If President Eisenhower thought it was OK to send the marines into Area 51, how about Trump doing the same with Silicon Valley?

Nigel Farage has just put his foot right in his mouth. He just said let's treat Facebook and Twitter as publishers and make them responsible for what is said on their platform. He couldn't be more wrong if he was trying. That is completely the wrong way to go Nigel. It's exactly what they want ! . . . Editorial control !

ExomatrixTV: could you go back and edit these posts, to say something more substantive about what is in the videos?

Ten minutes of your time doing that, on each video posted on a high traffic thread such as this, could save 100's of Avalon members, and 1000's of Avalon guests from either spending 5 to 15 minutes, each video, figuring it out for themselves (which they may well realize was time wasted), or, more likely, just skipping the video because they were not aware of what was in it (which some will miss out on a video that have been something of actual interest to them.)

Useful descriptions also help for the historical record, in the case of videos that sooner or later, are no longer available. As we know from this thread, sometimes Youtube takes good stuff down.

In short: a little extra time by the poster can add significant value to, and save far more aggregate time for, the reader.

I like what she says. I think she is right. They are going to (or doing it right now) systematically shut off our right to speak. First the conservatives, then later the libs and finally only the people in power will have the right to speak.

The answer is to fight back NOW! Later we may not be allowed to talk back.

The Founding Fathers of the US knew this would come. That's why they also included the 2nd amendment.

Here's a flashback to Jade Helm 2015. An interview by John B Wells of a woman who called herself DJ.

Jade Helm was first talked about as just another military exercise but it quickly became apparent that there was very much more to it. It involved a whole spectrum of factors including AI and action <-> reaction information loops.

Jade Helm came and went. It's significance to these developments in the big tech platforms only becomes more obvious in my opinion. Google and Apple are operating inside China according to Chinese plans for social control. Jade Helm, as described in this interview is a perfect match with that. It doesn't take much paranoid imagination to see the same thing developing here in the 'free' world.

People have criticised "DJ" as using spurious ideas to knit together her grasp of the situation but I don't know of a better presentation about what could really be going on with A.I. at the Helm of Control State tactics.

If you have not heard of Jade Helm, or have not thought about it for a long while, I recommend having a listen to this interview all over again.

Trump: "I would rather have fake news than have anybody - including liberals, socialists, anything - than have anybody stopped and censored."

Despite being constantly at odds with liberal mainstream media - often calling them 'fake news' - Donald Trump has told his supporters that even having to tolerate CNN is a much better alternative to censorship.

Talking to his supporters at a rally in Charleston, West Virginia, President Trump firmly warned them against embracing censorship of opposite viewpoints no matter how much opposite they are.

"You can't pick one person and say 'well we don't like what he's been saying, he's out,'" Trump said, pushing back against censorship of any social media accounts, regardless of political affiliation. "You can't have censorship," he added, because "it can turn around, it can be them next."

"So we'll live with fake news. I mean I hate to say it but we have no choice because that's by far the better alternative,"
Trump explained. "I would rather have fake news than have anybody - including liberals, socialists, anything - than have anybody stopped and censored."

Trump has repeatedly accused US news outlets critical of the administration as 'fake news.' In addition to CNN, the president has called out the Washington Post, The New York Times, MSNBC, and other liberal outlets for spreading false and deliberately out-of-context information.

While on one hand defending the First Amendment, Trump in October of last year spurred a massive backlash after suggesting that the government must review the licenses of some news networks. "With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License?" he asked in a tweet. "Network news has become so partisan, distorted and fake that licenses must be challenged and, if appropriate, revoked."

In addition to news outlets, Trump has also challenged social media platforms, accusing them of bias. Just this past weekend, Trump accused Silicon Valley giants of "totally discriminating" against users with right-wing views. The president's comments came after several top social media platforms banned the accounts of controversial political commentator Alex Jones.

In a series of tweets on Saturday, the billionaire president called social media censorship "a very dangerous thing & absolutely impossible to police," adding that "if you are weeding out Fake News, there is nothing so Fake as CNN & MSNBC, & yet I do not ask that their sick behavior be removed."

"Let everybody participate, good & bad, and we will all just have to figure it out!"
he said in one of his messages.

While speaking out against censorship, back in July Trump said that his administration will look into "shadow banning" practices on Twitter which reduce the visibility of certain people on the platform, which the US president believes affects the conservative voices.

Good idea. Jade Helm seems to mark the beginning of the roller coast ride we've been on ever since. Future historians will probably spend a lot of time going back over what all was happening back then.

It's a complete hit piece from start to finish.

Somebody has been working hard on the page. Nearly all the references are from 2018 or 2017.
Good grief - what a hatchet job .

How can YOU Fight the ‘Fake News’ Filter?

    Working around Google's Recommend Engine

By Joris De Draeck On Aug 24, 2018

We are all very much aware that Fake News has become a big thing ever since Trump took office – as we have written about in the past. It’s been at the forefront of news ever since and Google, as well as Facebook have been investing millions to battle it. Yet the downside is that it also seems to (willfully?) reduce traffic towards honest, alternative channels with some of the biggest ones seeing traffic reduces by up to 63% ever since Google announced the implementation of its new search algorithm on April 25, 2017. Google does not seem to want to address the complaints, so here is what you can do to retrieve the alternative news articles you are interested in.

    State of Affairs
Contrary to some talking points of conservative punditry, the clamp-down isn’t just affecting those on the ‘right’, conservatives, or pro-Trump, alt-right, or alt-light websites.

Since April, notable ‘progressive’ alternative news sites have seen traffic drop. According to an open letter to Google published on the World Socialist Website (https://www.wsws.org), various sites have been impacted as such:
    • alternet.org fell by 63 percent
    • globalresearch.ca fell by 62 percent
    • consortiumnews.com fell by 47 percent
    • mediamatters.org fell by 42 percent
    • commondreams.org fell by 37 percent
    • internationalviewpoint.org fell by 36 percent
    • democracynow.org fell by 36 percent
    • wikileaks.org fell by 30 percent
    • truth-out.org fell by 25 percent
    • counterpunch.org fell by 21 percent
    • theintercept.com fell by 19 percent
That’s all the tip of the iceberg, as other publications likely have seen similar drops in traffic. As we address this topic in August 2018, we have seen Alex Jones’s Infowars banned from YouTube, Facebook and Spotify. We had Venezuelanalysis’s and TeleSur English’s Facebook pages (temporarily) seen suspended. Peter Van Buren’s been blocked on Twitter, as was Janice Kortkamp, David Simon, Scott Horson, Daniel McAdams and Caitlin Johnstone.

FRN (Fort Russ News, media wing of the Center for Syncretic Studies, Belgrade, Serbia) believes this to be pure censorship. FRN was hit long before these sites, because FRN broke stories on the atrocities the US was carrying out through its Kiev Junta in Ukraine, since 2014. Some of these sites, in fact, were late to covering those stories right, and others, to this day, seem ‘confused’. That just means that being a part-time gate-keeper (democracy now, the intercept) won’t save you from censorship. This is all a silencing of a dissenting voice, but there’s ways around it. Read on…

    The easy fix
The exact length of a search query you can Google with, is not entirely clear. Some sources mention 2,048 being the limit, while others mention it depends on the browser used and others still go into a lot of technical mumbo-jumbo to explain the details. As browsers often allow more characters in the address bar, so we’ll take 2,048 as the conservative boundary. Going after Google’s search box limitations is not the goal of this article anyhow.

With this, and the usage of Google’s search operators, it’s easy to create a “fake news filter” which instructs Google to only return results from specific sites. So, if you’d want results about the April 2017 Khan Shaykhun chemical attack, disregarding what the collection of mainstream media brings as they all bring the same version anyway. If you only want information from the sources mentioned above, the search query would be:

    Code:
    Khan Shaykhun (site:fort-russ.com OR site:alternet.org OR site:globalresearch.ca OR site:consortiumnews.com OR site:mediamatters.org OR site:commondreams.org OR site:internationalviewpoint.org OR site:democracynow.org OR site:wikileaks.org OR site:truth-out.org OR site:counterpunch.org OR site:theintercept.com OR site:planetnews.eu)
Mind that it is important to write “OR” in capital letters and to provide the search directive “site:” before each site you wish to include.

Some of us use Firefox’s Note (experimental) sidebar to keep the list above ready at hand. It makes for an easy copy/paste addition to any query you enter in Google’s censored engine. While we are at it. Should you want to make this Fake News Filter into a Firefox or Chrome extension, give us a holler.

Wikipedia has never been as impartial and open as it's claimed to be.

InfoGalactic is the alternative under development, but it's still just a baby by comparison.

There are lots of examples of Wikipedia doing shady stuff. Pages are created and edited by people with conflicts of interest and then locked so no one else can edit them, they don't tolerate "conspiracy theories" even when they're just statements of simple fact, they've openly sided by Big Pharma against even describing popular alternative treatments for things. One day we'll probably learn it was created by some CIA or Mossad types just like Google and Twitter and a lot of other big tech platforms.
