Default American Legion joins VFW in demanding investigation of USS Liberty incident

Very coincidental timing on this, but who is going to argue with these veterans, that 34 dead American sailors deserve justice, even if it's decades late?

Quote American Legion Joins VFW in Calling for Congressional Investigation of Israel's Attack on USS Liberty

Due to the persistence of surviving crew members and the continual emergence of new revelations, the national veteran's group American Legion has passed Resolution 40 calling for Congress to "publicly, impartially, and thoroughly" investigate the attack by Israel on an American ship in 1967, in which 34 American sailors were killed and hundreds of others were wounded. The resolution comes despite a veil of government secrecy which keeps key documents on the attack classified more than 50 years later. [NSA USS Liberty documents]

Israel claimed to have mistaken the USS Liberty for an Egyptian vessel, but the Liberty looked absolutely nothing like the Egyptian vessel. I'm not an expert on the subject, but I've heard that intercepted Israeli communications that have since come out have also indicated that the Israelis knew exactly what they were doing.

Not to mention, even if it were an honest mistake, you'd think they'd have quickly realized the difference once they were close enough to actually start killing our soldiers.

This all happened on LBJ's watch, the same guy intimately involved in the plot to kill Kennedy. It's too late to hold him to account, but things can still be made right in other ways. Many of the survivors of the attack are still alive.

This is the story of the little known Operation CYANIDE, and how it was the Russians that ultimately saved the Liberty's remaining crew from certain death.

Few people in America or Russia are aware of the crucial and heroic role played by Destroyer 626/4 of the Soviet Navy during the Six-Day War in June, 1967. The commander and crew of this ship guarded the American intelligence vessel GTR-4, better known as the USS Liberty, after the attack on it by the combined air and naval branches of the Israeli Defense Force. The Zionist attack was coordinated with elements of the US Navy, US intelligence and the White House.

The top-secret plan was known as Operation Cyanide and was intended to result in the sinking of the Liberty with all hands, to be blamed on Egypt and exploited to permit the bombing of Cairo and the entry of the United States into the war on Israel’s side. The Soviet Union’s relationships with Arab countries would have been damaged and perhaps cut, with America and Israel seizing control of all Mid-East oil production. Israel’s borders would have expanded from the Nile to the Euphrates Rivers.

For some reason, the attack failed to sink the Liberty, despite tons of explosives, rockets, cannon-fire, napalm and six torpedoes expended against the ship in attacks that went on for almost two hours. Nuclear-armed American bombers were launched against Cairo from a US aircraft carrier but were recalled when the Liberty managed to send a distress signal with a repaired radio and antenna. The operation had to be abandoned because it required absolute radio silence and the disappearance of the ship. The initial strike by IDF fighters destroyed all antennae, combined with jamming of all five secret radio frequencies.

The American president, Lyndon B. Johnson, was under the influence of several Zionist intelligence agents, namely Arthur and Mathilde Krim, Arthur Goldberg, the Rostow brothers, Abe Feinberg and others. He was the most important member of Operation Cyanide.

Destroyer 626/4 came to the aid of the Liberty in the aftermath of the attack and stuck by her until US forces were allowed to approach about seventeen hours later. It has been reported that the American submarine, USS Amberjack, was standing by to sink the Liberty and save the operation but the presence of 626/4 prevented this from happening. There is also evidence that the Amberjack filmed the attack.

Of note, and perhaps tellingly, were reports of a high-flying NSA jet the circled the area for some 4 hours during, and after, the attack.

I'll link to a BBC documentary that has some good information for those that are interested.

Thank you for posting that, CHB. I'd never heard about that, and it's a real eye-opener.

So the Israelis went for the antennae right off the bat, but our boys were able to repair one of them while under heavy attack to send out that signal. Thirty-four American sailors were killed and hundreds wounded.

And LBJ absolutely betrayed them, while the Russians saved their lives, albeit for the Russians' own reasons.

Reading this kind of stuff absolutely disgusts me, especially to hear people call Israel our "great ally."

Why hasn't anyone made a Hollywood movie about this yet?

If you go to my first posted link, that info comes from a script writer trying to get the film made in Russia............ You can guess why it would never be made in the West.

I wish the VFW luck in their case, but I think we all know where it's gonna go.

I can't imagine what it must feel like to be one of the survivors, knowing, KNOWING, that the death of your ship-mates, brothers, was at the hands of their own. Sure, the Israelis carried out the wet-work, but it was the USA's own, duplicitous commander-in-chief and his cohorts, by who's hand's they died.

There is a lot more to this event, and especially the role of the Amberjack, if you go to 46:55 in the BBC documentary, it is from this point that the grittier details of CYANIDE and the Amberjack are talked about, or not, as the case is.

It is my firm view that the 9/11 attack was the bast@rd child of CYANIDE.

    Hello Everyone:

This is a very interesting thread! I think what this brings out is that the Russians have been allies of the west alot more than people realize.

For instance Russia lost millions of men in the wars to save us and the world from Tyrants.

The Vietnam war was very similar to this fiasco that was carried out by the Israelis. The Bay of Tonkin was a false flag led by the US.

President John F Kennedy I believe was assasinated because he wanted to work with the Russians to go to the moon.

There are lots of examples of false flags in our history.

Thank you for bringing this one to our attention!

Russia also prevented Britain, France, and Spain from getting involved in the American Civil War by threatening to turn it into a world war. If they hadn't done that, the United States might have been carved up into pieces again by European powers.

Britain was planning to invade from Canada, and invasions from Mexico or the Gulf of Mexico were being planned too. Russia sent its navy to California and exerted pressure within Europe to help convince Europe to back off.

The West v's East meme is exactly that........... A meme.

A dog and pony show played out for the masses, a tool to perpetuate an endless cycle of fear to keep us in line, heads down, cowering. I lived through most of the cold war, and having the benefit of hindsight, can see that it was our very own media and government who were responsible for that fear. The endless tv series' depicting nuclear winter, the drills at school and Civil Defence literature, such as Protect & Survive dropping through the letterbox, was more than enough to scare sh!tless this young man.

And yet, while this highly-tuned public PR exercise was in full swing, convincing us that at any given moment certain death was only minutes away, behind the scenes, The British, American and Russian governments were working hand-in-hand running Spandau Prison. Between 1966 and 1987 there was only one inmate, Rudolph Hess.

There is the Antarctic Treaty, signed in Dec 1959 by 12 countries including the UK, USA & Russia.

The current-day multi-nation space programme, specifically the ISS. Transport to and from, courtesy of Russia.

But then, I'm preaching to the choir here. We're all aware of who the true enemy is.

A tad off topic, but let's not forget that very soon after WW2 had ended, Churchill wanted to invade Russia with WW3, luckily Churchill did not get the backing from the USA. Known as "operation unthinkable" Churchill backed down.
