Default 500 missiles/mortars let loose in last 36 hours from Gaza

If this continues to escalate today more than it has in the last 36hours we are in serious trouble. And hardly no media is covering this.

ONGOING: 500 MISSILES/MORTARS FIRED INTO ISRAEL FROM GAZA **TODAY; ISRAELI ARMOR BEING MOVED TO GAZA; ALL IDF RESERVES ACTIVATED

    The prequels:

Eight dead in undercover Israeli operation in Gaza

    By wmw_admin on November 12, 2018

Oliver Holmes, Hazem Balousha — The Guardian Nov 12, 2018

Israeli forces have killed seven Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in an apparently botched undercover raid and ensuing firefight that has threatened to destroy a precarious, unofficial ceasefire.

An Israeli lieutenant colonel was killed and another officer wounded in the operation on Sunday night in south-east Gaza, the first known ground incursion there by Israeli forces since the last war in 2014.

In apparent response to the gunfight, more than a dozen rockets were launched from the Hamas-controlled enclave overnight, and the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, cut short a visit to Paris, where he had been gathering with world leaders for a first world war commemoration.

Bomb sirens sounded in Israeli communities along the frontier and the military said its anti-air defences had intercepted three of the rockets. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage in Israel.

Hamas’s armed wing, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, released a statement overnight claiming Israeli forces had “infiltrated this evening in a civilian car” and had opened fire on a group of its armed men near the city of Khan Younis, killing one of its commanders. Its fighters had given chase as the vehicle sped away, it said.

During the pursuit, Israeli aircraft had “carried out bombardments to cover the withdrawal of this force”, it added.

Medics and Hamas officials said at least seven people were killed, four of them militants, including the Hamas commander Nour Baraka.

Israel had largely abandoned its tactic of targeting senior Hamas officials in recent years. Its military said in a short statement:
“During an IDF [Israel Defence Forces] Special Forces operational activity in the Gaza Strip, an exchange of fire evolved.”
One officer was killed and a second was wounded, it said. The IDF said later that the “special operation yesterday was not intended to kill or abduct terrorists, but to strengthen Israeli security”, without specifying how.

Israeli media reported the operation had been to gather intelligence. The public radio station Kan reported IDF special forces had their cover blown as a result of a technical malfunction and became pinned down.

Residents in the area where the fighting took place said the car being driven by the soldiers, some of whom were dressed as women, had been stopped by Baraka, who asked for identification. The soldiers shot him with a silenced gun before speeding to an olive grove, where they were extricated by helicopter. Hamas militants in pursuit had been bombed by air, residents said, and Israeli aircraft destroyed the car used by its forces once they had left. Later on Monday a Hamas member in the neighbourhood refused to comment on the accounts.

The incident threatens an unofficial ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Last week, Israel, which blockades the 140sq mile area, allowed shipments of fuel into the strip to supply electricity plants and reduce crippling power cuts. It also permitted Qatar to deliver $15m (£12m) in aid as backpay for thousands of unpaid civil servants.

Violence has flared frequently on the frontier since Palestinians began weekly protests in March. Israel responded to the movement with lethal fire, killing about 170 demonstrators and injuring thousands more.

Bloodshed has continued for seven months, with Hamas and Israel fighting an on-off war of airstrikes and rockets. Egypt, Qatar and the United Nations have been working to broker a long-term ceasefire.

Netanyahu’s cabinet, dominated by hawkish politicians from rival factions, has been bitterly divided on what policy to implement in Gaza, even as Israeli military commanders have warned against escalations.

Gaza Burns Hotter Than Hollywood But There's Nobody to Put The Fires Out

The world is fixated by the forest fires in Hollywood burning down stars' mansions. With supreme irony some of them belong to those who helped raise millions of dollars for the Israeli Army which is now burning the hovels of Gaza.

The Hollywood warriors have insurance of course, and other homes too, sometimes many of them. The hovel-dwellers of Gaza have neither.

The brave firefighters of California are well-equipped and have the wind of hope of millions of well-wishers at their backs. There are no firefighters in Gaza.

The hovels of Gaza are unfortunately well-known to me, since long before Hamas even existed. In fact I saw Hamas be born, and Israel was the midwife. I was a comrade of Yasser Arafat then the Chairman of the secular PLO, an Arab nationalist, whose executive committee consisted of Arab nationalists and Moscow-aligned leftists like the PFLP led by the late Dr George Habash.

Israel feared this then zeitgeist in the Arab world so they turned, as the British had earlier in seeking to undermine Egypt's President Nasser, to the Islamists. The Muslim Brotherhood, a client of the British in Egypt had brothers in Gaza of course. Those brothers became Hamas with the full cooperation of Israel.

I saw with my own eyes the open development of Islamism in Gaza, a catspaw against Arafat and the PLO. While the gaols (and the graveyards) were full of PLO men, the roads were choc-a-block with Islamist society vehicles. Communities were served by Islamic schools, hospitals & civic-society institutions of all kinds. Permitted, encouraged, sometimes financed by Israel. It was divide and rule in perfect harmony.

Of course, that was nearly 40 years ago and none of the leaders of Hamas then are still alive - by one means or another. The Hamas Israel thought it was developing as a client long-ago outgrew that role and is now a formidable fighting force which can be slaughtered from the air of course (along with anyone nearby) but on the ground, face to face, not so much.

Whilst a ceasefire was in place and peace talks were taking place in Cairo between Israel and Hamas, Netanyahu sent a special forces commando undercover into Gaza to assassinate a Hamas military commander and in the accompanying firefight an Israeli commander was slain. And all hell broke loose. As I write the dogs of war are unleashed and havoc has ensued.

Increasingly accurate Hamas missiles have been fired with greater accuracy and quantity. Israeli warplanes are bombing and rocketing like there was no tomorrow (with an unlimited guarantee of more from Donald Trump). This week the Palestinian television station Al Aqsa was eviscerated in an air-strike about which the Israeli government boasted on Twitter. Like Yugoslav TV in Belgrade, like the Al Jazeera TV station in Baghdad, the slaughter of tea-ladies, make-up departments, camera-operators and, of course, journalists has elicited only stony silence from Western media outlets.

The fourth estate, rightly scandalized by the kidnap, torture, murder and dismemberment of the Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, is unmoved by the dismemberment of Palestinian journalists.

The media solidarity, triggered by Donald Trump withdrawing the White House credentials of CNN journalist Jim Acosta, who none of us had ever heard of, working for a station that none of us ever watches, was impressive. The withdrawal of the life's blood of TV make-up ladies hasn't even made the news, especially on CNN.

For them as with the other Western fake-news machines, the clock starts ticking when Israel says it does and when Israel "responds". That the response is a response to a provocation matters not a jot or tittle.

In any case, nobody working in the Western media today either knows or cares that the root cause of this is the existence of the barbed wire enclave called Gaza.

Two million Palestinians locked in a tiny strip of land (it's called the Gaza Strip for a reason) with no entry or exit guaranteed and overwhelmingly refused. Eighty percent of those two million are refugees there, looking through the barbed wire at their own property now occupied by others. When they approach the fence they are mercilessly cut down by snipers.

Since March, tens of thousands of Palestinians have been wounded at the Gaza fence. Hundreds have been killed including children, women, nurses and of course the press. Hundreds of limbs have been amputated, many have been blinded, left eyeless in Gaza. They were unarmed, in their "own territory" and had not remotely reached the fence which, entirely unilaterally, the Israelis have demarcated as their border.

Anwar al-Ghandour, an eight-month-old baby, dies of tear gas inhalation, May 2018© Mahmoud Hamda

Throughout the last ten years or more the Palestinians in Gaza have endured bitter cold in winter & baking heat in summer, with deliberately-rationed electricity supplies controlled by Israel. Often there is none, at best four hours per day. Medical supplies and foodstuffs frequently perish as refrigeration fails.

Israel controls the water supply too and most of Gaza never has access to clean potable water.

Even the sea off Gaza is remorselessly controlled with abundant fish-stocks only harvestable by fisherman at the risk of their lives, which are frequently lost.

It is a ghetto of suppurating suffering. It is a crucifixion of an entire population. But it is not the whole story.

The whole story goes back much farther and is beyond the scope of this article. Palestine no longer exists, it is wiped off the map. Its people are scattered to the four corners of the earth as exiles and refugees, or live in the Bantustans of the West Bank, the illegally annexed Holy City of Jerusalem, or in besieged Gaza. Until this is resolved and as long as a single Palestinian remains alive there will be resistance, there will be trouble. It is this story that all the world's governments and all their institutions have singularly failed to meaningfully address.

And so for now, and for the future, there will be much wailing, rending of garments, and gnashing of teeth in the Terra Santa.

In fact, all the mainstream media is...
We need to be diligent at Avalon, to NOT accidentally repeat Zionist propaganda. (Quick refresher: "Zionism" is a political ideology - an imperialist ideology. Zionism is not Judaism, it's not Jews, it's not Israeli citizens, and it has nothing to do with people who are actually "Semite." Zionism is one of the greatest evil forces on Earth. Zionists are the enemy of the rest of humanity.)

That NY Times article reads as if it was written by the Ministry of Zionist Propaganda of the Israeli government. It so flagrantly and fraudulently pretends as if there are equal opponents and equal culpability of Palestine to Israel. The racist, apartheid state of Israel has already stolen the entire country of Palestine. All that remains of Palestine are small areas surrounded by 20-foot prison walls erected by the Zionist occupiers - it's an open-air prison!

War? WAR? How do you define war? If a human had a dozen fruit flies trapped in a jar, and the human decided it was going to kill the flies, would you call that a "war?" Maybe a better analogy is the Israelis throwing all the Palestinians in a garbage truck, and hitting the mechanism to crush them all. Any Palestinians who complain or try to escape being crushed are then labeled "Hamas terrorists" and are murdered by the Zionists.

There is no war in Palestine, only slow-motion genocide of Palestinians by the Zionist Israelis.

500 missiles? MISSILES? Yeah, the Palestinians fired Tomahawk missiles or a Hellfire missiles probably, right? I mean, the Israeli propaganda department wouldn't characterize homemade fireworks as missiles, right? Those plucky Palestinian prisoners fabricated and fired 500 missiles into Israel, huh? When you take into account the "kill radius" of missiles, probably thousands of innocent Israeli women and children were killed, right? I mean FIVE HUNDRED MISSILES! Well, at least 500 people must have been killed, right? Or injured, right? Or 50, right? 1 out of 10 "missiles" must have hurt someone, right, I mean, these are MISSILES, fer god's sake! Well then, 1 out of 100 must have caused some deaths... no? No. Injuries? No. None. Hey, wait a minute, Buck Rogers, you mean to tell me that Israel was attacked by warriors from Palestine that shot 500 missiles into Israel, and no one was killed, no one was injured?

So, let's get this straight: Israel attacked Palestinians inside the prison walls that Israel erected, killed 7 (more) Palestinian people (added to the approximately 170 that have been murdered in the past few months by Israeli snipers, shooting into the prison - for daring to walk up to the prison cage wall and yell.) Some of the Palestinian prisoners "retaliated" by farting into a hurricane, er, I mean, shooting a bunch of "bottle-rocket"-class fireworks towards Israel (where they hit nothing and no one.) And the Israel Department of Zionist Propaganda writes headlines such as:

"GAZA FIRESTORM Israel hits back at Hamas after ‘largest ever’ barrage of 300 rockets fired from Gaza" (so yeah, was it 300, or 500?)
    and
"Gaza-Israel frontier calms as enemies warily cease fire"
    and
"Cost of Botched Gaza Spy Mission? Israel’s Back on Brink of War"

And the vast majority of citizens of the USA, INC. and the world as ruled by the 6 media giant corporations swallow it all down as if it is truth.

Avalon needs to do better than to assist the Israel Department of Zionist Propaganda.
