Default Why are you still researching UFOs?

This is an issue that has been in the back of my mind for some time. Not a problem just a thought.

I've always had an interest in UFO's but I never did any 'digging' till I saw Camelot's Jim Spark's interview. A friend showed it to me and it blew me away. Since then I've devoured so much information I feel as though I've reached a point of diminishing returns. With all the info I have, what do I do with it? Nothing. It's just kinda neat.

So for me it's turned into entertainment, which seems kinda odd if that makes sense. I understand why folks like Bill, Kerry and others stay entrenched in this field but for a guy like me what value am I bringing to the table? If anything I may be hurting the UFO field by clicking on videos that have zero value, inadvertently bumping them up the ladder of credibility. 'Vote with your view' kind of thing.

I have nothing to bring to the table in terms of experience or insider information. I'm just a guy who believes in UFO's.

And I don't believe in proselytizing as I find that to be annoying as hell and I think it often does more harm then good. If it comes up in conversations then I will stand my ground and explain why I believe, but in the end I'm not a debater. I don't care what others think, believe what you wish. And I suck at debating.

    So what about you folks?

EDIT: Hey Bill whatever happened with Jim Sparks? He doing good? You think he's credible?

Yes, excellent. I feel the same about a number of topics whose reality I've come to totally know is real. Not believe, but know.

Like reincarnation, certain psychic abilities, and so on. Those things are fun to talk about sometimes, but they're not as interesting to me as they USED to be when I didn't know as much, or didn't have the personal certainties.

I'm much more interested in learning about stuff I don't know about.

What we need to always remember is that there's a really wide spectrum of members here (guests, too) — different ages, backgrounds, nationalities, professions — each on their journey.

So what feels obvious to one person may be an exciting unknown to another. That in turn needs tolerance... as we're all each other's teachers.

Very good point on the spectrum.

I have a particularly good idea for a UFO thread for newcomers that should help separate the wheat from the chaff. I'll start it tomorrow most likely.

Default Re: Why are you still researching UFOs?

I think as we move through these issues they take on a different importance and even meaning depending on where you are in your life. After I witnessed a UFO up close I tried for years to convince people that they were real. I finally came to the conclusion that many people "want" to believe in UFOs but many do not want to upset their day to day reality, so no amount of discussion will change their minds. This effort allowed me to get into conversations that were extremely interesting but probably did not change a lot of minds. Now I check out UFO material because I am interested and I find it entertaining. I also recognize that the mainstream media touches on UFOs from time to time but it is not an effort to bring the truth to mankind. To the media UFOs are just entertainment. Click bait if you will.

There are other issues which I have thought and studied about for years and I find that my thinking goes through an evolutionary process. As Bill mentioned reincarnation, after years of thinking and studying this issue the only conclusion that I could reach is that it is absolutely real but that is only the first small step. The real question becomes, what is the purpose of reincarnation and to what end. If you reincarnate 3 times or 3 million times where does the journey ultimately end up? What is the end game?

There is something that I honestly believe holds everything in the universe together and it is by far the most powerful tool in our arsenal. Thought...........thought is the key to life, the universe, UFOs, reincarnation, self-healing, physic abilities, mood, attitude and even relationships. Thought is the passageway to a happy and fulfilling life, thought is mankinds doorway to the greater universe. Using thought in a positive way is a game changer and we haven't even scratched the surface.

The UFO issue is a great way to get people thinking far beyond their own existence. The more 'thought' people put into these kind of issues will move humanity forward to where we ultimately need to be.

Strat, wow, you really articulated many of my own thoughts on the matter.

Why do i still research ufo's? good question.

i go on it and off it. when i'm off it i feel like i never wanna go back. i get so damned sick of it. alone-on-a-desert-island -and-using-an-Icke-book-for-toilet-paper sick of it.

this is where the slimey Corey Goode's and Wilcock's sneak in to the game. they are the perfect remedy for ufo fatigue. hey, david wilcock is entertaining! corey goode is not entertaining at all - he might be the least charismatic person i've ever seen - but his story is entertaining!

ufo's were never meant to be fun or cuddly. researching is entertaining, has been for me for a long while..but i imagine if i was actually abducted and experimented upon i would want nothing to do with it all. it's not real enough for the goode and wilcock followers, and they don't want it to be real. it's why they're so averse to research, and facts! it's all about having these feel-good shindigs in the desert and so forth. making some cash. etc

corey goode said something telling at the mufon conference. it was essentially this (paraphrase): the nuts and bolts guys have had their time, they've come as far as they can get. now it's our turn, the ssp whistlblowers turn to tell the story.."

he made it sound as if the UFO's owed us some kind of entertainment, and having not delivered, he was going to now invent it as a means of gaining the interest of the public. that's what that statement sounded like to me.

i know this isn't a goode/wilcock thread, but i bring it up to illustrate a point:
researching ufo's can be a tedious, frustrating, emotional and mental quick-sand type of thing over time. you see all the books, know that you've read em all; have seen all the docs and youtube vids and interviews too.....so what now?

nothing. the ufo's don't owe us a fun time. we wait. we wait until something new and interesting - backed by science, or at least some form of reasonable evidence - comes along. meanwhile we don't fall into the trap of indulging fantasy. we may not get another new piece of the puzzle in this lifetime. maybe not even the next

hey, thank god for cryptids right? and the skinwalker ranch. and false flags. plenty of ways to stay occupied but i still keep an eye on the ufo thing because it's the biggest and most fascinating topic confronting humanity today.

Wow, five great posts and I want to take part in each one - and within those there are awesome discussion points. (I know I shouldn't have looked before trying to go to sleep.)

This is why I feel that Avalon is so important - people will visit here and find answers, more questions to intrigue them, people with similar passions for knowledge and answers.

One thing Bill said touched on - when it is something you don't just beleive, but rather you know. That sets you into a different frame of mind.

And Strat, think of how many number of visiting ETs that have been estimated to have visited in one way or another. How many more to come?

I feel honoured to be able to participate in even the smallest way with you all and other people on this site. And I feel that my input is very important to someone who may be looking for something similar to what I have experienced.

I will always be looking for someones elses experience to help me to validate things for myself.

Rgray222, everytime I read something from you I feel like I am understanding things a little bit more. Just now as you spoke of thought - yes, how we think is more important than we realize and there is so much more for us to explore in just that simple way.

And Mike, you are like the sparring partner that pushes you a little further each time.

I must be sounding like I am sucking up to everyone - lol- but I think that due to some strange things lately I am at a point where I am experiencing some type of personal growth.

There are many questions yet to be answered. I am still trying to figure out my own abduction/checkup visit thing to figure out if it was real. I think it was but I can not know for sure.

    So on we go.

Same here - all I would say, said above, without me typing a word.
The only thing I would add in regards to the "ufo" subject, (knowing of their reality ) is that I am also drawn by my nature and sense of "self preservation" to look deeper ! - I am yet to be swayed one way or another as to their intent, so I view them as a possible threat until otherwise convinced. (whatever form the "threat" takes).

Even a benevolent species with the best intentions could inadvertantly be a threat. Perhaps that is why we have not seen them disclose themselves to us.

If an uncivilized group was to get a hold of great technology, that technology could easily be abused to their own detriment.

    Great question Strat.

I carry on because it is all part of my world.

A world that still holds many secretes.

I personally have seen many different types of craft (which to me is interesting in it's self) but to my conscious daily reality it is unresolved, at the same time real.

Because the UFO/UAP phenomenon is the greatest dichotomy of our time.

We see reasonable evidence over the centuries of incredibly advanced beings from somewhere, somewhen, with the technology to appear, disappear, stop time, alter gravity, and traverse through any medium effortlessly.

However, our most credible accounts of these UAPs typically involve a bright array of colorful lights dancing through the night sky, or evading fighter jets at head-splitting altitude drops and speeds. Their playfulness, and evasiveness, reminds me more of the inhabitants our ancestors spoke of in the spirit realms than extraterrestrial visitors.

Maybe the cosmos wants a new dance partner. I’d like to find out!

I think personal experience is the way to go. That is real it just requires being validated. We can all read stories and accounts but unless we are face on with one. I don't think we would get true satisfaction. Hence we are still left searching and researching. Can you get abducted spiritually in your spirit or energy body or is abduction just physical BTW?

Here is what I think is an analogy.
Please, please consider this for a moment:
Imagine that we are all chickens (not to belittle chickens anywhere).
So as chickens, we are debating the existence and intentions of the so called humans that seem to be all around us.
Some profound ideas float around and state that humans are a more evolved version of us chickens and perhaps some day if we awaken, we can be as advanced.
Many others state that they know of many of their "friends and family" who have simply vanished and that we should investigate their disappearance.
Many others yet simply don't have time for all this nonsense and feel strongly on just laying our eggs and forget about all the conspiracy theories as they are a waste of time.
Many of us strongly believe that humans just wish to control us and that if all get together, we can overthrow our human overlords.
Many believe that chicken science should be advanced and we should reverse engineer or understand human technology.
Many believe that the chicken mind and spirit is infinite and that humans are just a part of us and are here to help us evolve to a better chicken kind.
Of course many correctly observe that the food given to us by the humans is changing many of us and we seem to be getting bigger and fatter all the time.
    And so on...
Now consider the humans' side of the equation.
What do we humans think of chickens?

I think personal experience is the way to go. That is real it just requires being validated. We can all read stories and accounts but unless we are face on with one. I don't think we would get true satisfaction. Hence we are still left searching and researching. Can you get abducted spiritually in your spirit or energy body or is abduction just physical BTW?
Well, my face to face was very brief and I do not know if it was real or just a dream. (But based on a few things, I am leaning towards real.)

Now with that said, even if it was proven without a doubt to be real, I have many questions.

I would also beleive that you could be abducted (controlled?) in the spiritual contact

Is there a point where we as a species evolve technically and or socially where contact from other beings is necessary from the advance races perspective?

They will always be ahead of us. (Unless we are exploring and come upon a more primitive race.)

It seems that the atomic age brought a level of interest from ETs. What might be the next step?

What would a chicken have to do?

    Strat,

I share with you the extreme interest being resparked partly due to the Jim Spark's interview filmed by Bill and Kerry. Knocked my socks off. I think that was after my major fright with alien abduction, or whatever the heck it was. Elves, fairies, djinns...I dunno. But..not fun at all.

I can't get enough of ufo disclosure info coming out right now, even though I know it will be managed disclosure and possibly used by the miitary bigwigs to scare people AND to give foreigners, like the Chinese the idea that we just might possibly have back engineered this stuff by now...so watch out. Don't step out of line!

The downside for me is wondering if ufos and alien abduction are the same. Are beings from these craft able to walk through walls, abduct, etc...without any difficulty. This scares me to death and I am feeling better now but have had many a sleepless night in the last month wondering if this will be the next shoe to drop.

What would a chicken have to do?
    That is indeed the question.
A chicken can do only what a chicken can do.
Can the chicken cease to be a chicken?
Assuming you accept "evolution" and I mean change through time, then a chicken has not always looked that way. Everything affects the DNA, whether it is cosmic rays, gravity, EM radiation, thoughts, experience, or just random mutation.
Change is constant, even within a single lifetime.
Trivial example: A chicken starts as an egg, then grows, and most probably becomes food (I don't eat meat)

I'll answer the question with another question.
    Do farmers want smarter chickens?
Does anyone want smarter chickens? (I know I do but I don't know of anyone else)

    Here is another example.
Imagine a single chicken is born smart for whatever reason. It comes to life, starts questioning things and encounters blank stares, get depressed and kills itself.
Or perhaps approaches humans who then either dissect it to find why it happened and perhaps how to stop it, or some benevolent human spirits it off to keep as a pet and save its "soul".

So that is the question, just how much choice do we have and we will not know that until we exercise our options and find out the hard way.

They say that seeing is believing. I have never seen a UFO or an ET - except on TV and the Internet. Yet I have/had good friends that reported an encounter. Both my mother and my wife (both deceased) told me in detail about their UFO experience. I have seen and participated in many activities in my 75 years that others do not accept as real. So although I do not quite believe, I nearly accept that these ET really exist. (I am from Missouri and you have to show me!) Thus, the entire scope of UFO research still draws me in.
