Default Psoriasis - Alternative treatment with garlic

I propose that psoriasis may not actually be a skin disease, but in fact a blood disease. Currently, psoriasis is known as a skin disease, and being treated as such. Perhaps it is - I'm just very suspicious because many of the treatments are costly, time consuming, and ultimately unhelpful.

The reason I think psoriasis could be a blood disease is because my mother cured her psoriasis, and attributes it to swallowing small amounts of cut up garlic cloves each day, in order to "clean her blood". The garlic pieces should NOT be chewed - just swallow it whole like a pill. You won't stink of garlic if you don't chew it

Side note: I thought she got the info from Edgar Cayce, but Cayce also called it a skin disease (ref)

If anyone here suffers from psoriasis, or knows anyone who does, perhaps the garlic treatment could be useful. The garlic might not work - but it certainly couldn't hurt.

There seems to be a parallel between psoriasis and atopic dermatitis (atopic eczema), which definitely is related to MSG poisoning.
Since ancient Greeks and Romans knew psoriasis, it must be due to other factors than modern pollution: genetics, fungus, microbes, parasites, nutrition (or lack thereof), etc.

Overall, the skin acts as a third kidney when two kidneys are not enough or not functioning properly to deal with the pollution inside the body. If any skin anomaly appears, it is always a good idea to detox and to deworm.

So is the not chewing garlic just because of the strong smell or will it not be as effective if chewed?

I learned this from a Native American medicine woman, as I was studying with her some years ago. And it made a lot of sense. I therefore don't have a link, but it shouldn't be too difficult to find studies in this vein.

Atopic allergies are very common in Japan (a land where MSG was first commercialized early 20th century) and even newborns show this terrible condition. (Fetuses in the uterus get poisoned.)
In severe cases, the face turns almost black and the afflicted people don't even leave house.

Thank You Petra for starting this thread.....indeed almost everything I have read indicates garlic is a very powerful blood cleanser......but it must not be Garlic from China and much of it is!

Here is my polluted blood story....

I had developed a very odd skin problem about 8 years ago......I developed rashes, bumps, blisters, and host of other things won't go into details but it was truly horrific...

At the dermatologist he said. This is eczema, this is contact dermatitis, this is a boil, this is psoriasis.. OMG You have EVERYTHING at the same time! And sent me to the ER.

I underwent every blood test imaginable even for STDs, collapsed immune system, cancer and tropical diseases....I saw 2 professors of Dermatology as well as ER doctors and other specialists.

The psoriasis also developed into arthritis! Many people are not aware they are related.

The only thing they could determine was that my C reactive proteins were "quite" high. and I was discharged with some creams.....none of which worked or provided any relief.

I decided to visit my GP ( Family Dr) who is also an ND (naturopath/wholistic) and brought my test results with me. After looking over everything for an hour he determined this issue was a very severe autoimmune response and switched to asking me what I had to eat the week before this bizarre situation occurred.

Long story short it was determined I had a porous stomach ( almost torn and with holes) AKA as gut disbyosis and permeability...

The last meal I had before this occurred was beer, a hamburger with a salad ( not organic)

He ordered a specialized test to check from Europe to look for undigested proteins in my blood stream as he expected that was the root cause. I was sent home with orders to only consume organic apple juice.

A week later tests came back.....

He was right...everything I ate the night/week before this attack ended up in my blood stream and organs that detox become overwhelmed and the only way out is through the skin....in 8 days on aplle juice my skin was mostly back to normal!

I ended being placed on a modified GAPS diet for a few months and some other things to heal my leaky gut.....bone broth mostly.

Odd how the body tries to cope!

This makes me especially angry because I see it as treating symptoms, not the cause. I really hate it when doctors give people useless products and then tell them to go away...

Treating symptoms is fine, I'm not saying it isn't - but for the problem to go away permanently, we need to treat the cause.

Both, according to my mother. She was pretty adamant about not chewing the garlic

Had a friend for a while whos grandfather was a medicine man. I forgot what they designated his role, but his job was essentially to 'out' all the charlatans. He had neat stories. Wild sob though.

Cherokee. Wanita Windwalker was born and raised in the reservation (North Carolina). Though her maternal grandmother trained her in shamanism, she rejected spirits in her teenage years and left the reservation and lived in the general American society. She was in Pontiac (Michigan) when I met her. She had been invited by Dr Motoyama (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiroshi_Motoyama) to lecture in Japan. One of the his students gave me Wanita's phone number when he heard I was going to be in Indiana. When I met her, what she said made a lot of sense and I drove from Indiana almost every weekend. She has a book on her practice of shamanism co-authored by Dr Singer, anthropologist from University of Michigan (I'm not sure now which university).

Did a quick search and reversatol common side effects seem to include diarrhea, nausea and weight loss - so I'd be hesitant with this one.
