Thank you, Ratszinger, for sharing the great paper you wrote about sleep and altered states. It's fun to read the various theories of philosophers, psychoanalysts and psychologists, while still focusing on the nature of altered consciousness - the basis for multiple mind control techniques and possibly all of our most bizarre experiences.

It seems that the only thing modern researchers can agree on about sleep is that it is an altered state of consciousness. " !!

Something has happened that we look at things easily from a vantage of being at odds, which prevents us from seeing the greater picture. Humanity is so compartmentalized these days in all of our various modern disciplines, and so competitive in our respective points of authority.

I may be missing the point in this, but you both seem to be correct. The mechanism, basic function and necessity of sleep are not unexplained, yet the ability to readily reproduce a somnorific state without using drugs or external components to harness sleep, and the efficacy of these in allowing people to enjoy the same depth and quality of it, is at least publicly yet-to-be accomplished. So the study of how sleep affects different individuals, as well as how it is affected by their unique chemistries, psychological states and exposure to environmental stimuli is ongoing.


Certainly, the basics of most things are well-explained historically in the various occult/esoteric and noetic sciences, but not materially tested and proven by modern standards, with exception of recent elements in quantum and plasma physics that finally almost acknowledge a spiritual dimensionality to our existence/world. Standard sciences and occult sciences may seem contradictory, the metaphysical and physical may seem immiscible, but they really are complimentary and can be fluid with one another.


Thank you both, Ratszinger and Rogparan, for your perspectives in this. I find them to be extremely valuable in understanding the phenomena of sleep, dreams and the altered states common to contact and abductions.

Rog, I absolutely follow and agree with what you are saying, the biology and polarity, but reading this sentence out of context is quite disarming and funny. Most human animals would probably like to protest. It made me laugh out loud :

I hinted at PS (with brain death the human body becomes unconscious and lives in a vegetative mode), demonstrating that the issue of sleep is inherent in the nature of (All) living beings. Essentially, there is DNA sharing since from primordial bacterias to the most evolved beings.

I found more one interesting thing about these "sacred animals"

goats (ram, sheep) and bulls are used in rituals and even in sacrifices

in many cultures they are important, even economically.

the minotaur myth also shows a certain hybridization.

What's funny is not because everything you wrote isn't factual, it is, but because man's ego would probably prefer to be in some way superior and completely separate from plants. My silly inner child burst out laughing. Symbolically, they're everywhere...as pervasive as the all seeing eye. So aside of the common historical context of herd animals and agriculture, there is this volatile component of horned beings which are deliberately being placed in things our youth are absorbed in...
