The good news is that this is an old malaria drug, very cheap and completely unprofitable. As to the effectiveness, don't know but initial signs are positive, although it may only work to reduce early symptoms but not in the later critical stages, if a patient develops more serious infection.

Here are three posts from Cynthia McKinney's Twitter; one purported to be from Long Island, NY and one from San Diego, CA - and one from Italy.

The human spirit has a way of breaking out past the boundaries.

Perhaps this video was taken in San Diego, but it was not taken on Long Island. I live on Long Island. There are no leaves on trees this time of year....
Interesting, when I first posted, I saw all three posts, including one that was said to be taken in Long Island, NY. Only the San Diego CA, and Italian post are showing now. I looked on her Twitter page and saw both but can't see the Long Island video. I looked through my history and found it was removed from Twitter.

I do agree with Bill that this is bioweapon grade. If it was released by any party other than the Chinese themseves they would have reacted differently than just trying to put a lid over it. I suspected from day one that the Chinese stole, like pretty much every other technology, the virus, not the exact replica but a similar strand from the West and the technical means to weaponize it. Either by carelessness or more likely not fully capable of handling it properly they let it out of their lab. They are trying to shift public opinions and blame it on the US. Well, good luck on that. Wake up world! Prepare for a long march here on. Its not just the virus, shooting war is coming once the Chinese gets to recover while the rest of the globe is still in disarray. The Chinese will not sit and wait for the world get better then take them to world court and make them pay for their crime against all humanity.

Reality Check ... Truth-CHECK: Seasonal FLU "TWICE as Deadly" as Coronavirus?

I've been warning for the past few weeks so just take a look at the numbers from the W.H.O. and in an “apples to apples” comparison, the Coronavirus has HALF the mortality rate of the seasonal flu when it comes to "death to confirmed cases" ratio.

I copied this u tube link to others and they got the message video no longer available wonder why.
Have watched the video and I think it is reflecting the truth.
Have read else where that the symptoms for most are mild -- small percentage hospitalised with breathing difficulties -- some die.
    Seems it last 14 days.
The advice given is stay at home if you have any of the symptoms -- your immune system can cope with it, take paracetamol for fever.
So many businesses and income put at risk for something that lasts 14 days and may not be as severe as seasonal flu.
Sorry for those that have lost vulnerable relatives.

The medical professionals are reporting some pretty horrendous cases so I'm taking it a bit more seriously than Seasonal flu. Before the first reports came out in the uk somebody in my family had it we're sure. Aged 25 and it started with fever and shortness of breath, pneumonia and eventually infection in kidneys and liver. He was put on steroids and ventilator as an outpatient for his oxygen levels, he was allowed home between sessions/bouts. He went back to work too soon, seems ok now though but still breathy and he's over the quarantine window, even though he didn't quarantine, wasn't told to. If it was the virus which it looks like it was, it's a lot more of a hit than seasonal flu. That said the hysterical response to it is just as scary, and emptying the shops and not listening to the jobbing Doctors and nurses is a mistake. No matter your age we need to take this seriously, best try avoiding getting it or spreading it to stop the health systems buckling and the consequences that brings. It's understandable people will panic and the media's play by play is fear porn at its finest but we do need to take this seriously imo. Most of us will still be around after but we may lose many yet nasty damn thing it is. Don't panic Cpt Manwaring ! It'll pass.
Btw this just a response to his headline heard enough commentary already in real life, so didn't indulge .

Just Throwing this out there: a friend of ours who lives within a quarantined region of Italy says that two days ago she witnessed tanks on the streets and coincidentally (?) noticed her phone had switched to the 5G network the same day.

Somewhat related, although not to covid19, we were going to go up to Budapest to a 5G protest last month until we read the small print which said it was an "online protest". Online protest??? Talk about taking the wind out of the sails of the opposition. Nothing terrifies government more than a multitude of protesters storming the government buildings in protest........oh sorry, my bad, joining a facebook group lol.

    Several points here.
    1. The video is still available.
    2. Flu is not "twice as deadly" as Covid-19. Nowhere near. Whoever believes this doesn't understand the numbers, and maybe doesn't understand anything about this at all.
    3. Don't reduce any fever if you have one — unless it's dangerously high. Fever is your body's well-evolved natural system for killing pathogens. Fever is a GOOD thing to kick in if you're sick.

    My opinion is this.
It has to do with economics, invisible hyper inflation, thats it !

Money is power and power is what "they"want.
As always with this big agendas they have multiple plans coordinated as 1 single event.
A new World Order wants this:

    9/11:
Start war on terrorism (Afganistan and Iraq)
Patriot act - let people be offended by the state they trust in, (creating fear)
get thoose buildings down SOMEHOW, because all the asbestos in them made it impossible to demolish
    Create Fear!

    Corona virus:
Get rid of the old people, Most of the people dying are old, or weak . Georgia guidstones, 500 million left to live on this planet.
Get rid of paper money, they are making this virus spreading!
Vaccinate people (It used to be called implant's, in 2020 its down to nanotech)
    Create Fear!

I´m happy to have so many friends in this comunity in times like now, please share your toughts with me

So your basic position is that Corona/Covid19 is not even an issue anymore, Wuhan virus, whatever they've called it. It's a bioweapon and it's mutating.
    Thanks for your post, also.

I'm just saying the mechanics of testing are no longer relevant if you (or any friends or relatives) are fighting for their life on a respirator.

They are important for predicting growth scenarios, and tracking outbreak clusters (if possible! But soon that'll no longer be relevant as 'community spread' sets in everywhere, like with colds or flu).

But the reality of thousands of sick people I see as being self-evident. I don't believe we're in the Truman Show here, with everything out there being "Faked". To disbelieve all the thousands of reports coming in, even on Twitter and Facebook, and WeChat, is just head-in-the-sand denial.

It's not about the mainstream media.
They spin the significances and implications, and filter the importances, but the numbers all this is based on are very largely real.

It's all more complex than that. The threats, and the realities, are all out there. Go to any of Chris Martenson's videos (or Dr John Campbell's) and read through the comments. There are many from health worker frontliners all over the world. They're not all trolls paid by the Deep State.

At some point, we need to start believing that some things out there are real. It's about the preponderance of evidence.

Or else we're in Flat Earth land, with the extreme view being that there's no way to "prove" that Cape Town or Moscow even exist at all if you've never been there. We all need to ask questions about everything, but we also need to be highly intelligent about all this, and this is where on this thread we can all help one another out.

And that’s why I’m here on the PA forum – to get OUT of Flat Earth land. Heck, I live in Flat Earth land where everyone has ignored reality even when I tried to warn them. Now I’m getting emails from friends just a short distance away who are absolutely freaking out and they expect me to help them NOW? I told these same people that the time would come when I wouldn’t be able to help. I was ignored.

Our local public health department perpetrated outright fraud on the public. Local newspaper articles were passing on mis-information as little as a week ago that led people to think that they could only be infected by patients who were sneezing or coughing. I pointed this out to the editors of the newspapers but it was too late. We are rural, but the place is a tourist trap. Infected individuals from the big cities are coming here to get away from their locked down cities, just to have fun. And even today, with LA and New York absolutely blowing up, and unemployment at record levels, these idiots keep coming with their stupidity and their infectious bodies. I’m hoping the roads and bridges are closed soon. It may still be possible for our rural county to emerge relatively unscathed from the situation. Common sense dictates that those roads be closed to non-essential traffic.

So, yes, we need to start believing in things that are too small to see. No matter where this virus came from, if it is a virus or not, makes no difference. Once the hospitals are full, inordinate numbers of people will die for no good reason. There is such a thing as common sense. Try telling that to the lady who used to be my neighbor before I moved a year ago who’s screaming at me about how she’s stuck in her home with a dying dog and no food and hysteria going through the roof. She has no memory of me telling her that this was coming and that at some point I would not be able to assist her. Hysteria rules.

Lots of people want to monetize that hysteria. The Health Ranger is one of them. There are lots more. Do they offer any reliable information? Only to those who can cut through the crap. And the only way to cut through it is to have a fairly calm center where rational thought can take place.

I packed in medical supplies such as oxygen and common pharmaceuticals thinking that they might be necessary to help others. I thought about setting up my microscope so I could demonstrate how hand cleaning was crucial. But what I didn’t account for was that nobody really cared. They paid no attention. Until now. And it’s far too late. In Chris Martenson’s sad words, this didn’t have to happen.

Think Calm. Then you’ll think with clarity. Then maybe post on the Coming Psycho-Social Transiton (CPST) thread where we can deal with hysteria. I'm thinking that we can set aside a day of the week on CPST where we do nothing but post jokes.

Coronavirus: Minister Hints At Lockdown As Public Ignore Health Advice
    HuffPost UK Rachel Wearmouth,HuffPost UK

Updated: See the latest stories on the coronavirus outbreak

Communities secretary Robert Jenrick hinted a lockdown could be enforced to stop the spread of coronavirus, amid fears people are ignoring advice on social distancing.

The cabinet minister warned the public that advice on social distancing “isn’t a game” and the government will be forced to consider “other options” if people continue to flout new rules.

It could see the police enforcing rules on self-isolation and social distancing.

Boris Johnson ordered pubs and restaurants to close this week and asked the public to stay at home and away from others.

The vulnerable - including people aged over 70, pregnant women and those with existing health conditions - should strictly self-isolate for three months, the prime minister also said, as he underlined the measures were vital in order to save lives from the potentially-fatal disease.

But despite this, reports have emerged of crowds flocking to beaches and families mixing closely at parks.

Speaking to Sky News, Jenrick said children should not be going to play dates and that, while it was OK for people to go outdoors and exercise, they should be avoiding crowds and keeping their distance.

“Lots of people sat out together in parks or on beaches. That isn’t sensible. We strongly discourage that,” he said.

He added that if people continued to ignore advice, the government would take further action, he said, suggesting the police could be asked to intervene.

It comes as emergency legislation to tackle the disease is set to include powers for the police to arrest people who refuse to isolate themselves.

Jenrick said: “We want to live in a free society where we can continue to go about activities whilst following the medical advice. But this isn’t a game, it is very serious.

“People need to follow that advice. If people don’t follow that advice then clearly we’ll have to consider other options, but none of us want to go down that route.”

GPs and have identified 1.5 million people who are particularly vulnerable to people. Those people will receive a letter from government imploring them to follow the advice for 12 weeks.

He also stressed that these people would be guaranteed food supplies.

London mayor Sadiq Khan, meanwhile, urged people in the city to follow the advice and stay at home.
Be kind to all life, including your own, no matter what!!

I´m happy to have so many friends in this comunity in times like now, please share your toughts with me
I fear your hovering more precisely over the target than most would like to contemplate at this time....

I just ran across this. Not sure if it's been reported here on PA forum yet, but now it is. Maybe a new symptom to help determine an infection from COVID is ongoing even without the usual fever, etc?

Didn't notice the very last paragraphs. The UK still thinks you shouldn't self-isolate unless you have fever or cough. It's so disheartening to see this kind of disinformation at this late stage of the game, and particularly in an article like this that could tip people off that they may be infectious if they have a taste or smell anomaly but no other symptoms.

Think Calm. hen you’ll think with clarity. Then maybe post on the Coming Psycho-Social Transiton (CPST) thread where we can deal with hysteria. I'm thinking that we can set aside a day of the week on CPST where we do nothing but post jokes.

Helium, as your neighbor on the Olympic Peninsula, I have made the exact same observance. We are getting large groups out here on bicycling trips and Kayak trips. Maybe if they just stayed outside but I'm sure they are stopping in every store that still remains open. Probably stocking up on that last roll of butt wipe someone overlooked. Up until a few days ago, so many folks out here thought this would stay in the big cities.. Instead, the vacation season out here just started earlier than normal.

I hope the folks that are working in the grocery stores and other retail places will be treated well and compensated if they get sick.

As I have come to realize, this has become not about the viris, but about your freedom.

Once you start to fear anything.you have lost your humanity.

I refuse to be told what I must do, by anybody. Once I do, I become the servant of the one trying to tell me what to do.

I will do what I do,with much love and respect, for all.

I will most likely be a casualty of the this viris thing. because I will not conform to marshall law. I will defy it. I will not stay home as ordered to.

I do this for me, and all everywhere. Do not give your freedom away.

Once you do, you will never get it back.
stand up now. F the viris at this point in time. Love to all.

Sorry I didn't notice the paywall, but using a Canadian VPN server seems to have punched through it with no challenge. Bless Canada. I'm off to the kitchen to see if I can taste French toast (promised myself to write nothing but humor today, regardless).

    Pam:

Can you imagine how many will be over here partying when they get their COVID checks from Uncle Sugar? Just a few bridges closed would surely help. Anyone still working in anything but essential stores really should take their vacation now. I'll remember to reward each and every retail worker with a Hostess Ding Dong when the stores open after this is all played out. Just hope we still have Ding Dongs when it's over.

Pet the animals and cluck at the chickens for me today!
