    Default List of introductory videos

I have a friend who is starting to come round to the layers of deception in the mainstream. I wanted to sugest some good starting point videos that might encourage him to explore further. But everything i have looked at quickly seems to have a Christian or alt right slant. I know the minute he he sees that he will shut down and not look any further.

So I thought I'd ask here if anyone could recommend some good starting point vids.

    Hello enfoldedblue

Well, please just steer them to the Avalon Library, link here:

    http://avalonlibrary.net/

Initially they may want to scroll down past the 'yellow' folders to find a host of the very best documentaries that are out there, for starters.

Depending on topics of interest - and the library is by no means anywhere near complete yet although I've added a fair amount to it in the last month - there is other film and/or audio in some of those files.

That's the best starting point I can think of.

A possible place to start for someone who is happy to read is John Perkins “Confessions of an Economic Hitman”. There are videos of him on YouTube but I have not watched them so I have no idea what their slant is.

The book itself is a fairly straight telling of the economic and political collusion, corruption and bullying of nations to give up their resources and tie them to the debt model.

    My pleasure

I'll be doing a library update soon and will produce a list of what's there. Perhaps I'll aim to do this every month, with updates, time permitting.

HyperNormalisation is a 2016 BBC documentary by British filmmaker Adam Curtis.

I thought it was quite impressive when I fist watched it but I haven't watched it since. I don't know whether it would fit with the criteria you're looking for.

You could view it on youtube.

    Here is a description.

Contains very strong language and disturbing scenes.

We live in a time of great uncertainty and confusion. Events keep happening that seem inexplicable and out of control. Donald Trump, Brexit, the War in Syria, the endless migrant crisis, random bomb attacks. And those who are supposed to be in power are paralysed - they have no idea what to do.

This film is the epic story of how we got to this strange place. It explains not only why these chaotic events are happening - but also why we, and our politicians, cannot understand them.

It shows that what has happened is that all of us in the West - not just the politicians and the journalists and the experts, but we ourselves - have retreated into a simplified, and often completely fake version of the world. But because it is all around us we accept it as normal.

But there is another world outside. Forces that politicians tried to forget and bury forty years ago - that then festered and mutated - but which are now turning on us with a vengeful fury. Piercing though the wall of our fake world

    Hi enfoldedblue,
You asked for videos but I would like to recommend David Icke's books. His latest book "The Trigger" is based mainly on 9/11 but is much more. If your friend is a reader he could skip on to the parts he would be interested in.

If you are familiar with David Icke you could let him know what to expect.

    ...

I’m going to go slightly off topic here to state my opinion.

There is nothing you can recommend to your friend that will change his mind, or even to nudge it. He is either open to accepting information or not. If he is not open, the best you can do is engage him with questions. What are you reading?

If you are engaged in conversation about a specific topic, try a challenging question leading in the direction you already know the answers to but he does not.

Most people if they are unprepared to transform, the information you provide will cause them to close more, or advance mental health issues or depression, or more. The body will simply shut down.

I’ve seen this happen multiple times, especially with my older friends, their bodies shut down with disease and death... providing information seems to just accelerate the process.
Hi Joe, you are absolutely right....this is something I learned back in the 90s during my initial awakening when I wanted to run through the streets and tell everyone there was so much more going on than what met the eye....lol. However, as I mentioned, this is someone is opening to the idea that things that he dismissed in the past might actually be true. He is LOOKING to find out more. I don't believe he would have asked if he was not ready.

Thanks for all the ideas everyone. I will look into them. Unfortunately things like David Icke are exactly what would put him off. He is someone who would only consider journalists or whistle blowers with searchable credentials.

A few years ago I created a Youtube playlist I called "Rethinking How the World Really Works", although it's more about questions the usual explanations. I can be found at
    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...sfJu-c6dnDKoWX

A few of the videos have been removed from Youtube since I made the playlist.

    A few favorites:

Confessions of an Economic Hitman - John Perkins | Short Documentary

The Power Of Nightmares - 3 Part Adam Curtis Documentary

The Day Israel Attacked America - about the attack of the U.S.S. Liberty

Stealing a Nation - How the UK/US Stole the Diego Garcia Island

Foster Gamble's Thrive (2012) was specifically intended for people new to this kind of thinking and awareness. It can be criticized, for sure, but it's really extremely good as a starter.

Bill, Thanks for reminding me about this one...it is a good starting point! Only problem is that this friend is always looking for the rich and powerful to solve our problems. He believes that Bill Gates and Oprah going to change the world. I will recommend this movie to him even though it reinforces the idea that the elite will save us.

Here's a bitchute channel that, I think, grabbed a lot of Hoax videos off Youtube and reposted them here. You just click on the channel's Video button and scroll down.

There's a ton of stuff on Brussels, Paris, London, Orlando, Boston... This might be a "next level" type of waking up. But you gotta get there eventually.

But there is another world outside. Forces that politicians tried to forget and bury forty years ago - that then festered and mutated - but which are now turning on us with a vengeful fury. Piercing though the wall of our fake world
I think this topic intersects with my own research, and analysis of the effect of the WWW on our culture, which we blithely take for granted everyday, communication is absolutely central to the human universe, it is the very essence of what makes us 'Human'
, the massive expansion and distribution of vast communication opportunities, and the consequent disruption of ALL 'Middleman' representation has worked to completely alter western world perspectives - this is what accounts for Brexit/Trump and the rise of populism, it is directly through the sharing of the political resistance to the Globalism being imposed on our societies by the powerful legacy groups (Bilderberg represent the memberships). So what this documentary considers the 'shrinkage' of our world is actually the opposite, a colossal expansion of political awareness. Sorry if that sounds Contrarian, but I am adamant about this: The WWW is the equivalent of the printing press in terms of its impact on our culture, and this is the agency of change we see manifesting today, it is incremental and massively powerful.

Dr John Coleman: The Committee of 300, A Conspirators Guide is not only a great introduction but also a thorough expose for the serious scholar.
There are many, many that have not been refuted or debunked. Actually the silence is deafening! Even Bill Clinton basically endorsed Carol Quigleys Tragedy and Hope. It is 1200 pages but a must read for any conspiracy theorist worth his or her salt!

Sidenote: speaking of Salt, Julian Salt proved worthy of his name when he came out and said he had been fooled by Mark Richards after many years of writing back and forth to him and no longer believes anything he says. Julian had earlier been interviewed by Kerry C backing up M.Richards.

I think it was Mark Twain that said 'It is easier to fool someone than it is to convince them that they have been fooled'. So true! And that is why I give credit to Julian Salt for being honest and humble enough to make the correction.

I also suspect that much is credited to Mark Twain that he knew nothing about!

    Thanks guys!

Krystian, These look good... I will check out your links.

    Hi again

Okay, I've given this a little more thought (all previous suggestions have been helpful too, of course):

The Corporation is I think probably the best starting point; you'd stated video for a good reason perhaps .
