Default Luis Elizondo, the UFO expert who ran AATIP, but did he really???

Luis Elizondo came on the scene in December 2017, two months after his retirement from the Pentagon. A NY Times article claimed he directed the Pentagon's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). But did he really?

An article in The Intercept but Keith Kloor questions this.
The Media Loves This UFO Expert Who Says He Worked for an Obscure Pentagon Program. Did He?

Quote Whatever the truth about otherworldly UFOs (cue a collective eye-roll from scientists), there is one crucial detail missing from “Unidentified,” as well as from all the many stories that have quoted Elizondo since he outed himself nearly two years ago to a wide-eyed news media: There is no discernible evidence that he ever worked for a government UFO program, much less led one.
A few other interesting points in this article about the To The Stars Academy (TTSA) crowd:
    • Chris Mellon, a deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence in the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations is interviewed by Fox and Friends about UFOs. No mention that he is part of TTSA.

    • History Channel's "Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation” also neglects to mention it was made by TTSA.

    • TTSA, which is hyped as a UFO research company, is actually listed with the Security and Exchange Commission filing as a “Motion Picture & Video Tape Production” concern.

    • It's not commonly known that George Knapp is also an investor in TTSA.

    • Public records reveal that Elizondo was a resident of Toa Baja, Puerto Rico (the site of an unacknowledged government surveillance program called “Echelon”) and has a long strange history with government intelligence.

As far as I know, this is the first time that The Intercept is doing a ufology related story. This is good to know because they are one of the few institutions left that do hard hitting investigatory journalism.

    Kryztian,

It's likely TTSA wouldn't have been able to file with the security and exchange commission, if they listed as a 'ufo research company'. Also the game plan is likely to flush out other credible military witnesses through the outreach of film. This is a form of research, in itself, and will also provide seed capital for more in depth research.

There are other issues that deserve closer scrutiny, like how does this align with the Trump govt's zeal for a space force and is this space force more about weaponizing space against our terrestrial enemies more than anything from beyond.

    So many questions, hey?

But why not? I guess they would be the first company to officially declare that fact. Perhaps they are the first "UFO research company" not to declare itself as an Aerospace corporation.

Indeed, including who is the guy Elizondo really??? He seems to have a long history in intelligence and understanding this might help explain how TTSA is a psychological operation.

Dude, of course they are a psychological operation. Not only because it is an "Academy" but their stated intention is to "educate" people and change people's minds. It is 100% openly a psy-op. What institution is not?
There is no way they can "educate" people about the real picture because for one thing there is no way to know the real picture, but they can push the agenda they are allowed to and stay in business. All their members are heavily crippled by having signed NDAs so there is only so much they can reveal even to each other. I'm just glad that they are at least revealing something that can be debated and developed on.

They have to make money from this to stay in business whether it is handouts from government or the people. If they survive the next 5 years, well, maybe that would be good.

I think that if they don't survive, things will get much much worse for the UFO community.
