Default Buzzfeed Article re: Alex Jones and Sandy Hook parents

This article was posted on Buzzfeed yesterday and I just got wind of it today. I'm pasting it here in full text, though a link can be found here.

Alex Jones Sent Families Of Sandy Hook Victims Emails Containing Child Porn
"You're trying to set me up with child porn!" Jones claimed on his show.

    Salvador Hernandez
    BuzzFeed News Reporter
    Posted on June 17, 2019, at 10:20 p.m. ET

Alex Jones, the infamous conspiracy theorist and Infowars founder, handed over several emails containing child pornography to the families of Sandy Hook school shooting victims who have filed a lawsuit against the right-wing media figure.

The child pornography was found in 12 emails of more than 57,000 messages that were turned over by Jones to families of the Sandy Hook victims, Jones' attorney Norm Pattis said. One of the images was discovered when consultants hired by attorneys for the Sandy Hook families began to review the files, prompting attorneys to contact the FBI, according to court documents.

On his radio show Friday, Jones insinuated he had been the victim of a conspiracy that involved attorneys on the opposite side of the lawsuit planting child pornography in his emails.

"You're trying to set me up with child porn!" Jones said, while announcing a $1 million reward to his viewers to find and prove the material had been planted.

"Imma get your ass," Jones warned. "One million dollars, one million, you little gang member. One million dollars to put your head on a pike."

Families of students killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in 2012 have sued Jones and Infowars for defamation over his repeated claims that the shooting was a hoax. The lawsuit alleges that Jones and his guests continuously suggested the mass shooting had been faked and that relatives of the victims who spoke out about their loved ones deaths had been “crisis actors.”

Jones has said he believes the shooting occurred, but that it is his right to be able to question the events from the shooting.

“I am proud of questioning Sandy Hook,” Jones said during his show Friday. I was not the progenitor, or the daddy of it. The public questioned it, so it was the tail wagging the dog.”

As part of the lawsuit, Jones had been ordered to turn over thousands of Infowars emails referencing the shooting as part of the lawsuit's discovery process.

Ana Marquez-Greene, pictured, was one of 26 people killed in a shooting massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14, 2012, in Newtown, Conn.

The trove of data containing the child pornography was handed over to the FBI, which reviewed the material and found additional images in the cache. According to court filings, FBI investigators told attorneys that the pornography — which would be a crime to possess — "had apparently been sent to Infowars email addresses." Jones' attorney, Pattis, told BuzzFeed News the emails had not been opened by anyone at Infowars, including Jones.

"Neither he nor his defense, nor for that matter lawyers for plaintiffs knew the material was embedded in emails until a big data processing firm found them," Pattis said in an email.

It's still unclear where the emails or the images came from, Pattis said, adding that Infowars had seen a "spike of this sort of thing" after the 2016 election.

But on his show Friday, Jones insinuated the discovery was part of a conspiracy to peg him as a pedophile, and singled out one of the attorneys representing Sandy Hook families.

"We all know who did it," Jones said on his show as the camera focused on a Wikipedia entry for Chris Mattei, a trial lawyer for the firm Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder, which filed a suit against Jones.

Jones was also seen pounding on the picture of Mattei with his fist.

"What a good American, what a good boy," Jones said of Mattei. "I'm gonna kill..." he said before trailing off.

During the segment, Jones repeatedly denied being being aware of the images and tried repeatedly to link pedophilia and child abuse to Democrats.

"I like women with big giant tits and big asses. I don't like kids like you goddamn rapists," Jones said. "I literally would never have sex with children, I don't like having sex with children, I would never have sex with children. I am not a Democrat. I am not a liberal. I do not cut children's genitals off like the left does."

In a court filing Monday afternoon, attorneys representing Sandy Hook families asked the judge in the case to review video from Jones' show and accused him of threatening Mattei and his firm.

Pattis denied that the Infowars host was threatening anyone and said "to suggest otherwise is to engage in precious pleading."

The day after the show was broadcast, Jones apologized for cursing and backtracked from his accusations suggesting that the images had been planted.

"I'm not saying that the lawyers for Sandy Hook families set this up or did this," Jones said. "Whoever sent this, for whatever reason, this shows the escalation and the insanity of all of this."

Jones also backed off his $1 million reward offer for those he suggested planted the pornography, saying he "did become unhinged" during the rant Friday.

“Technically, I did not issue the offer correctly,” Jones said. “(Pattis is) going to explain this. So the original press release they put out stands: $100,000.”

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any thoughts on this? Of course Jones is stating that it wasn't him that sent the emails and is claiming that this is all a set up. I don't trust this guy at all, based on the difference between the way he behaves on air compared to the statements he makes during legal proceedings. He's even gone so far as to describe his on-air persona as a "character". It's clear that he's afraid of the consequences of the legal process (who wouldn't be), and has little emotional or self control in many situations. Me? I think he did it and I base it on his demonstrated tendency to overreact to EVERYTHING. I could see him become so hateful towards his made-up conspiracies that he'd take harassment to this level.

Very curious for the forum's take on this.

Of course it wasn't him. For someone in AJ's position to take ANY kind of crazy risk like that would literally be insanity.

No-one with what he has at stake (reputation, family, business, personal finances, personal mission) would put that in danger in that way even with just 1 bullet in a 100-round Russian Roulette chamber pointed at his own head.

Cui bono? (Who benefits?) That's always the very first question to ask.

Hmmmm. I truly think he's a mentally ill rageaholic with no self control. I can definitely see how someone would want to "take him down", but as far as my observations have gone, he does a great job of doing that himself.

Alex Jones may be a little unhinged, but he's not a monster. There's no way in hell he would send something as despicable as child pornography to anyone, let alone the Sandy Hook victims.

This is more than likely a smear campaign. I don't like his show, but that doesn't mean I can't recognize when he's being messed with.

Also, BuzzFeed is hardly true journalism. This could easily be a false story without evidence.

My personal take on jones is that he is very intelligent when it comes to mapping out deep state trends. He is also very simple in some ways (not that that’s a negative in any way) but above all I feel he is with out question a good person. And his passion is commendable even if it sometimes makes him lose control. I have shaken my head many a time during one of his broadcasts when his passion gets the best of him. Mostly because I know that what ever outburst will be cut and pasted and used in the usual smear campaign against him. But his drive, passion, and intensity, I believe can be inspirational to anyone. I know I am often inspired to up my own efforts after tuning into a broadcast.

Since it's going to be presented in court, I'll be really interested to find out about his defense of that issue in particular.

I think the best points here are that he has too much to lose with respect to his family and his businesses, and that he wouldn't dare "touch the third rail of society" (or however it was said - such a sensible and awesome way to put it).

This dialogue really helps me take it all in and make up my own mind. Thanks ya'll.

"sending child pornography to Sandy Hook parents" is not the buzzfeed article title, this is: "Alex Jones Sent Emails Containing Child Porn To Sandy Hook Victims' Lawyers"

So, the title of this thread casts additional allegations far beyond the original title. Then, of course, down in the body of the article, the truth finally emerges that:

"According to court filings, FBI investigators told attorneys that the pornography — which would be a crime to possess — "had apparently been sent to Infowars email addresses." Jones' attorney, Pattis, told BuzzFeed News the emails had not been opened by anyone at Infowars, including Jones."

So, the entire story is an inflammatory piece of crap, the title buzzfeed used was deliberately misleading - insinuating that Jones deliberately sent child porn to a group of lawyers - and the morphing of that article's deliberately misleading title has now been "doubled down" with the (libelous) title used on this Avalon thread.

You don't have to respect Alex Jones to respect the truth.

As far as my title casting allegations, that was not my intention and I have no idea how you can use semantics to further cast allegations regarding my intention, which is something you have no insight into.

Are you saying that "...sending child pornography to Sandy Hook parents" is a fair and accurate title for this thread? It doesn't reference the subject of the article - the article was not about parents receiving porn email from Jones. I may have no insight regarding your intention, but I can read that you said Alex Jones sent porn to Sandy Hook parents, which is an error that you may want to correct if your intent is to accurately report on that article.

I would also say that if you ever need 100% proof that the deep state controlled media is silencing people for their own agenda then all you need to do is listen to to a few of Alex’s broadcasts and compare them to the allegations that they site to ban him from every platform..... they say he promotes hate speech and violence....... this never happens on his shows ever period..... while there are so many hateful broadcasts that are given full freedom.... and they say he is always harassing the sandy hook parents...... he raised questions about the incident while it was big news as did many outlets and blogs..... but he hasn’t talked about it in years. He is extremely politically passionate.... and against the deep state..... but never has done anything in the ballpark of something that would require a total internet ban. In fact wouldn’t you agree if all these clearly deep state portals are unanimously blocking him he must be saying something pretty important.... to be fair I would encourage anyone who hasn’t, to listen to an episode or two even if you hate his style and presentation.... just to see at least how untrue these allegations are... and how dangerous these corporations are who want to control what we can listen too

The thing about the devil, is he only needs you to pay attention to him once. For just a second. the moment you took to move your head in the direction of the raised finger and question, is..well..it's already too late.

Anther way of saying that to smear Alex, requires only bit of your time and to do something that is slightly beyond your ability discern. For just a short time. Does not matter what the lie is. Just that it exist long enough to get the foot in the door and the job done. What happens afterward is almost irrelevant -- as the job is done.

Like so. Just.....long enough to swing the vote -- to make it not pass (a bill in the US congress about supplying arms):

A BIT OF CONFIRMATION ABOUT THOSE PERSIAN GULF ATTACKS?

Quote A brief report from AntiWar.com's Eric Garris suggests Thursday's tanker attack incident in the Gulf of Oman which the United States promptly blamed on Iran has directly impacted bills placed before the Senate which would ban US arms sales to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar.

Garris wrote of the vote which came hours after the Gulf tankers incident: "Both votes were considered highly likely to pass up until they were rushed to the floor today. The timing appears almost certainly to have been related to Thursday tanker bombings in the Gulf of Oman, and shifted a number of Senators’ votes in favor of continuing the arms sales." He noted that "some senators switched sides to kill the bills" following news of the tanker attacks.

    And there you have it.

Nobody Died at Sandy Hook, by Jim Fetzer and Mike Palecek. 425 page book that pretty much debunks the whole lie.

The kicker was that all the homes within a wide circle around the school are paid off. Someone checked on all the mortgages of these homes and they all went to zero at the same time. Silence ensured.
Good book. I have a copy. I just got an email that the publisher is refusing to print any more copies. There are tons of inconsistencies that each on its own disproves the mainstream story. Combined, these pieces of evidence leave no doubt that this was a PsyOp.

Ok, so now that the publisher has issued the statement that "My face-to-face interactions with Mr. Pozner have led me to believe that Mr. Pozner is telling the truth about the death of his son,” Dave Gahary, the principal officer at publisher Moon Rock Books, said Monday. “I extend my most heartfelt and sincere apology to the Pozner family.” and lost a defamation suit court, are they apart of the PsyOp too? Or do you all think they are being threatened by the people behind the alleged cover-up? Why would the publisher make such a statement, one that would threaten their credibility and endanger the bottom line?

The publisher wouldn't need to be involved in the PsyOp. The number involved would be very small. Most people just believe what they are told, without seeing any evidence or bodies. The publisher is not the author. I have no idea what he believes or why. Making a concession after being sued wouldn't threaten his bottom line. He doesn't want to be sued again. I doubt if they were making enough in book sales to protect themselves against the juggernaut that is the shadow government.

If someone wants to believe kids died at Sandy Hook, that's fine. The only way I could see that as a possibility is some kind of double-layered deception, where the kids died, but all evidence of it was erased. In addition to that, a bunch of things would have had to be set up to look fake to lead everyone who understands scientific inquiry to think that the whole thing was a lie. The parents who were grieving would have to be coached on how to mask their grief and appear like instant political zealots instead. Occam's Razor suggests that it is unlikely they would go to all that trouble, since their target audience is those who believe mainstream media, not those who do not.

Were pictures of dead kids produced in these lawsuits against Alex Jones and Fetzer, et al? I doubt it. I haven't wasted much more time on it since I investigated it back in 2012 and 2013. It doesn't matter how much evidence is produced or lacking, people who are in denial about the true nature of our government will continue to deny.

Bill was kind enough to supply the link above to the pdf of Fetzer's book. You might find it interesting.
