Thumbs up Meet the Boy Who Proved Doctors Wrong by Learning to Talk

Meet the Boy Who Proved Doctors Wrong by Learning to Talk

When four-year-old Christian was born with severe brain damage, cerebral palsy and impaired vision - doctors feared he’d never walk, talk or even smile. But, after one extraordinary family took him in - that all changed. Big sister Jade defied medical experts, to teach him how to use sign language to communicate. As videos of the siblings sign-singing their favourite songs go viral, Jade and Christian join us with their remarkable story. Broadcast on: 28/11/19

Me: I can related to this, as I have had a severe autistic brother ... handicapped on multiple layers ... Most "normals" would easily give up trying to raise somebody like that ... I baffled everybody that I could teach him playing chess and even using C64 later on playing chess on a computer. It took HUGE amount of patience doing that. But it worked!

That's amazing!. Jade did a great job teaching him with patience; because she believed it will work out. And It did...

What an uplifting story. The absolute worse thing a doctor or medical person can do set limits on patient outcomes. The damage that can be done is immense. Most people that are told that their family member will never walk/talk ect. buy into it 100%. The other thing is it's cheaper for the insurance/medical system to just give up rather than footing the bill for rehabilitation. It is the exceptional person that won't buy into this. It takes patience, perseverance, and discipline to do this. Unfortunately, when it comes to our health we are taught to be passive and let the professionals make the decisions. We really need to grasp that the professional opinion is mostly bought and paid for by the corporate medical system and is reflecting their interests not the patients.

Here is another account of someone that diagnosed as pretty much vegetative and the one person that recognized we wasn't, this is a very intense story.
