Boris Johnson quits to add to pressure on May over Brexit
    9/7/18

From left: David Davis, Boris Johnson and Theresa May

Boris Johnson has resigned as Foreign Secretary amid a growing political crisis over the
UK's Brexit strategy. He is the second senior cabinet minister to quit within hours
following Brexit Secretary David Davis's exit. His departure came shortly before Theresa
May began addressing Parliament about her new Brexit plan, which has angered many
    Conservative MPs.

She said she did not agree with the two ex-ministers about "the best way to honour"
the result of the 2016 vote. The BBC's political editor Laura Kuenssberg said Mr
Johnson's exit had turned an "embarrassing and difficult situation for the PM into
    potentially a full-blown crisis".

She said he was not any ordinary cabinet minister but was the "face" of the Leave
campaign during the 2016 referendum and his departure would fuel speculation about a
leadership challenge. She said she had been told by a source that either Theresa
May "dumps" the plan signed off at Chequers or "another minister will go, then another,
    then another, then another".

Theresa May addresses David Davis and Boris Johnson resignations - Daily Mail

    Published on 9 Jul 2018....Daily Mail...( 6 mins )...
Brexit Secretary David Davis dramatically resigned late last night, sparking a
Brexiteer rebellion over Theresa May's plan to make a soft exit from the EU -
leaving the Prime Minister fighting for her political life. Mr Davis quit the
government last night telling the PM that her policies could leave the UK in a 'weak
and inescapable' negotiating position, two days after ministers had finally agreed a
plan for Britain's departure from the European Union. Steve Baker and Suella
Braverman, junior ministers in the Brexit department, were also reported to have
quit the government last night amid speculation that further Cabinet ministers
would follow Mr Davis to the exit. The Brexit rebellion leaves Mrs May in a perilous
position as she faces the House of Commons and then a potentially stormy meeting
of Tory MPs on Monday. Mr Davis was praised last night by Tory MPs including
Jacob Rees-Mogg, who said he would oppose Mrs May's Brexit proposals.

Sorry to lower the tone, but it would appear that Mrs May could not even organise a ‘pi**-up’ in a brewery. No confidence vote now necessary, we are all being let down, whichever side one voted. 😡

I saw this one coming as soon she restored collective responsibility.

The Leavers had nothing left to lose, and had only propped her up because she was listening to them.

I also smell a bit of a rat here too. She wanted this, I think.

    This is very auspicious.

We need an election before the boundary changes kick in, in October, as they are engineered to give the Tories an advantage.

Horrible as she is, May is fighting for a sensible soft Brexit- a fudge where we try to retain as much of the trading advantages that we currently have, as possible.

May is playing high stakes - putting her version of brexit on the block - and saying 'go, on, trigger a crisis if you dare, because any change of leadership will trigger a general election before the boundary changes, with potentially Corbyn winning'

They called her bluff- the swivel eyed cronies who want brexit so they can crucify the British people with cuts to employment rights, debauched food, premium priced USA drugs etc are going to fight it out.

The other looming fight - hopefully - is 'British Fight' where finally the hidden leakers are going to be heard, as hoped, there are disaffected police, judges, insiders who finally are going to be heard on the worst Pedogate style cover up ever.

May is complicit there, and hopefully this will tip things to Corbyn's favour.

Jeremy Corbyn tells government to 'get its act together' or 'make way' - Daily Mail

    Published on 9 Jul 2018...Daily Mail....9 7 mins )...
Labour today demanded Theresa May and her Government stand aside claiming she
has lost control of Brexit and her own authority. The resignation of Boris Johnson this
afternoon has led Jeremy Corbyn's party to call a snap general election - the third in
three years. Some Labour MPs shouted 'resign' while others waved 'bye' as the Prime
Minister took to the despatch box in the Commons today to defend her Chequers deal.
Jeremy Corbyn stopped short of calling for Mrs May to quit but said there was a 'crisis
in Government' after the resignation of Mr Johnson and Brexit Secretary David Davis.
But he asked: 'How can anyone have faith in the Prime Minister getting a good deal
with 27 European Union governments when she can't even broker a deal within her
own Cabinet?' Shadow chancellor John McDonnell (pictured) led calls for an end to
'paralysis in government' warning it was 'no way to govern a country'.

Boris Johnson tells PM she is suffocating Brexit 'dream'

    9/7/18

Boris Johnson has launched a scathing attack on Theresa May's Brexit strategy,
saying the "dream is dying, suffocated by needless self-doubt".

In his letter resigning as foreign secretary, he said the prime minister was leading
the UK into a "semi-Brexit" with the "status of a colony".

His resignation came hours after Brexit Secretary David Davis quit the cabinet.

Mrs May insists her plans are the "the best way to honour" the Brexit vote, amid
    a deepening political crisis.

David Davis out. Boris Johnson out. Did Theresa May clear the air or is the UK prime

last Friday's closed door retreat at Chequers, the prime minister's country residence,

border open with Ireland. Will the resignations weaken or strengthen her hand?

as I'm not a Brit maybe I'm not qualified to comment on this...

...but according to Simon Parkes (IF he's credible in his assessments) in his recent interview with Kerry Cassidy he stated the original catalyst that kick-started the Brexit mov't was because Great Britain was not going to let itself be dictated to by Brussels as to how many refugees it would be required to accept-

Wow. Just wow. These Britishers are in a bit of a pickle right now. What the heck are they doing? This whole Brexit thing was a shambles from the very beginning. It could have been done right, if UK politicians took it sufficiently seriously, but this is closer to a Panto show than any sort of political process. I miss John Major and Gordon Brown, that's how bad it's gotten.

Theresa May was terrible at her job as home secretary, not to mention callous and cruel. Boris Johnson was a blowhard journalist, who pretended to know things, but everybody knew he was a bit of an idiot. Now, the chickens are coming home to roost and we're finding out how truly awful the current crop of UK politicians really are. Trouble is, there is nobody that seems even remotely appealing in comparison. Jeremy Corbyn? Really? He's just as clueless as the rest of them.

Just as the so called progressive's antics in America are winning the Conservatives mid term fight for them, every time they open their mouths, I suspect Boris Johnson has a similar strategy in mind as the outcome of all this childish moronic whoohaa against Trump's visit.

I live in the north of England and I smell a massive rebellion brewing against the Sadiq Khan school of politics coming out of the PC inner circle of the M25.

The northeners I know around here are traditional Labor voters but are also serious about getting the hell out of the New World Order Beta test called the EU. Right now, if a general election is called, they have a tough choice. If Boris kicks May out and takes over and starts talking tough with europe, I can see a scenario where life long Labor voters will flock to vote for Boris, just to get out of this stupid-fest of a euro log jam, and then kick him out again once the exit business is done.

People who voted for getting out of the EU have absolutely nothing left to lose, so expect tactical shocks.

That election she called may even have been the first swing of the axe into brexit.

    That's where she's wrong.

She would lose a GE to Corbyn, but a fully exit committed Tory party would walk it. Corbyn's most taken for granted support in the country would cross-the-isle for a one off.

I dont think a Labour Party under Corbyn is electable.
He seems to be talking the language of the past---Workers against !!!!
Here in Scotland we are seeing a stable Government --Nicola Sturgeon is middle of the road left wing, stable and greatly respected
    Safe hands so to speak.
I dont vote --one way or another there is always an agenda.
