptured because of new rising land masses, they might be quite easy to repair! )

"Threads (1984)" seems to be a popular torrent, Bill - full versions here (46 seeds for the first one; 700 MB, 1hr 52min - no subtitles):

Three other choices (not so many seeds)

A frightening & well-done TV movie IMO! (Some trivia - Thought I recognised the voice (uncredited) of the American President; the late Ed Bishop (Commander Straker from "U.F.O." )

On what might be a related note to the map in the OP, onawah has been regularly posting Dutchsinse videos of increasing pacific rim seismic unrest (earthquakes and volcanos):

Excellent, many thanks. It'll be in the Avalon Library in a couple of hours.

It's VERY VERY well done. Almost TOO realistic. To this day, I remember watching it on TV when it came out, and giving an involuntary, loud gasp of pure horror when I saw the nuclear missiles being launched. It was just too much like the real thing.

The first option was a quick download at this end (7 mins); it had a similar affect on me (I was pretty young at the time - thank you for the reminder to get it! ) ; shock factor matched only by "Alternative 3", which ironically, is also related ("devastating climate change" cited as the reason for sending the "best of the population" to Mars). PB also had a REALLY good hi-res version of "Alternative 3" - best I've seen so far - it may still be there).

Here it is. 'Enjoy' might not be quite the right advice to give. Better is, if you're watching it with a loved one, grab their hand tightly.

Default Re: Thinking the Unthinkable: a WHAT IF scenario, should there be major sea level changes coming soon

I have thought about the aftermath of the earth changes scenario that I have envisioned for many years. The challenges that humanity would face if even a portion of these changes were to come to pass might be existential challenges for most. I fervently hope that all of this will turn out to be simply an academic discussion. I have been reluctant to publicly present all that I see that would befall humanity. But Bill has laid out in this thread much of what I have foreseen. So I now present a few more worrisome bits.

    Short Term
Tsunami will wash away many towns and habitations world-wide. Few coastlines will be spared - perhaps none. What I recently have learned is that the Great Lake coastlines will be awash. This is particularly true for Lakes Michigan and Superior. Many small towns will be no more.
Immediate survivors living in the coastal cities will find it impossible to evacuate as infrastructure has been demolished. Resources will diminish daily.
I disagree with Bill on communications. Most Internet hubs are in major coastal cities. With those gone, the rest will be useless. Something similar is true for commercial television and radio networks.
As energy sources fail, so will remaining communications. Perhaps short-wave radio communications will remain viable. Few people that are left in coastal cities will be able to continue in their jobs. This will contribute to even greater failures in transportation, energy, food, and communications.

    Mid Term
A closer look at the Caribbeans will show that the Gulf Stream will be impaired. This change will greatly affect Europe causing it to have weather more like Nome, Alaska, is today. (BTW, Nome will be gone.)

    Longer term
Do not ignore the looming predictions of a mini ice age. This will be a second devastating blow to humanity. Certainly, any survivors remaining in the more temperate latitudes will discover that food is becoming even more scarce.

    Geo-political
Cuba will be joined to the USA: war. What is left of Japan will be joined to Korea and China: war. Many resources will be lost: war. Much new land will appear: war. The NWO elitist bastards will see that world population have significantly been reduced and may decide to complete their plans for final control of humanity: war.

For those now living in coastal cities, one thing that has not been discussed is what events/signs to look for to (1) determine if my predictions will actually come true, and (2) decide when it is time to 'bug out' for safer locations.

I feel pretty safe living here, but it would be a huge challenge for many to sell his/her home now; give up a job; and move to a place where they do not speak English. Do not come looking for me if this whole thing blows over! I have posted in other threads that it is very difficult to peer into the future and predict events. The only reason that I have posted any of this is that events that I have foreseen over the last ten years have changed very little. Strangely, the predicted date has constantly remained to be in the (Northern) Winter of 2019-2020 for all of those years. It is only about 18 months from now.

From my view, wnlight, dowsing for a particular event to take place yields far more higher percentage of being correct than dowsing for a particular time when an event will occur. My sense is that it has to more with the perception of time. I've heard it stated before, that time is pretty strange stuff. It has to do with mind.

In asking for answers, dowsing yields answers directly from the physical body. The body is more connected to the Higher Self. The cleaner the body is of emotional garbage that tends to collect there, the more clean the connection will be with one's Higher Self, and the more correct the answers will be.... The answers to questions comes from the Higher Self via the physical body which moves the pendulum.

Whereas, answers that come from mind have a tendency to be less correct. The mind has a tendency to be deceptive when it comes to obtaining answers to questions about events. Questions that have to do with a time element, well, things gets even more diluted.

That is just from what I have noticed.

Just recently there was an article that came out that said the aborigineses of Australia said we have less than 2 years left before the changes happen and didn,t Edgar Casey predict that lake Michigan would drain into the mississippi? Here comes my connect the dots approach, when enough dots happen in the same direction and timeline there are some issues to take note of, add now to the dot list of wnlight dowsing predictions gets added to the map respectively.

So it's DOOM ON?! I like it when it's doom on, much more exciting than doom off.

Seriously though, what is the probability of such events? What would cause them, just a nuclear war or perhaps something from outer space, including Nibiru, comets and asteroids?

… which leads us to - what I would term - “The Spare-parts Civilizations” and the probable, real purpose for the Roswell crash…

So, here is how I see it, pretty much following Bill’s beans’ preserves:

It’s beginning to dawn on humanity’s consciousness that previous high-tech civilizations have dwelled on Earth in years past, the last of which being suspected to have occurred prior to some 12,000 years ago.

Said high-tech civilization is believed to have had strange flying machines and space crafts if we lend some credence to individuals like Edgar Cayce, Jon Peniel or the “Vimanas” of old.

The catastrophe which ended that civilization, whether natural, manmade or human enhanced, left the survivors in a pretty pickle: they were left with no means to repair anything high-tech anymore… hence any functioning devices had to be turned over to the realm of “sacred” objects and high priests still able to use and/or repair them…

… and the scavenging period for spare parts to repair still functioning artifacts began.

It’s currently happening to some of the USAF planes… keeping some in flying conditions by scavenging out of order ones… no other spare parts available. Same for the Germans most recent modern submarines… all on dry docks because no spare parts to repair the broken down ones.

How does one repair something which directions for repair is classified state secret and buried in some undisclosed vaults or rendered-useless hard drives?

    See?

As with the can of beans, in order to repair/keep old flying machine in shape to fly, one needs the rare ingredients (mining, metallurgy know-how) and the recipe to concoct the moulds for the spare parts… to keep control of the airspace, right?

Well, for some 12,000 years, human civilizations were absolutely unable to manufacture any spare parts for these machines and associated gears and weapons… then, all of a sudden, in less than a century, humanity went from horse-drawn carts to walking all over the Moon!??!

See? The so-called “Industrial Revolution” occurred.

Imagine being one of these flying machines’ pilot stranded on a planet full of apes barely able to strike two rocks together to start a fire… what do you do to get those apes to manufacture the spare parts you need to repair your craft and get the hell out of there?

… you would need industrial and research capabilities… rare elements to slap together some electronics needed components, etc…

Then, how do you steer the research in that direction?

    Roswell!

    And reverse engineering!

… and the “Break Away” civilization is well on its way

It’s known in astrological circles that earthquakes and volcanic activity can be triggered by the gas giant planets, Saturn and Jupiter, as they reach apehelion and perihelion in their cycles (or conjunctions and oppositions). The geodetic forces can put a strain on the Earth and squeeze it like an orange till something ruptures.

    ================================================== ==
Saturn Pluto conjunction – from December 2019
Jupiter Saturn conjunction – from December 2019

Saturn Uranus square – from January 2020
Saturn in Aquarius – from March 2020
Jupiter in Aquarius – from December 2020
Pluto in Aquarius – from March 2023
    Long-range

Uranus Neptune square – coming 2032
Uranus Pluto opposition – coming 2045

We’re at an interesting point in the evolution of the collective psyche and 2020 looks set to be a major turning point. If you thought the hype over 2012 was overdone, just wait until the 2020 hype gets going! There are multiple planets changing signs and starting new cycles, and Aquarius is heavily featured. It looks like the Age of Aquarius is upon us.

Transformative evolutionary forces are fully in play now, energies that we can participate in but that are far more powerful than we can control or predict. The past and the future seem to be converging in our time with extraordinary intensity. Clearly some form of creative intelligence informs the whole, yet just as clearly the human future is radically uncertain, contingent both on human choices and on larger forces beyond our power, beyond our awareness. An old age of the world is passing away, and a new one is struggling to be born. – Richard Tarnas, World Transits 2000-2020
    ==============================================

The Saturn-Pluto and Saturn-Jupiter conjunctions, in December 2019, might be worth paying attention to, for those that feel any urge to prepare. Personally, there’s no doubt there’ll be some earthquakes or volcanic eruptions, somewhere on the planet, at that time. Will that be enough to fundamentally change the cymatic structure of earths geology and force drastic sea and coastline changes? My crystal bowl (pineal gland) says no.

Or hypothetically, if it does create the forecast earth changes, is it not possible that the drastic reduction in city populations could simply be from mass migration as people move and re-settle on the freshly created coastlines? I know if Lemuria suddenly popped out of the ocean again, I’d be leaving Manchester behind, putting my Indiana Jones hat on and flying off to explore new lands.

I honestly feel that humanity has passed the tipping point and the threat of major world wars has been postponed, at least for a couple hundred years.

Jules Verne wrote a book on the subject of survival, The Mysterious Island. It is still the best book I've ever read. In it, a man named Cyrus Harding leads a rag-tag group of castaways in a struggle for survival. It is fascinating and informative.

A well rounded individual with a rigorous scientific background can indeed survive in the right location. Not only survive but thrive.

edit to add: Still, even those castaways had to have help in the form of supplies that float to the island from their shipwreck. Guns, ammunition, surveying tools, scientific equipment. Without those, even Cyrus Harding would have been hard pressed to succeed.

I'd like to start off with this Edgar Cayce reading where he talks of a life to come in 2100 A.D. This before the meat of the thread topic.

Quote "I had been born again in 2100 A.D. in Nebraska. The sea apparently covered all of the western part of the country, as the city where I lived was on the coast. The family name was a strange one. At an early age as a child I declared myself to be Edgar Cayce who had lived 200 years before. Scientists, men with long beads, little hair, and thick glasses, were called in to observe me. They decided to visit the places where I said I had been born, lived, and worked in Kentucky, Alabama, New York, Michigan, and Virginia.

"Taking me with them the group of scientists visited these places in a long, cigar-shaped metal flying ship which moved at a high speed.

"Water covered part of Alabama. Norfolk, Virginia, had become an immense seaport. New York had been destroyed either by war or an immense earthquake and was being rebuilt. Industries were scattered over the countryside. Most of the houses were built of glass. Many records of my work as Edgar Cayce were discovered and collected.

"The group returned to Nebraska, taking the records with them to study... These changes in the Earth will come to pass, for the time and times and half times are at an end, and there begins those periods for the readjustments..."
John Moore is a salt of the earth Christian Fundamentalist type who through happen stance was exposed to info regarding earth changes that the United States is preparing for.
Mr. Moore then went about attempting to collect information from various intelligence officers who would object by stating they could not tell because of Security Clearance and Mr. Moore gets around this through presenting information that the witness then corroborates with a series of eye blinks.
Most distressing would be flooding in the Southern US, Mississippi Basin and East Coast.
John Moore outlines how not a few Navy Officers have been informed to move to the Ozark Hills of Missouri, stating that this area is extremely safe.
John Moore states that this is corroborated one day by a Home Insurance VIP asking John "why are so many retired Navy personal moving to the Ozarks of Missouri?".
Furthermore this seems to be substantiated by a Jesse Ventura "Conspiracy Files"where they were investigating a very small town in the Missouri Ozarks with vast underground facilities built and constant shipments coming in to accommodate it.
    I highly recommend watching.

So it's DOOM ON?! I like it when it's doom on, much more exciting than doom off.

Seriously though, what is the probability of such events? What would cause them, just a nuclear war or perhaps something from outer space, including Nibiru, comets and asteroids?
    Made me laugh!

As I mentioned above, I figured this might be an interesting thread to share some speculative 'WHAT IF' analyses. It's just a big thought experiment, to use Einstein's term. The thread is really intended to discuss what might happen geopolitically and societally if such things were to happen.

I'm not personally believing it's 'Doom On' at all. I just see this as very interesting, as I know wnlight (Warren) personally. This thread was prompted by a long conversation I had with him over lunch yesterday. As I mentioned above, he's utterly sane and grounded, and not a doomsayer at all. And he earnestly hopes to be 100% wrong about all of this.

Regarding what might cause these kinds of events, my own attention is drawn to Linda Howe's 21 Feb 2018 livestream video here. She reported that she'd been contacted in 2013 by an insider scientist who told her that the many mysterious loud booms reported all over the world (that seem simultaneously to be coming from the atmosphere and underground, but have caused material damage to some buildings) are due to major changes in the Earth's core, in turn connected with an apparently progressing Magnetic Pole reversal.

@ turiya, You are correct in your thoughts about the mind, body, higher self connection and it's influence on dowsing. I have been seriously dowsing for about fifteen years, and have experienced that of which you write. My conscious mind is totally connected to my higher self - 24/7. This achievement took much time and effort. Some folks are born with it. Everyone else can learn to do this. I get the answers directly in my head, but still use the pendulum for the visual confirmation that I sometimes need. About two years ago, my higher self started tying knots in my pendulum chain to tell me KNOT to use it so much and just listen in my mind. We do not really know where the mind is located. The brain may not be the answer. The brain seems to be an information hub with short term memory. Of course, the brain is also a survival instrument.

@ pyrangello, your post with this question "and didn,t Edgar Casey predict that lake Michigan would drain into the mississippi?" is a good example. I also expect that to happen, but much later. Maybe in a few hundred years that will happen. Furthermore, that has already happened in the end of the last ice age when the Mississippi, the Illinois, the Wabash, the Ohio and other rivers were formed by overwhelming melt water flowing from the Great Lakes.

I recently explained to Bill how time is so difficult to dowse. When I ask/dowse about other future events (I am not always thinking DOOM) it is most difficult to pin down a date. Many times the answer is not correct. However, you must see the difference in questions directed by my curiosity as apposed to my being told a date in meditation that is confirmed by dowsing. I did not originally ask "Will it happen in January, 2020?" I only asked that later for confirmation. I cannot tell you how many times I have asked direct questions and peripheral questions - questions around the subject - looking for a crack in the scenario. I have been all around it and through it for the last ten years. I did not tell anyone for the first six years.

@ Hervé, As usual, you have very thoroughly thought out the situation as presented by Bill and myself. I do expect that unlike the demise of several previous civilizations on our Earth by some major calamity, in this case there will be a much greater survival rate with perhaps much more than enough technical information and skill to carry on with some version of our current civilization. I expect that there will be protected pockets in each continent that may be changed very little.

Engineer and experienced outdoorsman Matthew Stein was urged to write his excellent When Technology Fails by ETs who contacted him telepathically. He resisted it for quite some time, but eventually gave in to their insistence. They kept telling him he was the perfect person to compile the book, which they made clear was of the utmost importance. It's a most fascinating tale.

As is often the case, one wonders what some ETs might know (or judge may be probable) about our future that we have no idea of.
