    Default The Paranormal in Russia

    Hey folks!

Some weeks ago I saw a video on Russian Ufo stories from the Researcher Paul Stonehill.
On his Youtube Channel he tells lot of stories about The Paranormal in Russia, including Kryptozoology, Ufos and Usos, also remarkable personas from Russia!

Paul Stonehill researched a lot over the years and highly recommend his channel-also to get a different approach to the whole UFO-Situation, since this Forum is more focused on the US-American side.

As you probably know, Russia is huge and there is lot of untouched and unexplored land too. In the Soviet Era, it was kind of impossible to find stories about this topic, since nobody talked about it. The KGB/FSB is not to joke with concerning this type of information. In the last centuries it was studied in the dark and in the last few years, information starts to come up.

There is a vast amount of Paranormal activities in the remote eastern regions of Russia, such as Yakutia, Kamtschatka, in the Amur region bordering China and close to Mongolia. Actually Mongolia is a hotspot for Ufos and the people there are more willing to talk about it.

Doctor of biological sciences, a brilliant sci-fi writer, and a bold visionary, Ivan Yefremov had written more than 100 scientific works. The KGB, Soviet secret police, believed he was an alien...Yefremov was equally at home among the stars, in the open ocean, in the cataclysms of the distant geological epochs, or in the nonexistent world of anti-matter.There had to be knowledge in his possession that has not been revealed fully. One month after his death in October of 1972, the KGB sealed off his modest apartment on the Spasoglinischevsky Pereulok, full of books, diaries, scientific treatises, maps, notebooks, and many other items...

Never heard of this guy, but wow-what visionary!

Also some stories about the Occult, Russian Psychics and what I find highly interesting:
Russian folklore of Taiga tribes about Paranormal events and todays matching sightings.

    Enjoy his channel!

This important (and fascinating) book, published in 1971, opened the eyes of many in the US to just how advanced Russian psychic research was at the time.

It helped usher in the US's response, which was the SRI research into Remote Viewing, famously headed by Hal Puthoff and Russell Targ and starring Url Geller plus several superstars from the Church of Scientology (Ingo Swann, Pat Price, et al). See
    Here's the book, highly recommended:

on Russian Psychics and the modern Russian "Merlin".

Chruschtschow was known for his "army of psychics and astrologers". Jelzin also had a "psychic security guard".

Bill - I purchased and read that book in 72 or 73, was an early contributor for a major kick-start to my interests in these areas. Still have it in my library.

At the time I was reading Castaneda, Leary, Targ, Christopher Hills, Grov, Taimni, and other Theosophy writers, and briefly subscribed to Rosicrucian weekly training docs before I got a bad feeling about that and stopped.
I don't believe anything, but I have many suspicions. - Robert Anton Wilson

The present as you think of it, and in practical working terms, is that point at which you select your physical experience from all those events that could be materialized. - Seth (The Nature of Personal Reality - Session 656, Page 293)
