    This is NOT "just the flu". We should all be way past that by now. They don't build tent hospitals in Central Park for the flu!

    And all the real reports from real healthcare workers in real hospitals, and panicked state governors in the US (who have no idea what's going on, but have to respond to their own problems on the ground), all very strongly suggest this is NOT an ordinary situation.
    Excerpt from

    Hospitals Overwhelmed by Flu Patients Are Treating Them in Tents

    Time Magazine: Amanda MacMillan, January 18, 2018

    The 2017-2018 influenza epidemic is sending people to hospitals and urgent-care centers in every state, and medical centers are responding with extraordinary measures: asking staff to work overtime, setting up triage tents, restricting friends and family visits and canceling elective surgeries, to name a few.

    “We are pretty much at capacity, and the volume is certainly different from previous flu seasons,” says Dr. Alfred Tallia, professor and chair of family medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey. “I’ve been in practice for 30 years, and it’s been a good 15 or 20 years since I’ve seen a flu-related illness scenario like we’ve had this year.”

    Tallia says his hospital is “managing, but just barely,” at keeping up with the increased number of sick patients in the last three weeks. The hospital’s urgent-care centers have also been inundated, and its outpatient clinics have no appointments available.

    I can't speak to the veracity of this report nor can I speak to the souce. Someone sent this story to me that spends several months a year in India and he puts a lot of stock in this information. I thought that many may find it iteresting.

    Corona Virus To End May 29th, Says Indian Boy Who Correctly Predicted It's Start, 8 Months Ago

    On August 22nd 2019, on his YouTube channel conscience, 14 year old Abighya Anand, predicted that the world will enter into a tough phase starting November 2019 to April 2020.

    This 6 month period will see spread of a global disease and rise in global tensions. At the height of it all will be March 31st which will mark the climax of this state, with the world looking tense.

    However on May 29th as the earth orbits away from this tough period, it will mark the decline of the global disease as spread of it will be more manageable.

    Anand, is a famous Indian protégé who has been featured on numerous magazines. Notably in 2013 he was interviewed on the Indian Times where his astrological skills were put to test. And to the amazement of many, his knowledge on astrology was considered child’s play.

    He has rightly by use of astrology predicted prices of gold and silver and other Indian related activities.

    On the corona virus, it is to be noted that it is a global war. A war between the virus and humanity, and whether governments are involved is your guess. But one thing is clear, it is war nonetheless. This he insists.

    Why Anand considers March 31st to be the climax is based on astrology. Where he cites that Mars will conjunct with Saturn and Jupiter while the Moon and Rahu, will also conjunct. Rahus is the north node of the Moon.

    This is a rare occurrence since in astrology Mars Saturn and Jupiter are considered the most powerful planets due to the fact that they all are on the outer ring of the solar system. Hence when they are all aligned, their power over earth is enormous.

    While as for the Moon and Rahu conjunction, it is also very powerful since the Moon is considered the planet of watery spreading. While as for Rahu it is considered the communicator planet.

    In terms of watery spreading he notes that, the coughing and sneezing will happen mostly at this time thus spreading the disease further. It is thus vital to observe social distancing during this time. That is March 31st and April 1st.

    As for May 29th according to his astrological understanding the axis will be broken, and thus the planetary arrangement more favorable for a cure.

    From this point on cases of reduction of the disease will be reported. As for the economy, the slowdown is predicted to end in November of 2021.

    This isn't for the faint-hearted, nor for the statistics-deniers or the "it's-only-flu"ers. For those following this thread: Covid-19 is either a bioweapon or it's not. (I'm personally certain it is.)

    You can't suspect it's a bioweapon AND doubt the deaths, the cases, and the diagnoses.

    There's no logic in that. That's just confused thinking. It's a grim truth that bioweapons usually do exactly what they're designed to.
    Bill, I appreciate your insight and "clarity" of vision of the situation. But statistics actually leans more towards the "it's-only-flu" and if you follow the models, their predictions are changing dramatically towards "it's-only-flu". Both Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx, as well as many other prominent specialists in this area, do believe that the death rate is actually far below 1%.

    Since you have personally recommended David Icke's insight into COVID 19 situation. I am not sure if you noticed or not but he is an "it's-only-flu"er. He is actually, in your words, a contrarian.
    Well, I'm a contrarian, too. I'm personally certain all this is a sophisticated operation that's been well-designed for many years. If so, all this would have been wargamed out already in supercomputer models.

    And, if so again, then the possible (or not-impossible) scenario of a Chinese retaliation and further escalation would also have been wargamed out. Maybe the Chinese have been (or will be) deliberately goaded to do this. All this will have many, many layers.

    What that leaves us with is figuring out what the overall intention of all this is. I'd suggest it's sure to be multi-layered, too. But the multiple answers to the Cui Bono? question would be fairly obvious to everyone reading this.

    Consider this. If someone's deploying a weapon, it makes much more sense to have designed the weapon well so that it does precisely what's intended. That seems to be exactly the case here.

    The Chinese showed us there was nothing ordinary about this in Wuhan in January.

    Of course, the media escalation (and filtered reporting) would be all part of the 'weapon'. That's obvious, too.

    But the reality is rock solid underneath all this. No-one needs to be covertly inserted in ICU units to pull the trigger because the weapon's not worked properly. It seems to be working perfectly efficiently.

    If this is correct, in whatever supercomputer models have already been run, the global chaos, societal denial, slow adaptation, refusal (by some) to comply with lockdowns, easy transmissivity due to the failure to cancel flights and do ANY kind of proper screening, government incompetence and lack of speedy response, lack of critical supplies, will all have been factored in. And the WHO's criminal mishandling of all of this.

    Now, I may be wrong. But if another virus starts to make an appearance in the US in the next 4-6 weeks, then everything's different. We'd be in a true nightmare. No-one here would be arguing over tiny things any more.

    And remember: if this does happen, the numbers start small — first individually, then in small clusters. But anomalies would gradually appear and become recognized. One might have to search out the reports. The 'boom' phase (c.f. Chris Martenson) happens a month or two after that.

    This is just a hypothesis. But it's not a crazy, unintelligent, untenable one. It may even be more likely than the much-touted mass arrests, that never ever EVER seem to happen.
    Why 4-6 weeks? That seems a quick response time to me. If the Chinese were to decide that this was an attack and retaliate, I think they would wait until the perfect moment, even if that's a year from now. Now, that's based mostly on what I've learned about how Chinese think through my dh (who is Chinese) and his family. But they play the long game. The phrase "revenge is a dish best served cold" would be extremely applicable to them.

    Wanted to pass off a quick personal anecdote here: being that my home state here in the US (Kentucky) is not yet in a state of lockdown, I ventured out to the grocery store today to gather a few fresh items. And I wore a mask...

    Couldn't get any of the now well known N-95 masks, but had already a stash of good old fashion dust masks as stand by. To tell y'all the truth it DID feel weird, and I do believe us Westerners (especially Americans!) do indeed have a vanity thing about this, me included, but it was just time.

    I do still have many questions and doubts concerning the predicted death rate of this thing, but that does not mean I'm not taking it seriously.

    The "older" folk like me pretended to take no notice, but the young lady I dealt with at the register I noticed could not bear to look at me.

    And I understand that, I really do... It DOES look a lil freaky!

    Anyway, I figure if someone around here has to be a trend setter than it may as well be me lol. There goes crazy ole Gracy with her weird mask on today, and by this time next week it may well be normal.

    Regardless of what anyone out there thinks about this folks, please be on the safe side until we can all figure out just what the heck is going on here, no matter the possible origin or purpose of it.

    I should remind you if you are healthy and wearing regular mask for protection, you are doing wrong.

    Doctors wear them, to protect patient not them self.

    It seems you are wearing butterfly catching net on your face, you migth catch a butterfly but in this case, other viruses and bacterias stucking on your moistured mask and you are going to inhalate more than necessary time to contact.

    Pink eye now linked as possible symptom of coronavirus
    "CINCINNATI (WKRC) - There's a new warning as yet another symptom seems to be linked to the coronavirus.

    The top symptoms of COVID-19 have not changed. They still include a fever, dry cough and shortness of breath. This often results in complications of pneumonia. But we are learning some of these symptoms often follow a few others:

    GI symptoms were announced last week, and then there's a newer one this week: It’s conjunctivitis, also commonly known as pink eye. It's an irritation of the eye that causes redness, swelling and sometimes discharge.
    The American Academy of Ophthalmology, or AAO, has just now reported that coronavirus can cause a mild form of this as well, and if you have it, it's tough to tell if it's coming from this virus or another cause, so look for other symptoms of the virus to follow.

    The AAO says this conjunctivitis appears to impact about 1-3% of those with COVID-19.

    What's interesting is that while we certainly can get the virus by touching a surface and touching our own face, the AAO says pink eye appears to come from "aerosol contact with the conjunctiva," or the mucous membrane that covers the eye, which means from respiratory droplets.

    They also say it's not unusual for any viral illness to show up in the eyes, but they do worry these eye secretions may also transmit the virus."

    Strategic risk consultant and best-selling author F. William Engdahl discusses the Coronavirus "pandemic" and how scenarios by the Rockefeller Foundation in their 2010 report and the 2019 "Event 201" Coronavirus pandemic simulation by Microsoft's Bill Gates (in conjunction with pharmaceutical companies such as Johnson & Johnson, US military, CIA, and the head of Chinese CDC) foretold in detail the events we are experiencing in real-time with the COVID-19 crisis.

    He explains how he never could have imagined such a dystopian geopolitical scenario in his wildest dreams. This is an extreme thought which may be partly right or wrong as the case might be.

    During the WW1 and 2 millions gave their lives to protect the freedom of the people, now we are seeing that freedom being eroded with the propaganda that current restrictions will save thousands of lives.
    Do the right thing stay home -- you will be saving the NHS -- saving lives.

    The media has hyped up the severity of this epidemic, yet the figures can be disputed.
    There is no base line of the numbers of people who have got this virus yet it is touted as much worse than the seasonal flu.

    I accept its different but every virus is --
    The figures so far for the UK are not proving this to be an exceptionally bad virus.
    The recovery rate seems good -- the length of time people are affected is approx 14 days.
    Most who died had a serious underlying condition, people who have these conditions tend to die at this time of year.

    The PTB must smile
    They dont really have to do that much -- just hype up, create fear, of a normal event.
    The majority of people are scared of death, its inevitable.
    Time spent studying spirituality or going into the root of any religion will find that there is life after death for everyone.
    Celebrate the life of those that pass over --miss them --but no need to mourn.

    Following on.
    There can be no record of the deaths that are caused by stress and anxiety that loneliness inflicted by this situation causes.
    Not everyone has a computer to communicate and possible power blackouts have been warned of.
    People cant go to self help groups like AA.
    Meeting in numbers verboten --who knows what they might talk about or arrange.
    There will be suicides through loss of businesses. loss of income loss of houses, break up of families due to all these factors.
    Now would the number of unrecorded deaths through this exceed the number of lives supposedly saved by the current extreme measures? Who knows !!
    But worth a thought.

    Boris is spending millions sending out letters to every household in UK --is that rational?
    Lets face people have been bombarded by the media -- they know what we are not allowed to do.

    Now here is the Government sending out paper when it has been implied that paper can carry the virus.
    We are still hung up on numbers without enough thought as to why the overkill of draconian measures.
    I know people will justify the use of these but they could have imposed social distance and elderly and vulnerable -- those at risk of any flu/virus bug, to stay home. That would have saved life and the economy that we all rely on.
    Government help for the self employed and others has to be paid for by whom????
    No free lunch.

    There is no base line of the numbers of people who have got this virus yet it is touted as much worse than the seasonal flu.

    This pandemic has caused a frenzy of paranoia Media reporting, irresponsible speculation, which causes social reaction, hype to the point but it can do self harm. Let's get a grip on a large scale of problems that are facing. The human species itself. The biggest threat to us is ourselves, cause and effect, our lifestyles, how we treat each other and the lack of sense of community. We have been driven and systems we follow, such as economics, to be self centred, competitive, even to the point of it being detrimental to our own survival. The insanity whipped up by the media reporting of this coronavirus has only fuelled the worst in humanity.

    Right. Please allow me to tell you all the following in open forum, considering the severity of the situation and our shared experience with new world disorder.

    There is a reason why you or I don’t want to get the virus. Especially those of you who so oppose all kinds of “vaccinations” but those are generally reconstructed from deactivated RNA material that has passed through microscopic “filter” and its chemically blocked from reproducing itself.

    Generally speaking, the virus family is very vast and diverse, naturally and here on Earth with each specific viral organism out of the trillions behaves differently,
    we don’t know that much about “all viruses” till they attack and start feeding on us.

    They stay in your body even after successful cure, in small number for long time. When reinfected, the next stage of infection can be even more severe than the first. Small number of people in every group are able to create immunity and survive the disaster. Not true for the rest, we don’t know what way is the Covid 19 going to affect people in future.
    Some may suffer from periodic coughs or GIT problems for their lifetime.

    I’ve seen many people discretely suffering from consequences of “simple viral infection”, some end up paralysed or with severe neuralgic symptoms after contracting any kind of viral disease.

    So the conundrum is: you don’t want to get the virus.

    Don’t take the risk unless you have to, or if you’re medical worker or taking care of friends and relatives.

    Japan news:

    Positive retests rise questions about virus remaining in the body

    It says 20% of asymptomatic patients who tested negative after 6-20 days recovery period retested positive later.
    That’s not a small number.

    These very first findings on its behaviour reveal that it is able to survive in the body for longer time and cause “persistent infection”.

    This very fact also confirms that we need medicines -antivirotics - capable of destroying the virus, wiping it out from our bodies completely.

    Similarly to many other viruses like the Epstein-Barr virus, hepatitis A n B, the Lyme
    disease etc. they are very difficult to get rid off in totality, causing severe fatigue syndrome, headaches and generally, never ceasing inflammation of some kind.

    That’s why, you don’t want to get infected or “vaccinated”, or come in to contact with it and if you do then please follow the cleansing protocol of disinfection,
    cloth removal and wash in hot water, shower and thorough cleansing before you even try to grab the box with vitamin C

    You may be the one with perfect immunity or the one whom the virus won’t like ( oh too sour &#128567 but don’t take the risk ..

    it’s not worth the costs even if it’s just like a flu.

    🙏

    Bill you've just made the best case yet for all those 57K troops surrounding Switzerland.
    Just maybe, this too. (From Mike Adams, in this article yesterday. These are just excerpts.)

    Sign #1)
    President Trump activating one million military reservists with medical skills to treat battlefield injuries. Details of this order are found in the EO text at WhiteHouse.gov.

    Sign #2) The Pentagon ordering high-level staffers into deep underground bunkers in Colorado. This was announced by NORAD and NORTHCOM in a Facebook town hall meeting. Obviously, you don’t order military staffers into a 2,000-foot deep bunker just because of a virus.

    Sign #3) Secretary of State Pompeo just ordered all Americans living overseas to return to the US “immediately.” The cover story for this is that the coronavirus is collapsing international flights. But that alone would not justify all Americans returning from living overseas, since many Americans would just hunker down where they’re living. But Pompeo wants all Americans to return immediately, which is the kind of thing you do before a war breaks out (with China, most likely). Via The UK Independent.

    These three events are unmistakable signs that high-level officials within the Pentagon and US State Department anticipate actions of war in the very near future. China is the most likely adversary.

    Expect an attack on America when the nation reaches “peak pandemic” health chaos and economic disruptions.

    ~~~
    I'm NOT saying I believe this, or expect it. I'm just connecting a few widely spaced dots, and pointing out it's not impossible.
    I don't disagree that most people get this and seem to get over it fine. But it doesn't take a majority of people getting ill to have more patients than hospitals can handle.
    And yeah, the media will hype any drama so they can make money. But I don't think my local hospitals are asking for handmade masks because of the media. Our local doctors and nurses aren't on social media pleading for people to stay home and sharing stories of what's going on in their hospitals because of what the media says.
    Also, I'm concerned about the reports of people who have lung damage even though they have no symptoms. People aren't immune to this virus in advance, not in the sense that they have antibodies. Many people might be able to fight it off and not get a deeper infection, but if their bodies are not producing the necessary antibodies, how does that look in the future? If the virus attacks and damages, and the body doesn't build up an immunity, I'm wondering how that might play into future events, particularly with future waves and mutations. The idea that this virus might make you more susceptible to future infections instead of giving you antibodies to fight it off is concerning to me.
    So that's what I'm looking at.
    Also, perhaps there are some discrepancies between where you are and where I am. When people get sick here, no matter what, they do not stay home from work for 2 weeks. Not even 1 week, not unless they are literally in the hospital. Even with a doctor's note, there are many people who are not allowed the time off. Too many people simply lose their jobs in any kind of health crisis.
    I don't want anyone to lose their jobs, especially those who are self-employed and self-made. I am pissed that our government won't take actions to help people like your sons. But I'm equally pissed that people will be left in hallways to die because we didn't take steps to keep the hospitals from being overloaded.
    The U.S. has bungled this from the start, and there are too many people who are still listening to the words that were spoken not really that long ago about how they didn't have to worry and how they didn't have to make any changes. They are still bungling this because they won't put teeth behind the guidelines. All the big-name "essential" stores are packed with no face masks and no one even attempting to keep the six-feet distance.
    They're afraid of "shutting down the economy" but the half-hearted measures that they've done have only hurt the smaller businesses and the heart of our economy, which is the everyday person, the small business owners, the self-employed, NOT the stock market.
    They could do better. But they're not.
    I believe that strict mitigation measures are necessary. I don't believe that should mean that people's livelihoods are destroyed. I believe that we can do both.
    I don't think we will, though, and that really angers me. So this last part was a bit of a vent. Nothing personal to you!
    On a more general note, I don't have the time to watch YouTube much. I can read and skim much quicker, but if it's a video, those tend to get skipped for time's sake. Also, a lot of the comments on this thread seem to be at a level that I'm not interested in. It's like talking to my engineer husband--I think he makes things way more complicated than they need to be. No offense to anyone! I just feel like the conversation has kinda gone in a direction where I don't have much to offer. But I felt like your points were worth dialoguing with, Chris, as though maybe I could offer a different perspective without spending too much time at the computer (which I totally failed at LOL).
    Rainsong:
    Your time spent keyboarding was not in vain. Your detailed comments are a fresh breeze in the stuffy conspiracy laden air I've found here lately. Thank you.
    Fact is, antibodies ARE produced and can be detected. The blood tests coming to the UK test for both antigens and antibodies. So you can know if you've been infected in the past, and if you're a potential asymptomatic spreader at the time of the test. If this isn't darned valuable info, then beam me up Scotty ^^^^^
    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/202...antibody-kits/
    Question is, why don't we have this test in the US? If the conspiracists really got their heads together we might have plausible, actionable answers to this question. Back in my younger days we had investigative reporters who would have been all over this question.
    Determining who is spreading without symptoms is the key to making sensible laws and regulations that fix the problem instead of making it worse through ignorance or maleficence. And yes, masks and gloves are necessary.
    Who in their right mind would deny the necessity for masks and testing?
    These are the masks I purchased in January. They are made from materials that kill bacteria and viruses on contact, so you can use the mask up to 28 days. They are designed to be worn 12 hours a day. They seal. They were approved by the FDA in the US, but shortly after I made my purchase I discovered that the Canadian manufacturer put a note on their website, 'currently not available in the US.' Go figure.
    http://www.nexeramed.com/cfiles/products_defender.php
    But those Canadian N99 SpectraShield masks are probaby not available anywhere now since the Canandians sent their manufacturing of the masks to China. The special antimicrobial treatment is available through the US patent holder:
    http://www.fosspm.com/technology/fosshield.php
    Try to convince me that a country like the US cannot grab this technology and put it into a mask for doctors and first-responders, then into the hands of the entire population without delay? This is not rocket science. The same for the blood tests. The UK government seeded the funding for that blood test and they received timely results. It wasn't even that expensive to engineer.
    Helium, I meant to get back to you earlier, sorry it took so long. Agape's post reminded me. I agree about the tests and the masks. The "problems" the US has faced with the tests, the mask shortages, etc. are not believable that they happened by accident or mistake.
    My point with the antibodies was only that you have to catch the virus first to produce them. So you're not immune in advance, not in the sense of having antibodies. But we're probably talking past each other on that.
    What I'm speculating about with permanent lung damage and future problems, Agape outlined much better.
    That leapt right off the page for me. I don't really want to say it, but I've been very much in agreement for a while. It almost seems obvious.
    The shambolic incompetence has been staggering, with Trump naively all at sea (thus far) and with something VERY wrong with that whole chaotic picture. Nothing could have been engineered better to collapse the US into total social and economic chaos (maybe political chaos, too).
    For me, the key questions are increasingly who's behind this and why. But I do strongly suspect all this has only just begun.
