I'm sure he does. But knowing his track record as a lying and known money grabbing con artist, it's probably not going to be anything big. Frankly I'm surprised if there's any new info at all on his documentary that we don't already know. Wasn't there already Corey Feldman thread here?

Come friendly bombs and fall on Hollywood, it isn’t fit for doing good. Another year, another dreadful Oscars, another round of moral lectures from the beautiful people. It’s all so tiresome. The only reason most people pay attention to these irritating award ceremonies is precisely so that they can be irritated.

So there was a vegan theme at this year’s Academy Awards. So the show had no host. So Brad Pitt is angry about impeachment. So someone said ‘workers of the world unite’. So Joaquin Phoenix is mad (in all senses) about what mankind is doing to the animal kingdom. So Natalie Portman, in what she called ‘my subtle way’, had the names of the women directors who weren’t nominated for awards sewn into her dress.

So what? All these people are ridiculous. Nothing they say makes any difference to anything. Actors are increasingly aware, thanks in part to Ricky Gervais’s wonderful ribbing of them at the Golden Globes, that nobody cares what they think. At some unconscious level, these actors must know that they don’t really know anything about politics or the real world.

The Oscars have always been fundamentally silly, but 10 years ago they were still a major event. Celebrities still lectured people in their annoying, self-congratulatory way, but they had more cultural capital. People listened when they spoke, and that slightly restrained their sanctimoniousness. Now they are just howling into cyberspace, ever more desperate to be heard.

The internet has killed the Hollywood star. Fame has been disrupted. Andy Warhol got it slightly wrong when he said that in the future, everybody will be famous for 15 minutes. In fact, thanks to social media, everybody is famous to at least 15 people. Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook mean we don’t have to ogle stars anymore; we are too busy ogling ourselves. Yes, different types of celebrities have grown online: the influencers, the YouTubers, the streamers, and they too will try to use their position to grandstand. But the age of celebrity, of mass entertainers mattering as anything other than entertainment, is dying. It won’t be missed.

This past week spent fact-checking Chester Bennington's last six days alive has been most upsetting.

By all accounts "in a good place", sober, and at a creative high point, Bennington and band were to begin a tour the next week. After spending a family vacation with his wife and six kids in Phoenix, he flew to LA the night of July 19, 2017 for business reasons. He was presumably alone in his Los Angeles house during the ten hours prior to the discovery of his body the morning of July 20, 2017. He was scheduled for a photo shoot that day, and told his housekeeper the previous night at 10:30 PM (who left 5 minutes later and was the last to see him alive) he would be going to work early at 4:30 AM.

The housekeeper arrived at 8:30 AM and let herself in with her key. Because her boss had told her he would be leaving for work at the crack of dawn she assumed he was gone, until she noticed a vehicle in the driveway. An Uber driver sent by management to pick him up had "just arrived" when he came upon the hysterical housekeeper and dialed 911 at 8:50 AM. A "bandmate" reportedly arrived at an unknown time, also to pick him up. Most puzzling is the presence of an empty 7-11 bag on the floor, an empty bottle of Stella Artois, and a half empty bottle of Corona, all of which suggest the presence of another person in the house during those hours, one not named in the police report. Toxicology results were consistent with a half bottle of beer.

Working with a search engine and a pencil and paper and wondering if anyone could be placed at the scene (nope), there are many, many individuals Mr Bennington did or may have had interactions with. (He was rehearsing with two bands at the time, and had sent an email the day before about a third.) I asked a respected remote viewer if there was any interest and was warmly and politely told while there were no plans to do so, "you never know". To lay out in these pages a fascinating but ultimately macabre story involving friends, family, bandmates, managers, contracts, employees, legal documents, other musicians, even Guns & Roses! and cast doubt on all is not something I want to do. In fact, I'm still upset. I think I'll go fishing.
