Millionaire financier and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein has died in a Manhattan jail, with law enforcement sources saying he killed himself. Epstein was being pending trial for child sex trafficking and conspiracy.

The incident comes two weeks after the 66-year-old was found “injured and in a fetal position” on the floor of his cell, with injuries to his neck. Epstein was placed on suicide watch as a result.

Law enforcement sources told multiple news outlets that Epstein committed suicide on Saturday morning, with his body wheeled out and taken to a New York hospital around 7.30am.

Epstein was arrested on July 6, and charged with sex trafficking and conspiracy. The charges against the millionaire allege that he abused dozens of young girls at his properties in Manhattan and Palm Beach, Florida, some of them as young as 14. Aside from the offenses alleged, rumors circulated of further child abuse at Epstein’s private Carribean island.

According to court documents unsealed a day before his death, another alleged victim claims that Epstein trafficked her and other girls to some of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful men, including British Prince Andrew, billionaire investor Glenn Dublin, and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson. The victim’s list also includes “another prince,” a “foreign president,” a “well-known prime minister,” and the owner of a French “large hotel chain.”

With Epstein dead, the extent of his crimes will likely never be known, nor will those of his closest associates. Given the reach of the circles he moved in, many speculated that Epstein would not survive until trial. News of his death was also greeted with cynicism by online commentators.

Well we all knew this was coming didn't we? It was just a question of when? Too many people were to be on the block and it would have been much easier to get rid of the orchestra leader. I'm sure upon his leaving the earth the hell hounds were waiting with drooling mouths and sharpen teeth waiting for his arrival into the darkness that he so relished in here. I'm not convinced he's dead. Maybe he was able to pull some strings, "committed suicide", and was then wheeled out and released and will now spend his time in anonymity somewhere.

Well that didn’t take long. Hope someone has the resources to check that it isn’t a wax model in the morgue and if so, track his rescue movements to see what country and plastic surgeon he visits.

It is almost impossible to commit suicide in federal custody WHEN A PRISONER IS ON SUICIDE WATCH.

The prisoner is held NAKED, with only a suicide-proof garment to cover any part of the body, and is held in a cell with a unbreakable glass door, while either a Guard or another Prisoner sits on a chair outside that cell watching absolutely every move the prisoner inside makes. There is no part of the cell which is not within view of that door.

At any HINT of self-harm, the person outside calls for help and many people come running.

The notion that Epstein was able to kill himself under such circumstances is utterly unimaginable. I know. I was in federal custody and, for a couple days in August, 2010, I was put on suicide watch at Brooklyn MDC.

This story stinks of murder.

Murder by government-perps who were the only ones with access.

The area in which suicide cells are located is equipped with all sorts of camera equipment. That video should be thoroughly scoured to see WHO paid Epstein a visit . . . . if he was inside a suicide watch cell.

My feeling is, he's dead. I knew this was going to happen. There is just no way the Powers on Epstein's Dirt List would allow one man to take down such an enormous House of Cards. Epstein's trial would have shook the very foundation of the Deep State/US Government.

This may have been the fate he deserved, but his murder is absolutely horrible news for justice. There is now an entire network of very powerful pedophiles and traffickers still doing their thing without consequence.

Yes, it's possible that he was taken out. But keep in mind, he was very rich and very well connected. As Gemma13 said, a little plastic surgery, a little nod-nod wink-wink, and voila, a new John Doe appears in some remote country somewhere to quietly live out his days. Meanwhile, "Jeffrey Epstein" is officially declared dead. Which means there is no trial.

That is...interesting, about the garage. In this photo the orange stretchers on the rack on the wall say FD.., presumably FDNY, as property of the NY fire dept. So this scene does sort of suggest it took place *inside* a FDNY facility.

Hanged himself in his New York cell. Was on suicide watch, after earlier suicide attempt or assault. Where were the guards? Who can possibly believe this story on its face?

Suicide Watch means the prisoner has no materials in his cell, like bedsheets or blankets, he can use to hang himself. It means guards are on duty around the clock. It means all this and more, in a high profile case where everybody and his brother was warning that Epstein would be murdered. And yet we’re told he killed himself.

Court documents had just been unsealed. The Daily Beast: Docs “contain accusations that prominent men had sex with Epstein’s girls…Former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, Prince Andrew…wealthy financier Glenn Dubin, former senator George Mitchell, now-deceased MIT scientist Marvin Minsky, and modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, as well as ‘another prince,’ a ‘foreign president,’ ‘a well-known prime minister’ and the owner of a ‘large hotel chain’ in France.”

Some prominent men (e.g., attorney Alan Dershowitz) had been accused before. Not all court docs are unsealed.

One reporter suggested that now that Epstein is dead, maybe more witnesses, no longer fearing for their lives, will step forward and offer testimony. Really? If Epstein was, in fact, murdered, this would ratchet up the fear. Not take it down.

And now there will be no trial, correct? If Epstein is dead, how can a trial against him proceed? And if that is so, then the accusations against powerful men who had sex with his girls will not be brought up and aired in court—which would be the whole point in murdering Epstein, assuming that is what happened.

If charges are going to be brought against Epstein’s female assistants, these would be separate legal actions that would have to start from scratch. In such actions, more documents could emerge, but women and girls who are put on trial for enabling Epstein’s operation could certainly claim, as they already have, that they were coerced by Epstein and their lives were threatened if they didn’t carry out orders. Such claims, whether true or false, are not easy to refute, especially when clever lawyers are on board—to say nothing of psychiatrists who can tangle up proceedings for years.

The story of Epstein’s suicide or murder is in its first stage as I write this. It’s quite possible that new details will emerge that radically change the picture that’s being painted at the moment….

For the moment, the prominent men are protected, in the ongoing he-said she-said atmosphere…
