Interestingly enough, if you go back into my posts, I have asked for exactly that -for years. I said, that, in the end, it is likely the only thing that will bring enough attention to the situation and bring about disclosure.

This reminds me of the poor 100th Street Bridge - anyone reading this from West Michigan has to remember that bit of excitement from last summer.

The 100th Street Bridge was a highway overpass that hadn’t seen any major repairs in decades, so it had a very low clearance and a lot of loose concrete.

Almost daily, a semi hauling a trailer with a higher, modern clearance would smash into the bridge from the highway below, shutting down traffic from Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids.

Eventually, a friend of mine made a Facebook page, setting a date and time where attendees would arrive with bubble wrap and packing tape to bubble wrap the 100th Street Bridge. Just like the Area 51 page, it was clearly a humorous parody, but several thousand folks marked on Facebook they would attend. It was all over the local news and a rather ridiculous poke at Michigan’s terrible infrastructure.

And when the date actually arrived, a few hardy souls really did show up with bubble wrap!

For the probably thousand or so fans that go out to Groom Lake in a few months, I doubt their reception will be as cordial!



Good news, I think the poor bridge ended up getting a facelift after all.

Feds warn UFO enthusiasts against storming Area 51: The military 'stands ready'

They've got a plan to raid Area 51 and "see them, aliens." But what will happen if they actually do it?

Over one million people have signed up to a joke Facebook event and another million have said they are interested, calling on users to meet at Area 51, the US Air Force base in Nevada that's long been a source of alien conspiracy theories, in September.

"If we Naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets," the page says, referencing the Japanese manga-inspired running style with arms outstretched backward and heads forward. "Let's see them, aliens."

A pinned post on the page attempts to cover its bases, reading "Hello US government, this is a joke, and I do not actually intend to go ahead with this plan. I just thought it would be funny and get me some thumbsy uppies on the internet." But as the event has gained traction -- inspiring dozens of memes and jokes -- the profile of the situation has risen, so much so that the US Air Force has been made aware of the potential impending raid.

And they're not as lighthearted about the situation as folks on the internet are.
"[Area 51] is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces," a spokeswoman told The Washington Post. "The U.S. Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets."

CNN has reached out to the Air Force and is waiting to hear back.

Area 51 has been a source of alien conspiracy theories for decades

Area 51 was officially acknowledged as an Air Force base in 2013 but has spurred conspiracy theories as an unidentified flying object and alien holding site for decades. In short, it's thought that Area 51 holds all the government secrets about aliens -- though the CIA has published documents confirming its use as a test base.
But it has since been confirmed that the US government has spent $22 million researching UFOs. Just last month a group of US senators was briefed on UFO encounters the US Navy has had, too.

This reminds me of the story of Dwight D. Eisenhower threatening to send in the Colorado troops to smash into area 51 if his agents were not admitted and given a full tour. Linda Moulton Howe and Richard Dolan at their best IMHO. At this stage in his life there was little to gain from the telling of such a tale. Creator of 'Storm Area 51' comes forward after satirical Facebook page takes off

The creator of a Facebook page calling for a public invasion of Area 51, the top-secret Air Force facility in Nevada, has finally spoken publicly about his joke getting out of hand.

California resident Matty Roberts, who created the Facebook page “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us,” revealed his identity Wednesday to KLAS-TV of Las Vegas.

“I posted it on like June 27th and it was kind of a joke," Roberts said. "And then it waited for like three days, like 40 people, and then it just completely took off, out of nowhere. It’s pretty wild.”

The page calls for a public invasion of the secret Air Force-run facility near Groom Lake, Nev., on Sept. 20 at 3 a.m. The facility has been the subject of alien conspiracy theories for decades.

As signatories for the page climbed higher, Roberts said he grew worried the FBI would pay him a visit.

“The FBI is going to show up at my house and it got a little spooky from there,” he said.

Roberts had previously communicated with NPR through Facebook Messenger, but under a pseudonym for fear of harassment.

“I just thought it would be a funny idea for the meme page,” he said. “And it just took off like wildfire. It’s entirely satirical though, and most people seem to understand that.”

As of Wednesday, Robert’s page has garnered 1.5 million pledges from around the world to join the effort and another 1.1 million “Interested.”

Meanwhile, publicity of the story has been good for surrounding businesses.

Joerg Arnu, who lives near Area 51 and runs a website that focuses on military secrecy, told KLAS he’s seen a huge spike in traffic.

“I used to get about 500 to 600 hits a day,” he said. “Right now, I’m getting up to 3,000 a day.”

Connie West, owner of Little A’Le’Inn, which sells alien-themed food and novelty items, said her rooms are fully booked through the Sept. 20 target date.

“I’m just a little scared, but bring it,” she said. “We’ll do our best. I don’t believe they should be doing this and breaking the law. Just don’t believe that.”

The momentum has prompted the Air Force, which runs the installation, to respond and caution UFO enthusiasts against invading the area.

It sounds funny and probably nothing will happen but I am confident that several events like this which become viral, are well planned injections to the collective consciousness, preparing-manipulating future events.

Maybe. It's some sort of agreement to give the resident aliens a feast of sorts, imagine a blend of predator and old school, but with nerds getting eaten. Who knows.

I imagine though if there were any alien craft or aliens that with all this time to prepare they could easily have moved them. Over to area 99 perhaps. Wherever, with this much time they could have moved them anywhere. My gut says less than a few thousand will turn up and only a tiny fraction of that, a few hundred, will attempt anything silly.

Don't Storm Area 51, Storm Congress with Mail.

In mid-July, Mark Walker, a Republican Congressional Representative from North Carolina, reportedly sent a letter to the Secretary of the Navy, Richard Spencer. The topic of that letter demanded to know what the Navy is doing to document and analyze the unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) for national security and intelligence purposes.

Congressman Walker is quoted as saying, "As a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security and the Ranking Member for the Subcommittee on Intelligence and Counterterrorism, these reports are concerning from national airspace and domestic security perspective."

When you think about the responsibility for assessing UFOs & UAPs for security purposes, it is clearly in the wheelhouse for the House Committee on Homeland Security and Subcommittee on Intelligence and Counterterrorism.

From where I sit, this confirms a couple of things that Stephen Bassett, the executive director of Paradigm Research Group (PRG), has been saying for years. “Where’s the Congressional oversight?” Especially when you consider our modern human culture has been dealing with the phenomena of strange lights in the sky for about 100 years.

In 1968, while trying to get the Air Force out of the Project Blue business, physicist Edward U. Condon told Congress, the Press and the American people that UFO’s posed no threat to national security.

But in March of 1967, a year before the Condon Report was released, Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana experienced the appearance of a large, saucer-shaped craft very close to the ground to the nuclear missile site. It was investigated and documented that numerous nuclear missile warheads were deactivated. On the surface, that does suggest a threat to national security.

Dr. James McDonald who worked on the Condon study, found out after the termination of the Condon study, that the Air Force indeed had some "classified" UFO incident reports that were not made available to the Condon Committee investigators for the study! The Malmstrom Air Force Base incident was part of that "classified" material.

Of course, the Air Force wanted to divest themselves of the responsibility of managing Project Blue Book and having to respond, to inquiries from the public on the subject of UFOs. It seems that congressional oversight was sidestepped again for internal political purposes by the Air Force. In the opinion of this author, whoever made those decisions in the late ’60s Air Force are guilty of dereliction of their sworn duty.

So here we are fifty years later. For five decades a small minority of Americans have been label Kooks, Nuts, Conspiracy Theorists, and of course, delusional people.

Luis Elizondo told me during a February 20th, 2018 interview that he was never able to communicate potential threat intelligence up the chain of command to then-Secretary of Defense Retired General James N. Mattis.

Mr. Elizondo indicated the information flow was stopped somewhere in middle-level management. Again, here we have some career conscious personnel who didn’t or wouldn’t convey critical potential intelligence to their superior, Secretary Mattis. Whoever in DOD middle level management is responsible for that decision is clearly guilty of a dereliction of their sworn duty.

We are citizens of the United States of America, we have elected representatives. Congressman Walker is undoubtedly doing his sworn duty to ask for answers from the NAVY.

What concerns me and many others is that the Navy is going to dismiss the good Congressman with some lame excuse. But think about this.

On one episode of the History Channel’s “Unidentified,” Mr. Elizondo interviewed senior navy Operations Specialist who was on that fleet radar ship. That Operations Specialist witnessed astonishing flight characteristics that frankly had him rattled.

He attempted to file an after-action report per procedure. But all the radar data and flight voice recordings were gone! Also on that program, it was stated, that a Navy helicopter landed on the ship and all of the recording materials were spirited off. Somewhere within the Naval intelligence establishment, there is an off-the-books, Unacknowledged Special Access Unit who knows the truth.

Now that Congress is finally asking for information, the new Secretary of Defense Patrick Michael Shanahan needs to ask his vast support resources within the Department of Defense to come clean and share what congressional security and intelligence committees need-to-know to do their job.

After the airing of the History Channel’s “Unidentified” the press has reported that Senators and Congressman have been requesting Classified Briefings by the Navy regarding the situation. This is a positive step in the right direction.

That said, it’s time for open and honest congressional hearings similar to the PRG sponsored Citizen Hearing on Disclosure (2013). I, for one, am ready to testify to such a hearing committee and share the results of five years’ worth of UFO statistical data research compiled by my spouse Linda Miller Costa and myself.

What can you do? If there was ever a time to write your districts’ congressional representatives, now is the time to step up and politely demand Congressional Hearings.

Don’t send them your rambling personal story of your sighting from years ago, or tell them about your abduction. Do not do that!

Simply tell them in a short, polite letter that you are genuinely concerned for our National and Global Security related to UFOs-UAPs and politely ask them to hold open and honest congressional hearings about the topic of UFOs and UAPs.
