Quite a mishmash! A couple of excerpts to give you an idea:
"#6 — The fact that classic rock stars such as Roger Waters and U2 have toured America over the past year calling out Trump for the fascist swine that he is should be telling as to his true nature. But most Trump backers seem to be squares who have little if any clue about how the rock and roll counterculture movement is about peace and love, something the Trump regime sits on the opposite side of the spectrum from."
"#10 — And last but not least, the UFO cover-up. While certain charlatans in the UFOlogy movement like David Wilcock and Michael Salla are pushing the idea that the Trump regime is “taking on the cabal” and getting ready to offer some sort of “Disclosure”, all of the preceding points indicate how absurd this is. Disclosure would inherently lead to a paradigm shifting revolution that would change the world with the free energy technology that Earth’s visitors use to get here. If Trump offers anything here, it’s certain to be a small bit of truth sandwiched between a large amount of deception to spark some sort of profiteering scheme to weaponize space while holding back the deeper cosmic reality. This may in fact be why Tom DeLonge and his To the Stars Academy project gained so much traction in 2017, because they view Trump as an obstacle and are going after the truth that Trump wouldn’t dare disclose."

Bono hangs out with the Pope and monarchs because he's involved in child trafficking.

I was expecting all the Trump supporters here on Avalon to be explaining to us what happened in the mid-term election yesterday and what are the consequences.

To tell the truth, very few people outside the US understand how your political system works, and its election impact.

But hey, nothing, to my surprise.

Any American ready to dip its feet in explanations to the rest of the forum who are not Americans? Trump supporters or not?

Yes. That is what I meant. However, unless I actually see Bono trafficking or he confesses, I prefer not to state anything other than the obvious, which is he consorts with politicians and queens. That tells me something.

Hi Flash. It will take a while before the big reports come in, but from today, this is what a non-profit called Social Security Works had to say in their email update:
"Seniors are the untold story of this election. According to exit polls, older voters abandoned Republicans in droves, handing Democrats a decisive victory in the House of Representatives. It’s not hard to see why.

Mitch McConnell said before the election that he would try to use the price tag of his tax giveaway as an excuse to cut Social Security and Medicare benefits. Seniors heard him loud and clear.

This election presented the strongest contrast between the two parties in decades, with Democrats united in support of expanding benefits while Republicans used their $2 trillion tax handout to the wealthy as an excuse to demand cuts.

The corporate media is billing this result as a split decision. It’s not. Americans overwhelmingly supported Democratic candidates in the House, allowing them to overcome voter suppression, gerrymandering, and a political party that is willing to lie enthusiastically in order to cling to power.

Seniors saw through the lies and elected candidates to the House who will fight to expand Social Security and Medicare, and voted in three states for ballot measures that will expand Medicaid.

But as ever, the fight continues. Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell are going to work overtime to jam through as much bad stuff as they can before the new Congress is sworn in. We have fought hard together and won together over the last 2 years, and we are going to keep fighting."

And this from another non-profit, Environmental Working Group:
"The voters went to the polls Tuesday night and delivered a rebuke of the Trump administration and a strong backing for public health and environmental protection.

The new majority in the House of Representatives means there will be new leadership at the head of powerful committees, including the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which oversees the Environmental Protection Agency and the Federal Drug Administration.

In light of these results, EWG is revisiting our 2019 priorities and reviewing our budgets. We have a real opportunity to push back on the Trump administration’s anti-health, anti-environment agenda and want to make sure we’re ready."

    From Food Policy Action:
"2018 will be remembered as the year of the woman! Women candidates and women voters. And suburban women voters were key to control of Congress in the 2018 mid-term elections.

In this election, FPA was the right messenger to persuade and motivate these voters on issues they think about with every meal. They needed the information we could provide – and validate – to become informed voters and get to the polls.

We reached out to busy, low-information women voters through paid, targeted advertising on social media. We chose key districts where our message could make a difference and that no other organization's message could persuade in the same way.

With all this in mind, we chose two districts that were ripe for the picking on good food policy:

    • In Virginia’s 7th Congressional District, Congressman Dave Brat has an 8% lifetime score on Food Policy Action’s An Eater’s Guide to Congress Scorecard.
    • In California’s 25th Congressional District, Congressman Steve Knight has a 32% lifetime score on Food Policy Action’s An Eater’s Guide to Congress Scorecard.

In these districts, Food Policy Action Education Fund used social media to get out a message about Congressmen Brat’s and Knight’s poor records on how food gets to their families’ plates. We focused solely on these low-turnout voters where we could make the most difference and then pushed out messages from our chef network highlighting their “Recipe for Voting” for Get-Out-The-Vote efforts.

RESULT: Brat was defeated by Abigail Spanberger by less than 1.5%.
RESULT: Knight was defeated by Katie Hill by 2.5%.

BOTTOM LINE: Food Policy Action’s strategies to contact a micro-targeted slice of eligible voters with a powerful message about safe, healthy, affordable food and the ways it reaches our plates made the difference in two close Congressional races. "

From Save the Children Action Network:
"You did it! Thanks to Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) supporters like you, we raised critical kids’ issues – like quality preschool and child care – this election cycle.

All around the country in the lead up to yesterday, volunteers approached candidates to ask how they would invest in kids if they were elected. From gubernatorial candidates to state lawmakers to congressional candidates, volunteers showed up nearly 150 times to show candidates that kids should be a priority. In addition to raising the visibility of early learning with candidates, we also had tremendous victories around the country. SCAN-endorsed gubernatorial candidates Michelle Lujan Grisham (D-NM), Gov. Phil Scott (R-VT) and Gina Raimondo (D-RI) all won last night on platforms of significantly expanding early childhood education.

In each of these states, we educated voters about the candidates’ ambitious plans for helping children with mail pieces and broadcast and digital ads. Our staff, volunteers and supporters will be working side-by-side with these governors to help expand early learning programs, like affordable child care and universal preschool, in these states. We also won in Seattle, where voters passed Proposition 1 which would provide more funding for preschool programs for kids living in poverty. Our volunteers knocked on doors, called voters and wrote letters to the editor to help persuade the public that this investment in kids was worth making. "

Jayke, mgray and myself commented on the U.S. election, over on the Q thread, in response to a key drop from Q on the topic, which starts at Post #7640 of that thread.

Trump's support in the U.S. Senate, where judges and cabinet level officials are confirmed is strengthened, which is key to what will be happening next. The Democrats risk over playing their hand with their new found majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.

I thought I was going to read a thoughtful prosaic on why Trump may or may not disclose UFO information. Instead, it was a hateful diatribe targeted at Trump and his supporters with a few UFO points thrown in. If you had been a bit more specific I would not have wasted my time reading it.

Well, the Democrats took back control of the House, which follows an unfortunate trend of the incumbent president usually losing house seats in every mid-term.

But, the Republicans were able to consolidate their hold on the Senate. So this what's likely to happen:

    - Democrats will be in control of the budget, which means there will be no more tax cuts, they'll probably want to spend lots more money per usual, and the likelihood of agreement between the House and Senate is less, let alone before getting to the President's desk.

    - Democrats will take control of the investigations that were previously being led by the Republicans in the House, and launch a whole bunch of their own. Unfortunately for them, they will have no more authority in demanding access to documents than the Republican-controlled House did. Rosenstein and the DOJ kept blocking House Republicans, and now the new guy at DOJ says he won't be cooperating with House Democrats. So the shoe is on the other foot as far as that goes now.

    - The House Republicans' investigation, meanwhile, has been booted up to the Senate, which has more oversight power. Chuck Grassley heads the Senate Judiciary Committee, and you can expect to be seeing him more often.

    - Trump isn't likely to get funding specifically for the border wall for the next two years, so he'll probably pay for it out of the military budget like he threatened to do earlier. The Army Corps of Engineers would be perfect. There is no more classic military objective than defending our borders.

    - RINOs like McCain, Flake, and Corker are no longer in the Senate, so there shouldn't be a question anymore of whether or not the Republicans can gather enough votes for a confirmation of a judge or cabinet member. It should be more of a rubber-stamp now, given that Trump keeps nominating the right people.
