    Hi Bill

What are your thoughts about official total population number? Do you think 7.53 billion (2017) is correct and can be trusted?
Yes, I'd see no reason to doubt the numbers — at least as pretty good approximations.

Also do you think the consciousness resides in the soul or it might go even beyond that, I mean the soul might be the manifestation of consciousness at another level.
Well, here we're rather colliding with problems of language and semantics. But basically yes, as best I know consciousness is a property of the individual soul.

I wonder if you ever plan Avalonian meeting . . .
The problem is always travel cost, of course: it's often $1000-$1300 to fly here from the US, and maybe $1300-$1900 (£1000-£1500) from Europe.
. . . brief off-topic comment: there are flights from Europe to Guayaquil (EC) for a price between 800-960 $ (700-860 €), when booked 3-6 months in advance, with a bit of patience. I‘ve done it twice.

Well, as I've shared on some of the MMS threads here:
    1. It can definitely sometimes work miracles. I witnessed one myself, which was remarkable, inexplicable, and life-changing for the astonished woman concerned.
    2. It doesn't work for everyone. A few people experience unpleasant effects, and no apparent benefit.
    3. The way it does work, when it does, may not yet be properly understood, even by Jim Humble himself.

Bill, what do you think about Tom Bearden? Many researchers mentioned his papers and books about classical EM Theory, but has anyone verified Tom Bearden's claims?

Many thanks, and my sincere apologies for being so long to reply. I've had quite a lot on my plate recently, and took a brief break from the forum last week. So I'm more than way behind.

I don't have an answer as good as your question: I'm not really qualified to cast judgment on the extent to which Bearden's work has been verified. (And in this arena of alternative science, 'verification' is often itself controversial and resolves little.)

For those unfamiliar with his work, here's a good summary: (and this is a great site, btw)
As best I know, he has indeed been contracted with the US military, and it's entirely possible that someone of his ability and creativity might have done work which has never been on public record.

It's a little hard to believe that he's not been inducted into the 'black' world of classified projects. (But the opposite argument is that the 'black world' scientists might already be so far ahead of the game that even Bearden's input might not have been needed.)

Here's one out of left field: I am really interested in local North Florida history. I am fortunate to be related to folks that have lived here for about as long as the city has been here (there's a beach and roads named after my extended family). However the old timers are getting older, my grandpa just turned 90. I'd like to interview on them on camera to record their stories and preserve some of my cities history.

What should I do for prep work? I figure I'll write down questions in advance rather than just go off the cuff. Do you have any advice other than that?

What a wonderful question. (And a great project. ) I'm hardly a professional documentarian, but I'll give this my best shot.
    • First, meet them off-camera, very informally, to ask them what they'd prefer or feel comfortable with. If they'd like to help out, it's possible some might prefer audio only. Always defer to their own preference. With anyone being interviewed, comfort is everything.
    • It's a good idea to have prepared questions, of course. That's a kind of backup, or a good place to start. But some interviewers out there stick with such strong glue to their own plan, they're not even listening carefully to the answer before they're focusing on their next planned question.

And sometimes that answer is so interesting (or unexpected), that one has to follow up on it with genuine interest, deviating from any plan one might have. I think that's very important — and also keeps it much more informal and genuinely conversational.

As this thread is now 41 pages long it is possible that this has been asked previously... if so, my apologies. If not, here it goes:

Bill, what di you think that happened during 2010-2014 behind the scenes that prevented mass awakening?

Why I assume that there was this kind of thing to happen is solely the reason that I know many who felt like something special is going to happen. Expectations were high and there truly was something magical in the air. But then the magic vaned.

In 2014 it started to feel like situation actually went south and fast. After that it has felt that there are just few sparks of light in the spreading darkness but in general "lightwarrior" after another just depresses, dies or abandons their mission.

Or is this all just my mind trying to build some kind of narrative to the chaos that was never nothing more?

    Bill,
(In my perception) there are quite a lot of posts on Avalon which I consider 'food for (very deep) thought', sadly they are mixed with posts from (what I call) 'wanna-be-gurus / attention-seekers / psychiatric patients'.

Do you take all Avalon posts seriously? If not, how do you deal with this? What is your background in logic and critical thinking?

I have a few questions for Bill as well, and I apologize if the answer has already been provided ─ I've read most of the thread, but not everything.

Bill, about two years ago or so ─ I remember it was around the time of your exchanges with the Dark Journalist ─ there was a creepy video being posted on YouTube of what was apparently your house in Ecuador, obviously by someone who was stalking you at the time.

So my questions are: have you ever found out who was behind this, what their motives may have been, and has there been any follow-up to that situation ─ legal or otherwise?

    Thanks in advance.

Bill, have you ever considered taking all the material from Avalon and writing a book? I am not necessarily talking about all the controversial stuff or the drama but some of the most interesting material. Say a chapter on UFOs, reincarnation, conspiracies, medicine, spirituality, extraterrestrials to name just a few topics. I think it would be an informative and fun read.
I am not necessarily raising my hand to sign up right now but I am sure you could find a lot of researchers within the ranks of the membership.
    Just a thought

I don't think anything special 'happened during 2010-2014 behind the scenes that prevented mass awakening' — because I don't think any magical awakening was imminent, as many 2012 proponents believed, wanted to happen, and were looking forward to happening.

When nothing did happen, that might not have been because anything was 'prevented'.

But what has been a continuing frog-in-the-pot factor, I'm pretty sure, is the dumbing-down effect of social media and all its spinoffs, and the associated reduction of attention span and ability for many to really look clearly and deeply at issues. We're largely living in a fast-food world now... and there's not all that much easily-found nourishment there for the soul, or for the intellect. It's there, of course... but one has to search, or be connected to communities like ours.

But that doesn't mean I disrespect those that I skip over. Of course, there's everything here: we have deep critical thinking about current issues, spirituality, health and wellness, the beauty of nature, everything in the human condition, together with music, humor, and [relative] trivia of all kinds.

And those who share their thoughts, experiences, or personal discoveries may be at different stages of their own journey. Shared personal insights are bound to be differently valuable to different people. Something that was an exciting, radical new concept for me 20 years ago might not be a new concept now. But for others, reading it here and now might literally change their lives.

Avalon is all laid out on a giant buffet table, and we can fill our plates with whatever we please.

My own background? Well, I'm a mathematician (long ago!). So I do feel I have logical thinking somewhere there in my toolkit. I like to think my critical thinking is in good shape... but then, don't we all?

I have a few questions for Bill as well, and I apologize if the answer has already been provided ─ I've read most of the thread, but not everything.

Bill, about two years ago or so ─ I remember it was around the time of your exchanges with the Dark Journalist ─ there was a creepy video being posted on YouTube of what was apparently your house in Ecuador, obviously by someone who was stalking you at the time.

So my questions are: have you ever found out who was behind this, what their motives may have been, and has there been any follow-up to that situation ─ legal or otherwise?

    Thanks in advance.
Yes, I did pretty quickly know exactly who'd taken the video. It was (a) shot from a private road behind a gate which only they have the key to, and (b) contained a couple of still photos (of myself) that were never posted on the net but which I had shared with them personally back in 2013. Not only was that a slam-dunk, but I later videoed them myself videoing my house from the same places.

I did nothing about it. It wasn't worth it. It would have made the situation far worse if I'd tried to take any action.

The best way of describing the situation is that they were a neighbor with a grudge. Interestingly, that's all now resolved, and a few months ago I had an amicable and most productive meeting with the person concerned. I should tell the story, because it's really rather exceptional.

It was my birthday, and early morning on my way off to a celebratory hike to a high mountain nearby, I stopped off at the local supermarket to buy a tiny chocolate cake for myself (really tiny! just a little cupcake, but it was delicious) — and a big juicy bone for Mara, my dog.

I walked through the door — and there was my enemy. Standing right there. He'd just arrived at the store, as well. But it was my birthday, and I was really looking forward to the hike, so I was fully energized and pretty happy.

I walked straight up to him and shook his hand. I'd not seen or talked with him for 5 years. I told him it was my birthday, and invited him for a pizza that evening after I'd returned from the mountain. I told him it would be all on me.

To his great credit, he accepted my invitation — he was maybe just too surprised to do anything else. But we met for a pizza, and cleared up a great many things.

Neither of us ever referred to the video.

Ha. Many people have suggested I should write a book. I tell that to myself sometimes, when looking in the mirror.

But OMG, it's hard work, takes a great deal of time and discipline (ask Walter Bosley, who I'm sure you know is a member here), and I suspect is often rather unrewarding unless one hits it big, although that can very occasionally happen quite by accident.

I mean, who reads books any more? One might labor pretty hard for 6 months to write something that very few people ever read or even know about.

I did think of a format where I'd collect the very best of Avalon (but there's a task ) and assemble it into bite-sized 2 or 3 page chunks, rather like Mark Victor Hansen's Chicken Soup for the Soul. That might be do-able.

The title might be something like A Banquet for the Hungry Mind. (I just thought of that... )

Which are your top three favourite Avalon threads?
'Favourite' isn't really an appropriate word. Meaning, I don't have threads which I go to at the start of every day, as someone might bookmark a music or a jokes thread, or a thread they'd started themselves about something they're very interested in. (I don't have any threads bookmarked at all.)

The best and most valuable thread on Avalon — in my opinion without a doubt — is Houman's eclectic, remarkable and far-reaching Horus-Ra as the Archontic Alien Parasite: A follow-up interview with Maarit.

In 3700+ posts since the first one in February 2012 — more than half by Houman — the topics discussed have veered far from where it all started. But trust me here (and this is because I know who Houman is, and have had the privilege of meeting him several times): if he says something, or points at something, or quotes something — pay attention.
