Outside of San Antonio and Travis AFB in CA receiving some quarantined individuals, there has been zero heard from my end of the stick. No special briefings, warnings, etc, and no precautionary measures in place as of yet. Having been to various overseas military locations in the past few weeks, to include the Middle East, not much has changed. This makes me question the “panic” of this virus. I truly hope I am wrong, however, and that all settles itself in due time. Peace to all.

Things have certainly changed from the time of my last post. Now, our installation and most others are in Health Protection Condition Charlie, and access to them is highly restricted. Units in the installations have gone to below minimal manning, and are now operating at what are called "skeleton crews", meaning, the bare, bare minimum, while most of the force is "self quarantined" to their homes. Any items touched or used during a shift must be completely sanitized. Whenever aircraft land, they must be air vented for a specified time before ground crews can board, and then proceed to be sanitized or decontaminated, depending on if symptoms were reported on passengers or crew members. Crews abroad on missions are at times restricted to eating and sleeping inside the aircraft unable to leave to rest in hotels or barracks (MREs are now always on board), and if they are allowed off of the aircraft, they are restricted to the host installation. Needless to say, things have certainly gone from interesting to not very good. As a side note, the amount of domestic and foreign fighters coming in and out is staggering, which is highly unusual, as we mostly deal with heavy aircraft. One can only hope it doesn't get any worse than this, but I'm inclined to believe I will once again be wrong.

Observations from my town. Since the 23rd this state has been in a shutdown mode. No group gatherings, unessential places of business are closed and social distancing are ordered. Today I went out to take my dogs on a walking trail, one of several I go on and they have now closed all those areas as of today. It would be very easy to practice social distancing on these trails and I haven't seen anybody "abusing" this. It really seems arbitrary and punitive to do this.

Last week no one in this area seemed concerned in the least about this and now the paranoia is thick in the air.

What this tells us (or confirms!) is that this is now simply everywhere.

I don’t think this is the correct conclusion at all.
Not long ago Boris Johnson visited a hospital and boasted he’s shaken everyone’s hands including some patients’ who’d tested positive. His own health minister is infected and he may be personally responsible, not to mention for countless others.

The prime minister has previously been accused of failing to keep an appropriate distance from other senior figures in public, and has continued with parliamentary duties this week, raising the possibility that he may have infected others in the cabinet and beyond.

I've long since come to understand that suicides are not necessarily suicides. They often involve people who 'knew too much'.

A couple of things have been bubbling away under the Tintin foil hat recently which may be worth factoring in:

1/ Exercise Toxic Dagger that was taking place at the same time as the Skripal 'poisoning' two years ago - was this exercise a practice run with this very virus outbreak in mind?

2/ A reminder that the US has many dozens of known biolab facilities dotted around all over the place and some insight on that could be gleaned from this important documentary ('Diplomatic Viruses') made a couple of years ago.

It cannot be impossible that modified strains of a coronavirus being discussed here could have been released from any one of them, anywhere, at any time.

So we have 2 "authorities" dressed to the hilt in PPE passing out notices that someone in or near the apartment complex died of Covid and someone has confirmed that this is not true. This does appear to be organized fear mongering and blatant deceit. Next one of them pulls off his mask to talk, contaminating his mask and breathing in the contaminated air, after all they are telling everyone that this area is contaminated. Does he now go home and infect his family? The whole thing is really, really weird.
