Counterpart - Sci-fi paranormal TV show with J.K. Simmons

[Spellbound]

I discovered this show 2 days ago and am now halfway through the first season. Basically, J.K. Simmons works for a company for 30 years not knowing what they really do and one day he finds out there is an alternate parallel universe with everyone having their doubles which only a limited few know about. Each side (or universe) constantly spies on each other with very limited trust in between. The way Simmons plays both of himself is fascinating (meek and mild man on one side while slick and brash on the other). I'm a big J.K. Simmons fan....loved him in Oz back in the day.

Counterpart has been renewed for a second season. Awesome show....great concept.

Agree guys...

Thought i started way to many threads in this forum about shows so thanks for bringing this up. There level of creative expression in the form of Movies and TV series these last few years is really just very much appreciated by myself for sure. I enjoyed the pace of this show visually explaining such a complex concept eloquently. Some amazing, very moving scenes. The subtleties in the different characters (you know what i mean if you watch this as to not give it away). JK is just a bit of an enigma. He is a great actor that is for sure. Excellent cast all round though. It actually triggered me to re-watch Fringe which i hadn't seen since around the time of getting across alot of the Project Camelot stuff before 2012. I know i personally have shifted a lot in my development so revisiting works (whether TV series etc or lectures / teachers is foundational to myself to access layers i wasn't previously able to comprehend). This is similar to Dark on Netflix also. The Man in High Castle also (which if you like the pace here you will enjoy greatly as it builds and builds). There is a theme out there of portals to other times, dimensions, universes. I look forward to more.
