Question How to (un)trap a soul

This post is not about ghost-busting.

I got inpired by the title after this post from Bill

I visited the link http://scientology.wikia.com/wiki/Rons_Org and checked a few links at that site which unfortunately most aren't valid anymore.

I googled one called "The Prometheus Reports" and found them at this link:
    http://freezoneearth.org/Prometheus04/otThree/index.htm

This site covers extensively what is addressed at the higher levels in Scientology that deals with freeing charges and dependencies a spirit has accumulated from being trapped by others.

According to past history researches of man which go very very much in the past, spiritual beings were possible to trap by either freezing their surrounding field and/or by electronic fields.

It would be too extensive to paste those pages and wouldn't be necessarily easy to understand as it contains some Scientologeese. While those described incidents are highly controversial it shows how easy it is to lock a spiritual being down.

Isn't btw. 5G and AI and VR not a contemporary effective method to lock down a spiritual being?

One apparent problems in traps are that a spiritual being is fighting (opposing) such traps.
A metaphor for this could be a fishhook where the fish snaps at the bait and when he realises the trap, he pulls back and in that the fishhook catches on even further.

This doesn't imply that one shouldn't oppose traps and endure the dire situation and "have good thoughts" or "send love" but instead to smartly out-do/eradicate the trap.

Now the 1-million dollar question is: how to un-trap yourself, next time you're in one.
Any tips for your fellow spirits are welcome.

I do not have that information yet, I had planned to wait till I got to the point that I could assist in this manner.

I am aware the info is on the net and easily grabbed, but I always would wish to be in contact with another who is already doing such things, to learn from them, and have the correct amount of power in order to use the techniques, if I come across such power for myself.

I am glad you made this thread. I liked your metaphor as well, when hearing of these types of traps where by we as beings actually trap ourselves, I've likened it to the Chinese finger trap, where once the fingers are in the contraption and trying to pull out, one is stuck. It's only until one "accepts" and brings the fingers together one is then freed. I do not know if that is the basis really of these traps as I don't have much experience with them, but it comes to mind allegorically and I find some practical could come out of it.

There may even be a way where one can come across something that doesn't require much effort on one's part, and never have to worry about such traps again.

    We'll find out.

One thing to realize that the perpetrator of a 'spirit trap' would be violating one of the great spiritual laws, which is to 'do no harm'. Such violations would incur heavy karmic consequences.

    Questions:

I wonder if the soul has clear access to Source?

Can a soul be tricked by parasitic, manipulative control freaks?
    Can a soul be trapped?
If a soul is trapped, does it know that it is trapped?

If we accept the premise that we are eternal beings in simultaneous time, existing in the eternal now beyond the bounds of time and space, well - being "trapped" would simply be another experience under the belt. Another challenge toward growth in eternity...

I assume that a soul has access to source in the way of being source.

Instances of manipulation through control freaks are plenty in the past, one sample being Hitler.
Such instances are however through groups - like a hive mind.

According to Hubbard writings, a soul is very hard to trap because its formless.
So, for long, long times, souls have tested with uncountable ways how to trap souls (mostly for fun - like hide - and seek.)

There are both options, that a spirit knows its trapped and that doesn't know.
I suppose amnesia would be one way to trap a spirit (not knowing).

Another one could be through agreements.

Well, obviously you're mostly not trapped or you couldn't be here. But to untrap past attention, try UCP. Here's a link that I haven't explored:

The 1982 Barbara Hershey movie, The Entity, has them employing the freezing method to trap an ghost.

You couldn't have a physical body without having all the "step down" subtle bodies, which could also be ensnared after you die. Are you still smiling? :-)

Swami Sarvapriyananda has been appointed as Minister and Spiritual Leader of the Vedanta Society of New York and assumed his duties here on January 6, 2017.

Before this, Swami Sarvapriyananda served as assistant minister of the Vedanta Society of Southern California for 13 months, beginning on December 3, 2015.

Swami Sarvapriyananda joined the Ramakrishna Math and Mission in 1994 and received Sannyas in 2004. Before being posted to the VSSCís Hollywood Temple, Swami Sarvapriyananda served as an acharya (teacher) of the monastic probationersí training center at Belur Math. Swami Sarvapriyananda has served the Ramakrishna Math and Mission in various capacities including being the Vice Principal of the Deoghar Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, Principal of the Shikshana Mandira Teacher Education College at Belur Math, and the first Registrar of the Vivekananda University at Belur Math.

Ps I cant guarantee that its in that video --I have watched quite a few of the Swami's recently but subtle body was covered in one of his videos.-- Chris

If you believe in duality then that is a situation of opposites.
    Restricted consciousness.
Then there is every possibility of being trapped--always another that is capable of doing things to you or for you..
    The jailed and the jailor
That is Maya the play of consciousness, Iswaras dream, Gods Lela.
Only possible while you fully believe you are the body when you are the in-dweller.
The body and all its attributes--5 sheaths --is here for your life experiences.
(Correction) the subtle carries on if there is reincarnation but not otherwise.

If you believe in non-duality, which the sages speak, of then restricted consciousness is not the ultimate Truth.
That which is sometimes referred to as super consciousness is unbounded, seamless--all pervading.
    I believe the mystics.
They say you are God--everything is God--Brahman.
The One, the eternal That which Thou art--One without a second
All are entitled to their beliefs.
If you believe that you can be trapped you can manifest that.
The enlightened work hard for us to point to the Truth that "they" have "persona"l experience of.

What Happens After Death ? | Swami Sarvapriyananda

To be clear the subtle body continues after death and goes on to reincarnate.
However that's because Self Realization has not yet occurred.
On Self Realization its like job done and there is no further reincarnation except by choice.
Ultimate reality super consciousness--there is no subtle body--a seeming separate individual spirit is required for this.
Subtle body comes and goes according to the Swami and is therefore not eternal reality.
Thats in the very last part of the video.

Default Re: How to (un)trap a soul

So the question arises: What is the soul? We shall give you an understanding here that will be very helpful, as long as you remember that this understanding, and any understanding We give you of things dealing with the eternal, will grow and change as you progress. What you tell a child about the world is not what you tell an adult. What you tell a child about God is not what you tell an adult. Therefore, the degree of your maturity will really determine your awareness and your understanding, particularly dealing with realities that extend beyond this world and beyond this brief period of life that you call life in the world.

The soulís reality certainly fits into this category. It was created before you came into the world, and it will exist after you leave the world. So your worldly understanding, which is extremely temporary given the limits of your time and activity in the world, will only give you a glimpse of it from a certain perspective.

What is the soul? It is the permanent part of you that God created. But clarity here is always important to allow your mind to expand and to remind you that who you are is not your intellect, or the range of your ideas, or your memories, or your grievances and so forth. What has been created in the world will pass with the world in your experience to a very large degree.

What is the soul? The soul is the part of you that God created, that is permanent and that existed before this life and will continue beyond this life.

We must understand the limitations of the flesh and its mind, known as the body that lives in a physical reality, and made of the same substance that is of this world and that all things in this world are made from.

The body was created to be the vehicle of the soul, and the soul has within it the seed of the Greater Spirit the Creator placed within the soul that left the Presence of the Creator to experience existence without being in our True Home with the Creator.

The question then arises: What is the Great Spirit spoken of here? The Great Spirit is the part of your soul that has not separated from God, and thus is able to respond to the Will of God, to the protection of God and to the Wisdom of God as it pertains to your particular life and circumstances, in this situation of living in the world.

So, in essence, your soul and the Great Spirit are not yet the same in your experience. Your soul in your experience, living in a state of Separation, is the part of your permanent identity that has separated from God. But since you cannot completely separate from God, the part of you that did not separate from God represents your saving grace.

Reunite the soul with Knowledge and the soul is complete, and Separation within the soul has been ended. In other words, part of the soul is journeying through life as a separate entity, unaware and afraid of confronting its true reality. The part of the soul that has never left God goes along, but it is responding to something very different and is a very different kind of intelligence.

The Separation was never complete because you cannot separate yourself from your Source. Even though you may attempt to do this and invest yourself greatly in this effort, in the end, it cannot be successful. That is why all souls, eventually in time, perhaps in the very great distant future, will reunite with God.

The moment that Separation was created, before the creation of time and space, the answer was given. The answer was given because you could not separate from God, and that is what will save you in the end. No matter what your religious affiliation or system of belief, no matter what your time, your cultureóeven no matter what world you exist in, in the Greater Community of worlds in the universeóthis is your salvation.

So the Great Spirit and the soul cannot be trapped in a suspended time field because they have not left the Creator, but within any life and the one you are now in, our mind of flesh can certainly be captivated, manipulated and influenced to follow a life not of your True Destiny. But, when the body dies or becomes encased in coma, the soul and the Great Spirit will move back to their Ancient Home!

Much of what I have put down here is from Memory, but if you follow the link above you are sure to discover a Greater truth of a Greater Spirit.

Thank you, greybeard. ( Chris ) Your comments are truly worthy.

Existential trappings appear infinite. Creatively referred to as Hotel California.

"We are all just prisoners here, of our own device."

But (Bill Hicks) it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money. A choice, right now, between fear and love.

    TomKat with respect
Non-duality is not a religion-- Vedanta Advaita is a religious order --however there are many separate teachers pointing to non-duality from their enlightened perspective--not secondhand information, which yes I post.
These Self Realized are there to serve, to point to the truth about you--its not about God directly.
The famous late Ramana Maharshi probably the most respected Guru of our time promoted Self Inquiry.
First find out who you are.
He maintained the whole purpose of live was to find the answerto this question and therefore reveal our true identity--thus no more reincarnation--other wise we are trapped in the cycle of reincarnation.
The only reason I posted on this thread was to suggest that there is no need to fear anything.
Time being limited in a body but freedom is our truenature of Self Realization.

    Best wishes
    Chris

I would like to point out that for the the last 9 years I have been posting videos on enlightenment by many teachers--I do not follow any one specific--I benefit from all and those who post on the thread which to date has received 900 thousand visits.
I dont belong to any organization--there is nothing to join.
Its not about me but about freedom from fear and all other negativity.
I dont claim to be right but that thread is full of posts/videos from their enlightened experience pointing to the ultimate truth within all.
    The thread is located here.
