How many people are rating the trustworthiness of Facebook right now?

I gave them a zero rating years ago, which is why I no longer use it!

So, saying for instance there is no gold on Fort Knox, or that TPTB knew what was going to happen on 9/11... would this simply be labeled False News and for that reason removed from the internet?

This kind of control sickens me, if people think this is a good thing they are probably forgetting that tomorrow it could be them trying to expose something or someone, only to be publicly deemed a liar, and loose "fake internet points"

    Thanks Arwen.

Yes, I'd read the Big data article on Wired online, before and it's an important one bearing in mind the over-arching social experiment that China had always been designed to be, and elements of which will be subtly or maybe not-so rolled out into Europe and UK in due course; sobering material that everyone should make time to read.

In fact --- and I haven't yet checked at the time of writing --- this piece may even deserve its own thread.

Ask a homeless person who has been on the receiving end. I'll bet most of them are well aware of "the plan". It was shoved in my face in 2013.

There's a great episode of Black Mirror that jarringly and somewhat humourously points out the absurdity and sadness of such "social rating" systems when taken a little further than we have today.

The scene is set in a near future where social rating dictateseverything. People are as fake and dishonest as then can possibly be just to try to get their ratings as high as possible - it is the most important thing and maintaining a high rating must be had at any cost. The ratings dictate an entire hierarchy of "worthiness", for anything from bank loans to the jobs you can get, to the way people treat you on the street.

I believe it is available on Netflix, and for download if you know where and how to look.

When you are one step ahead of the crowd, you are a genius.
Two steps ahead, and you are deemed a crackpot.

I find it very interesting how concerned people are by their "Ratings scores".. I recently paid off ALL of my debt.. You would think that your credit score would jump as a result of this. "Kudos, you own your house" kind of thing, but I was shocked when my score literally dropped by nearly 100 points almost immediately! Why? Because I no longer OWE someone anything..

You're credit worthiness is only of "VALUE" to them, if they have an interest in essentially .. The "Interest" that you OWE THEM. So while I owe nothing.. I also have no revolving debt to show on their scales anymore. And my score DROPPED, because I no longer HAVE credit.. I have no need for it... I have never been so financially secure in my life, yet if you look to them for some marker as to how I am doing, I am now a higher risk.. It's all a SCAM.

The same thing is going to happen when it comes to social media rankings and such. Who "Deems" that you're worthy? By whose standards? Who decides if Joe Blow next door has any credibility, based upon what they share? Those who decide what we are SUPPOSED to be looking at? (If you don't click like to CNN, you get a lower score?) All those following junk information, and the MSM get the "Positive ratings"? I can see it now... "General public has decided, based upon their individual ratings, that the "Truth channel" is fake news, and by agreement, we are removing access to it, as a result of the agreements of the majority.

Shouldn't take long.. And all those who live to be judged by someone else's standards are going to feel great, because they're going to be told, They're voice is being heard. What a nightmare. It worked well with the "Credit rating system".. Why not try it again right? So many gullible people wanting some form of validation that they can wave around. SAD...

I had a sizable following on Facebook because I run an international organization, but I deleted my account yesterday. I couldn't take the Orwellian vibe any longer. There is certainly a quickening of the globalists showing their true colors.

By the way, I also recently read that the Firefox browser is fully cooperating with the take-down of sites deemed politically incorrect, so I am so glad that for the past three years I have spent most of my browsing time on Epic browser, which is based in India. Epic's default position is to block all third-party tracking. They have a box on the right side of the screen showing exactly who was trying to track you that they successfully blocked. Sometimes it is fifty to a hundred different companies.

Yes indeed, I still have a FB account, although dormant (I do not post). I saw today they now have next to people's names when they post or comment in small letters "Conversation starter" and "Joe Bloggs and 25 others are consistently creating meaningful discussions with their posts" with small icons obviously indicating rank of score. Other people have nothing next to their names, probably meaning they do not post enough, and who defines "meaningful" anyway??? The random posts I viewed from said so-called meaningful posters were anything but...

Incredible. I will watch a little longer to see what other "categories" show up and then I too will be out of there!

Yes, one article about that development with Mozilla:

Mozilla Firefox Goes All in for EVIL — They Want to Block Independent Media Sources at the Browser Level

Quote Remember the day you found out Google was steeped in pure evil? So you sought out a different browser to escape the evil overlords that run Chrome.

Many of us sought out Firefox from Mozilla, an organization with a strong history supporting free speech and open access to information.

But now Mozilla has joined the dark side. They’re jumping in bed with pure evil, pushing an “Information Trust Initiative” that would block independent media sources at the browser level while favoring corporate media giants like CNN, a cesspool of deliberately fake news.

Interesting. Now I understand why my brother uses a credit card to build a credit score rather than just using the money he already has in the bank. It seemed totally counter-intuitive to me when he told me that, but I should have known better than to think bankers would actually value straight and honest dealing.

I do think this "Social Crediting" system deserves a category in itself. For most people used to freedom of speech, access to services, and having rights, this is an absurdity. For a large part of the world, it is a reality already.

The phrase to watch out for, that consistently comes up in anything shaped around an imposed Social Credit score, is: "It is a privilege, not a right". They are doing this in immigration systems now, and in many other arenas.

At this stage, one can just walk away from FaceBook, and there are still alternatives out there, but what happens when access to basic services and societal infrastructure depends on your Social Credit score? What happens when you can no longer take public transport, or access the funds in your bank account?

Random examples: Chinese Journalist Banned From Flying, Buying Property Due To 'Social Credit Score'

China's social credit system has blocked people from taking 11 million flights and 4 million train trips

It is not only China, again, look for that term "It is a privilege, not a right" and you will find it has crept into the most basic areas of living:

Driving is a Privilege, Not a Right

Travel is a privilege, not a right

New Zealand Bans Home Sales To Most Foreigners: 'It's Not A Right, It's A Privilege'

Education is a Privilege not a Right

In many cases, the "Privilege versus Right" argument can have merit but it has in the past mostly been measured by criminal activity or outright illegal behavior - now it is being measured by Social Correctness.

Facebook is merely a pilot test (in my view) to measure how the broader population will respond when access to the ability to function in society is denied because of a low Social Credit Score. China’s New Tool for Social Control: A Credit Rating for Everything shows exactly how it is structured and I have extracted the image from this article which clearly shows how it is designed:

Quote Facebook is now rating the trustworthiness of its users as a part of the effort to tackle “fake news.”

The new trustworthiness score, which was first reported in the Washington Post, will work on a scale of zero to 1 and is one of thousands of new behavioral tools Facebook uses to monitor its users with...

For those not yet familiar with the Social Credit score methodology, more background is in the article Big data meets Big Brother as China moves to rate its citizens.
Excellent thread. This is the beginning of the ultimate control mechanism, and most people will willingly enter the cage. I see China has modified the name of it's social imprisonment program, which started out being Sesame Credit. The program also gives you demerits for associating with those who don't have high scores. Don't be fooled, this is the ultimate social programming that will encompass every aspect of your life. Those that don't want to play the game will become social pariahs. I find this absolutely repugnant and terrifying.

I believe the initial use on Facebook will be to discredit anyone or any organization that disagrees with the narrative facebook is promoting. Then. they will increase aspects of the programming until it encompasses all aspects of your life, very much like the financial scores given in the US.

SAD...

There is so much insight and wisdom in your post, I really appreciate your comments. A friend of mine was given financial "dings" because he had not used any form of credit until after the age of 30. He had the sound habit of not buying anything if he did not have the money to pay for it, he saved for things he needed to buy and that was considered bad. I guess he would have been better off if he would have taken out a couple of credit cards and bought a bunch of stuff he couldn't afford. It seems everything has become inverted these days.
