Please let us know how Sierra is, and if she was able to get any news of Martha.

I was disgusted that the authorities refused rescuers access ‘in case pets were wrongly appropriated’, yet many pets were left desperately needing help.

Then there was an image of Paradise ice rink lately... this defies logic, in fact is totally horrendous. So many unreported missing, a vile atrocity by those evil entities purporting to represent humanity in government. If I looked at my comment here a few years ago, I would say to myself “don’t be stupid”, but now I know I am NOT stupid, and will not be duped ever again.

I’m not in touch with Sierra. Based on an earlier post, it could be that Sierra, Dave and Pippin are busy setting up their new home.

    Sierra wrote:
Kristin has been talking with an off the grid community in New Mexico, very close to Silver City where my BFF lives! We could actually afford to live there on my social security, a refuge until David’s social security kicks in.

I feel so wretched for how scared and hurting she must have been.

I won’t get another cat, because I’m seventy, and McKnao lived to be 18, despite his diabetes, and twice daily shots. It devastates me, to think of my baby in middle or old age looking for adoption if I died, cause people don’t adopt older cats. I feel so bereft at the idea of life without a cat to love. Maybe I can find an older cat that will love me. I worry about Pippin though. Pippin is really hard on other cats... kind of a bully actually.

While Pippin only sleeps with me, he only cuddles with his daddy. I’ll have to make a video of what Pippin thinks a cuddle is. It hilarious.

I’m not giving up. We’ll go back and call her some more. David wants to try and find her bones. I would treasure some bones. They would go into a Shaman bag.

    Much later:

I am coming out of my shell.

I have a movie of our little neighborhood. I haven’t converted it yet, Bill will help me post it.

We’re back in Chico now. It’s much better here.

I got the flu, then I got bronchitis. Got the flu again, and have an ear infection now. Sheesh.

Pyrangelo, Truglvartna, thank you for sharing. It hurts so bad. Pauler, I love you. I KNOW I will feel okay eventually, but even trying to write this has me sobbing so hard I can’t see. I just hate that Martha died terrified alone hurting. It just breaks me. The regret I feel.

I have never been able to shove my mind away from a bad thought before. I can now. If I catch it fast enough, and think about something else.

Okay, enough. I will get past this. I just have to cry when I need to cry and then I’m okay for awhile.

Insurance is giving us an allowance for food and rent, so we’re in the process of renting a house in New Mexico. We’re relieved because even though the place Kristin connected us to sounds like utter Paradise, my husband just can’t walk with a cane to the outhouse a football field away.

This was brought home to us during the flu, lol. We would have had to wear diapers to make it to the outhouse. Yes, I know, gross and TMI.

We’re still invited to come and visit the secret commune so I look forward to that. I want to meet these people very much. Our sponsor, Wayne, asked Dave a question, which Dave passed on to me, saying I was the one up to speed on the topic. Wayne asked what did I think of David Wilcock, which had me in hysterics.

Oh dear, I hope Wayne doesn’t admire him or something, because I don’t. Ever since the biggest ego on the planet said he was a reincarnation of the extremely modest, retiring, and accurate, repeat, accurate reader of past and future events, and healing modalities. Dumbfounding. WHY on earth would one so severely devolve in character, honesty, and spirit, between one lifetime and the next? It makes no sense.

I’ve bought coats, ugg boots, mittens, shawls, and a sweater as well as tops and pants. THANK YOU. You are utter dear hearts. I used to wear a lot of neutrals, white, beige, taupe, black. Now I look like a Swedish child’s storybook in red, blue, yellow, green, lol. The new coats are still proper neutral colors so I can cover up if I look too exuberant, lol.

The car we abandoned on the day of the fire to walk down Skyway, survived, er, did not burn up actually. I found my sister’s cotton dress and Turkish coat in the trunk which made me SO happy. And a wool jacket that was in the seat. It has tiny burns on it. I want to embroider “Paradise Strong” around the burns, lol.

We’ve been going up to the house calling Martha, rooting through the ashes, and leaving bags of apples for the deer (people have been asked to feed the wild life, because they are going hungry). It’s really nice to sit and look at the view. Lots of neighbors also rooting for surviving items. The things that survived are the stone items. Plant pots, a stone goose, the Buddha and the bench... and a little iron antique toy truck. Paul went through the Avalon backups and I have some pictures of McKnao (my avatar) and a few pictures of Martha.

The neighbor across the street has four chickens who came to visit us lol. She said she let them out into the back yard as usual on the day of the fire, and went to work in Sacramento. They all survived! So did her house! Not a scratch on the chickens, beautiful feathers in perfect condition.

Our insurance is pretty good. Not as good as State Farm and Farmers. We’ve heard they’ve disbursed 100% in all categories at least to some people. We’re getting 50% in the property category and will have to make lists of the house contents, despite the governor asking the insurance companies to automatically disburse 75%. Hoo boy. That is not going to be fun. Pyrangelo, we will not settle quickly. Thank you for the information, so good to know.

I’ll post pictures of the view and the neighborhood video soon.

I love you. You are such good people. Bill, thank you for this community.

I hear you, Sierra, about the cat especially. I had a kitty for 12 years who died a few years ago and though I miss her like crazy and would love to have another cat, I am 70 now, and could not bear to leave a homeless cat behind, plus I don't have the income to take proper care of one anymore, especially an older cat.
What about a portable composting potty to eliminate trips to the outhouse?
So nice to hear from you and the news that you are recovering.
    Hugs, Natalie

    Dearest Sierra,

I’m happy to know you all are doing well in the larger scheme of things. Weird how those sad moments can take up so much space.
    .....................

I enjoyed your post. It’s alive with visual texture and those signature-Sierra-sillies sprinkled in.

Same here. I’d love a new puppy. But I worry that if something happened to me no one would know to come help him.

    With heart and love,
    Paula

I'm very sorry about your cat Sierra, if your cat has passed on , you will be reunited one day again .Hugs .

As for the insurance company, When my one house burned down , the insurance company said they would rebuild and replace the house as that's what the insurance was for OR they would give me a 60% cash buyout. If your at 50% on the property you may be way more ahead to have them rebuild and then just sell it. I kept telling my adjuster if your going to jam me for 40% then rebuild the house and I just may sell it when its done. Then I reviewed their contractor who gave the estimate to rebuild my house because that's the number the insurance company uses. Their contractor had 6k in for baseboard hot water heat which included the boiler, lol. Home depots contractor came back with an estimate of 12,500.00 to replace what was exactly there. Same for the windows, I had 1 window 8ft x 8ft. There contractor gave an estimate of $1000.00 to replace the window so they were going to give me $600.00 if I didn't replace it. I told them to replace it, The window costs was $3200.00 not including installation. After a few more rounds with the adjuster he wanted to settle with me because that original number of rebuilding the house estimate was going up weekly by me challenging them with other estimates .In 2 weeks I had the rebuild costs up another 40k and that was only on a few items . If they keep using their contractors numbers your already starting in the hole? I think if I remember right I ended up at around 80% of what the rebuild costs would have been. In Michigan they have 6 months to settle the claims and close the case.

I also had an inside track on what the entire claim could be , the insurance company puts a set aside number on what the maximum costs could be contents and property. They put a number on it that was 40% higher than what everything actually settled for just so you know its ok to challenge, present new bids ect ect.

As for the contents, on my dads property it took me 40 hours to categorize and find replacement costs for every item in the house. Then they depreciate the items based on how old. Some things came in higher and some things came in lower. Like all my movie collection 500, they gave me $2.00 for each movie which sucked, then on a rabbit head mount they gave me 3 times what I paid for it. Its aggravating, its frustrating, and stepping back for a week when your tired of it is a good thing, recharge and then go to battle again. On my dads property the insurance company approved some items and then other items not. Then I would take what they didn't pay , redo the list and resubmit the same stuff. One adjuster over the phone told me my dad couldn't have a bedroom set like the one I was saying because he didn't live that type of lifestyle! Lets just say its a good thing he was on a phone and not by me in person........................................... So just know how the game is played and then it won't be so frustrating, PM me as your going thru this if you need anymore assistance or I will give you my cell number. You'll be fine in the end, just stick to your guns, if they tell you they need to know by 5 pm today , tell them you need time to think about it and 5pm won't work. My adjuster told me to call him back right away, my right away took me a week.

Stay on your path, take deep breathes and just keep knowing everything will work out eventually and it will. Faith young lady!

Sierra, I once read an account of a doctor who was stabbed by a patient of his. He insisted he was out of his body while the terror and pain was being experienced. He said he was with a very loving and protective presence and felt no pain.

I am sure Little Martha had the same protection.

Val, your post reminded me of an old one of mine. In case more context is needed: I live in a complex on a farm where my landlady and her husband raise horses, chickens and tend to their organic garden (among other things). One of my neighbors shared in the chores in trade for a place for her horse. This particular morning, I didn't know Mikie, her dog had passed.

    Repost:

I read where some pets large and small meet up with their love ones and carry on. I found comfort in that knowledge. Shortly after, I experienced it first hand:
My neighbor, Barbara had a dog named, Mikie. As part of his training, she’d walk him around the circle driveway, and also he’d accompanied her with the chores like empty trash and care for the horses. Always the same trot from both of them, and same hand positions with the leash.

One morning, Barbara emptied the trash and came around the circle. Only this time, she walked with an invisible leash, the same hand positions as usual. And Mikie? He was trotting right by her side only in his light-body. I blinked a couple of times, still in disbelief.

That afternoon, Barbara dug a deep hole with the farm equipment next to the horse fence. Then she walked the circle alone with a wrapped up bundle. She lowered herself into the knee deep hole, and gently laid her Mikie to rest.

Mikkie story reminds me of Noirette. Mini Flash, my daughter, got a black cat she chose amongst a whole litter when she was 6 years old. I had gotten that cat for her because she could barely organise her sentences and speak, and apart from me, nobody had the patience to wait and wait for her to finish her sentences.

I thought she could tell all her problems to her cat, who would be patient. And, as foreseen, this is what happened. Noirette and Mini Flash built a strong relationship, Noirette sleeping with Mini Flash and miauwing the hell out when Mini would not be home.

Well, one (correction, fout years ago, wowww time flies) year ago Noirette got very sick and we had to put her down. Mini Flash came with me to the vet and we both assisted our little one for her departure. When daughter could stop crying, we came back home in the car (few blocks). And Mini Flash saw Us passing Noirette in her light body walking back home on the sidewalk.

Sierra, both Mini and I are full of compassion for you and your cat.

I have a friend who is an animal psychic, though retired now, I think.
She would have people send her photos of their pets and any questions they might have.
She would go into trance and talk to the animals, who would tell her all kinds of interesting things, including about past lives when they had been with the same owner.
Animals reincarnate too, and when they forge strong bonds with humans, it helps them to progress as more consciously sentient beings.
And when we have strong emotional bonds with animals, it enables them to return to us again and again, in new bodies.
My friend says that they make the transitions much more easily than we do, as they don't have the same kind of amnesia, and having shorter lifespans may help as well.
I imagine the other dimensions are not so far away, from their perspective...
    Each breath a gift...
