    Default An Avalon Conference, 31 March - 2 April 2019

    Quote Posted by Diziblueyez (here)
    Bil, is it true you're coming to Nevada in March for the UFO MEGA con?
    Yes, and more about that later... it needs its own thread. This question is the prompt for that, so thank you!

    It's being held in Laughlin, NV, about 100 miles from Las Vegas. It's a week long event, 24-30 March.

    This is the theme I wrote up for the speaker promo page:

    ~~~
    The Project Camelot Journey, 2006—2018
    Bill Ryan takes us on an action-packed, fast forward trip from the founding of Project Camelot to the present. Not a research piece, but the detailed description of a multicolored, multidimensional landscape populated by wondrous phenomena, wondrous information, and wondrous people. Some anecdotes he’ll share will be known to very few, and some stories presented may even be important. The presentation is right after breakfast, but it’ll be a fun ride, and maybe a substitute for strong morning coffee.
    ~~~

    All this has only recently happened, so I'm still thinking it all through. One obvious opportunity is for an Avalon get-together (not really a 'conference'!) for 2-3 days from Sunday 31 March — Tuesday 2 April.

    This post is copied over to start a thread about that specifically, to see who might be interested in coming along. We'd just hire a room and kind of all hang out — no super-formal structure, far from it — but I do need to know in advance if this is viable and if there's any interest, so I can start on all the logistics.

    If you think you might like to come along, I've started a poll so you can register your possible interest. None of this is in ANY way committing... I'm just testing the water to see if we might have a viable mini-event or not. I'd say 20-30 people, and we could have something really worthwhile. It's actually not impossible it'd be quite a bit more than that.

    The cost would be simply to cover the room we'd use, plus my personal expenses to stay on there at the venue. Folks would arrange their own accommodation. At the moment, I have no idea what that cost would be, but it really wouldn't be much compared to any other conference, where organizers are trying to make a profit and pay a bunch of speakers.

    About the venue, which is important. The easiest thing is to borrow from the UFO MEGA CON page, here:

    April Fool's day, is this a stunt ?

    No matter, Nevada is a very long hike from here so I don't have to tell you. You already know I won't be there.

    the 7 day package is 499 US (X 25% for Canadians actual exchange rate, a killer)
    There is 4 days packages as well for 329 $ US.

    the flight is way cheap from Montreal (below 400$ Can)

    transport from Las Vegas to Laughlin: 80$ US

    the hotel is 36$ US per night single X 7 = 252$ US

    Plus food (restaurants)

    Total: 831 $ US plus airfare 400$ Can = 1,040.25 Can + 400 = 1,440.25 Can about. + food and activities money 300$ = 1,700$ Can (same as 1700 US in the US in terms of revenue and livng expenses)

    Hum, not sure at all in view of future expense due to my daughter who may study in Switzerland. Would love to be rich!!!

    I must add that for a 7days conference it is cheap, in US terms for US fellows lol

    ------------------

    Any Avalonians who live in the neighborhood who could open their house for paying nice nice very nice guests???

    Just a note, in case there's any confusion! The main UFO MEGA CON event is a full week (24-30 March). The mini Avalon-only event I'm proposing here would be just 2 or 3 days, immediately afterwards, prompted by the fact I'll already be there.

    It appeared to me that if you vote to view the poll before voting, it may be registering whatever button was checked when you clicked to view the poll. Can anyone confirm? It may make quite a difference in end result.

    Edit:
    Actually I can tell by looking at the numbers this isn't the case. I think maybe it just gives you that message if you've viewed the poll but didn't vote yet, but doesn't register anything.

    So never mind.

    I tried to vote first as I was thinking I could view them later.

    When the window opened it said I had already voted, however I hadn't done anything.

    Has anyone voted they are definitely going yet?

    I noticed they have a Holiday Inn Express in Laughlin. I have plenty of points to stay for free and will be making my reservation tonight.

    Cheers, J

    I would love to attend both the UFO convention and an Avalon get together afterwards. I've never actually attended a UFO convention.

    However, I live in north Idaho and have no car or other means to get there. If there is anyone living in the northwest US that is going to drive there please send me a PM. Perhaps we could car pool. I'd be happy to pay for the gas and any other expenses needed.

    Bummer. Bad timing for me. I'd go for sure if I was not going to be away from March 29th to April 9th.

    Workplace by Facebook could do it just fine for web conference. Up to 50 colleagues 90 days free and 3$/month after that.

    Workplace delivers collaboration and communication tools for business. Tools like video chat that gives you one-click HD video conferencing. In-app. On desktop. Zero hassle. Convert your text chat to a VC without missing a stroke and connect the global team on a video call with up to 50 colleagues.

    Truman, I'm in southern Idaho, not sure if I can go yet or if I'd consider doing the drive...I think it's an 11 hour trek from where I'm at and likely I'm an 8hr. drive from you if you're in Northern Idaho...however I do have a plane ticket I need to burn before the summer so will have to see if going is even feasible.

    Holy smokes...this could be an interesting lecture, lol....

    DANIEL SHEEHAN
    ‘TO THE STARS ACADEMY’ QUANDARY

    SHOULD THE UFO COMMUNITY SUPPORT A NATIONAL SECURITY STATE-STAFF WHO SEEK TO CONVINCE THE WORLD THAT UF0s ARE “REAL” BUT CONSTITUTE “A THREAT TO THE NATIONAL SECURITY OF OUR COUNTRY” IN EXCHANGE FOR THESE GOVERNMENT EXPERTS FINALLY “GIVING CREDIBILITY TO” THE REALITY OF UFOs?

    Since their highly-professional 2017 public announcement of their having decided to “come out of the closet” as “Deep Insiders” from within The National Security State bureaucracy to seek to publicly discover, with the UFO Community, The Truth about The UFO Phenomenon, various staff and directors of “The To The Stars Academy” have been endeavoring to persuade members of the historical “UFO Community” to “take their word for it” that they have now “seen The Light” and are now finally willing “to risk their fame and fortune – and their professional reputations” by “going public” about their collective conviction that “UFOs are Real!”

    Even though they, after all of these years of studying the subject in SECRET, “have no idea whatsoever where they come from, what they are, or what they represent – other than that The UFO Phenomenon “constitutes a threat to the National Security of our nation” because of their ability to “violate” our U.S. airspace with such demonstrated impunity; which absolutely requires that we find out The Truth about this phenomenon. “So, now, please join us, in our now-good faith effort to determine what this phenomenon is really all about… letting by-gones be by-gones regarding all of those years of conscious government deception and secrecy that we have all actively participated in.”

    Should The UFO Community believe these men? Should we “throw in with them” to try to solve this decades-long mystery, “taking advantage of” their “inside knowledge” and sharing our knowledge and experience with them?

    THIS is “The Elephant in The Room” in the UFO Community that needs to be addressed in a fully professional and responsible manner. That will be the task – and the objective – of this presentation of Harvard Law School-trained Constitutional Trial Lawyer (and Legal Counsel for Dr. John Mack) Daniel Sheehan, Legal Counsel for both Dr. Stephen Greer’s 2001 “Disclosure Project” and Steven Basset’s 2013 Citizens’ Hearing on Disclosure.

    I cannot attend since I am on a leave of absence from my job and cannot incur in expensive expenses to fly to USA. But I could attend if it was a webconference hold on Facebook Workplace as suggested by a colleague above.

    A few questions.

    I have an RV and of
    course a limited income at my age

    1. I would like a place to park it close by that has facilities such as electric, high speed internet and dumping the black water close by.

    2. I can do boondoggling ( no hook ups) with it for a short time, but still would like to have free access to high speed internet.... for my music and videos in my RV ... can you give me the coordinates?

    3. What would be my costs just for just your'' conference''...........

    thanks

    Now here is a Tom Petty song for everyone but I chose this life because its cheap and don't travel that is the reason
    No matter where you go there you are.

    Saving Grace
    Tom Petty
    I'm passing sleeping cities
    Fading by degrees
    And believing all I see to be so

    I'm flyin' over backyards
    Country homes and ranches
    Watching life between the branches below
    And it's hard to say
    Who you are these days

    But you run on anyway
    Don't you baby?
    You keep running for another place
    To find that saving grace

    I'm moving on alone
    Over ground that no one owns
    Past statues that atone for my sins
    And there's a guard on every door
    And a drink on every floor
    Overflowing with a thousand amens
    And it's hard to say
    Who you are these days
    But you run on anyway

    Don't you baby?
    You keep running for another place
    To find that saving grace
    Don't you baby?
