Luis Elizondo speaks to the world for the first time in October of 2017.

In October of 2017, Luis Elizondo stepped out of the shadows. Whether he wanted it or not, he became an instant celebrity to UFO enthusiasts the moment he walked across a dimly lit stage. He stepped up to the microphone and began recounting his time with the Department of Defense (DOD), and how he had run a “sensitive aerospace threat identification program.” Then, at a moment which appeared to be marred by some reluctance in his voice, Elizondo told the world that while he ran that program, he learned “the phenomena,” as he called it, was “indeed real.”

The “phenomena” he refers to is that of the “unidentified aerial” kind; or more popularly referred to as simply UFOs.

LE: “I honestly never thought we would get this far so quickly. As such, I am a bit out of breath. My hope is that we continue to push hard for the truth that I know exists. Now is not the time to relax and bask in our joint success… unfortunately, the way I see it… we may have won a battle, but the ‘war’ is far from over. I think we need to engage academia, politicians, and other world leaders on this issue. After all, it affects all of mankind and does not belong to one government, institution, or religion to control the narrative.”

The article appears to contain extracts of a written interview. If this is what it was (did I miss something?), I'd be interested to hear the reasons why it wasn't done on audio... or maybe the audio will be published soon.

I don't like or trust Elizondo in any way, and audio (better still, video) always reveals much more than the carefully planned and manicured written PR word. But this is better than nothing.

My sense is that he is a disinfo agent and I too am wary.

No, it wasn't a transcript from audio. One of Elizondo's replies was

Maybe it was written by an advanced "Social" A.I. bot ... and I totally agree with you Bill that audio (or better) audio/visual shows so much more than just words & letters. Love to analyze non-verbal communications & tonation & pace of his voice (amongst others). Fine-tuning on his vibes is sometimes extremely helpful in deciding if something has value or not for our future! ... for me it helps shifting through the noise & distractions.

This strikes me as an attempt to keep the truth leaking as slowly as possible, and it's being leaked only because the secret government believes it cannot keep ET presence predominately secret for much longer.
I think Elizondo is still an operative who is being used to obfuscate what should have been made public a long time ago.
Elizondo says, "I think the best we can hope for is that the reality of UAPs is indeed real and that we need to do A LOT more homework to really figure out what these things are, how they work, who is behind the wheel, and what are their intentions.”
Credible Whistleblowers like Gary McKinnon have already revealed that the US military has been secretly interacting with ETs for some time.
Other credible witnesses have testified to seeing aliens in secret military bases, at crash sites, etc. for a long time.
If Elizondo is who he says he is, he would certainly know all that, and so he is being very disingenuous at best.
The homework has been done, the military already know a lot about how they work, who is behind the wheel, and what their intentions are!
Perhaps there are too many experts on body language accurately analyzing such statements when they are recorded visually, and Elizondo is a really bad liar, so he had to resort to a written statement rather than risk appearing in a video and having his lies picked apart by experts.

I think TTSA is a semi-independent player made up of individuals who desire more of the truth to come out but "play" it carefully having a pretty good understanding of the various stakeholders of "disclosure" and having a better understanding of The Phenomenon than over 99.9% of the population. I see them as human beings who, like almost every one of us, is, to some degree, compromised by limiting factors in their life and who have to deal with that while striving to fulfill their ideological goals and/or their personal goals.

I see all too often, people and/or organizations painted with a black or white paint brush with almost no consideration it is more likely a matter of shades of grey.

One of the problems for micro-celebrities like Dark Journalist is that they sometimes dig themselves in and that limits their ability to remain ever open minded with regards to that which they really don't know for certain. I feel for folks like this... heck, I take stands, make predictions (like bets) and sometimes, in fact many times, I turn out wrong or only got it half right, but I don't have a stake beyond a greatly beaten down ego in it. That one's been hard enough to deal with just on its own.

In 2018, MUFON had their annual convention in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia, and Elizondo was one of the speakers, although not on the day I attended. This was an very expensive conference to attend (I paid over $150 just for one day admission, day only) and they were marketing all sort of extras including a special dinner with Elizondo "where you could talk to him one on one". I cynically laughed when I heard this because I know MUFON was not going to subject him to any hardball questions. In Elizondo's presentation the night before, so I heard, there was very little time for questions and MUFON did the best to make sure that it was the Gospel according to St. Elizondo that was proclaimed and there would not be much room for doubting Thomases. So, near the end of the day, just as MUFON sold out the special dinner event, they announced that Elizondo had a family emergency and would not be able to attend the dinner, even though he so was looking forward to meeting everyone and answering all of their questions. If there is a recording of this event and you get to hear it, you will notice that right after this announcement, an audience member laughing loudly and uncontrollably - that was me - I just could not help myself!

The year before that conference, MUFON featured another very questionable guest: Corey Goode. Between the very high cost and the lack of integrity in their speakers, I really do not recommend their meetings. (However, some of the states sponsor some good local conferences.) I just attended another all day conference and it was excellent and only costs $20 for the full day at a hotel conference center, and unlike MUFON, they don't rely on subsidies from the deep state.
